The food on the breakfast buffet was cold. Food for room service was good. We had sliders, steak, and calamari. Favorite was potato hash.

Ordered the salmon; it was excellent! Presentation was perfect: salmon on top of assorted sliced veggies, with rice.

Good food, quick service. I think they may have read the previous reviews since everyone was super attentive!

Chef Anthony DiGregorio is doing something really special here. From the moment you walk in, the whole place just feels inviting. The open kitchen adds a fun buzz, and the staff couldn't be nicer--they really make you feel taken care of without it ever feeling over the top. And the food... wow. The charcuterie board has this melt-in-your-mouth pâté and amazing cheeses. The prawns are so good you'll catch yourself reaching for "just one more" every time. The tuna tartare is unbelievably fresh--one bite and you're hooked. The burrata with heirloom tomatoes is bright and flavorful, and the duck special? Let's just say you won't want it to end. Then dessert shows up--a cherry blossom cake that's light, beautiful, and just screams spring. Everything comes out on gorgeous Pordamsa plates, and honestly, each dish looks like it belongs in a photo gallery. No matter what you order, you really can't go wrong. Your taste buds will thank you. And bonus--it's just a short Metro ride from DC, so getting there is easy. I've also heard the hotel has great packages, and if you stay for breakfast, the deliciousness keeps going! Go. You'll be glad you did

We were impressed that the…read morestaff picked up on my birthday, since I didn't mention it, and offered a complimentary dessert. Server Kelly M. took our order for a Caesar Salad, Margarita Pizza and a glass of red wine (light meal). A different person delivered the salad and pizza to us, and the food was good. However, we never saw Kelly from the time she took our order until we finished eating. She then showed up with an empty wine glass, said the wine order did not get put in, and asked if I still wanted it. I said "no" since we were done with our meal. At that time, I requested the Cheesecake w/cherries for my complimentary dessert, a small box for pizza, and the check. More than 20 minutes later, Kelly brought a box and the check, but no dessert. She then asked if I "had decided" on a dessert. I repeated that I would like Cheesecake with cherries. After nearly 30 minutes there was no sign of our waitress and no dessert. We were not happy at this point, left cash payment on the table, and walked out. We have eaten at Reston 60 Vines multiple times. No complaints about previous visits; food and service were very good. However, due to the long waits, inattention, and mistakes by our server on this visit, we were very disappointed. We felt management should be aware of this so they can correct the problem. I'm sure you expect better from your employees. We will have to think twice about dining on your patio this summer. Linda

This was my second visit to this location…read more As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by staff members. They let me check out the place before being seated. The bar area is self-seating.I chose to sit in the bar area...the only remaining big table with high chairs/table...it was packed! The happy hour is pretty awesome here. They have daily happy hour from 4-6 pm, which is pretty awesome, starting early and ending late. There is also a power hour from 3-6, where everything on the happy hour menu is $5, which is a little early!! The menu includes regular bar food and a variety of drinks (as shown in the picture). We ordered the following: -Let that "man"go - in general it's an iced drink, so I'd avoid. -Spicy pina marg - another iced drink. It was ok. -I'm Ron Burgundy (2x)- this had a nice strong coffee flavor, doesn't come with ice; I would highly recommend it...they made it so good!!! -Maker's mini nachos - There proportion of chips to toppings was off there wasn't enough toppings and too many chips, but there was a lot of cheese. -Calamari was a good portion, and tasty -Chicken tenders - they were delicious and moist There are so many items to choose from on the power hour/happy hour menu. I would definitely recommend lil B and the wings. There was live music, which was just way too loud for such a small space. We would have been okay with all the music. There is plenty of parking available in nearby garages, I believe free after 5pm. There is also timed/paid parallel parking. Would I return? definitely!

The one blip was when we first entered, the young-ish man at the host desk looked at us with a "What are you doing here?" grimace. I was stunned since the hosts are usually very happy to see patrons come in. Beyond that, though, we had a lovely time. Our server was quite friendly and got hubs customized Cuban order just right. I had the killer tomato basil soup and tasty grilled cheese. I also got an order to go of the Buffalo Chicken wrap. It was yummy the next day for lunch. We hadn't been to NYAJ's in years. It had somehow fallen off our dining radar. We'll be back more often after our recent terrific dinner.

I meet some old friends at this restaurant fairly often and we are always well taken care of. We often have Caesar as our waiter and he has been there a long time, and always does a great job. He is polite, friendly, professional and attentive. The food is good. I don't know if I would say there is anything fantastic about it, but I have never had a bad meal there. I've had the chicken parm, the Cuban sandwich, burgers, and salads and everything had been tasty and freshly prepared. I love a good Cuban sandwich and NYAJ's is a good one, and they are one of the few restaurants with a Waldorf salad on the menu, so I have ordered that several times. My only critique of that would be, I wish it had the candied pecans that are listed as an ingredient on the menu, but the last 3 times I have had that salad, they have been missing. I also love the French onion soup there, as well as many of the appetizers. You really do not have to worry about getting a bad meal at Not Your Average Joe's, it's very reliable.
