Filed a complaint with Texas DMV. I hired Swift Movers LLC for a move in San Antonio on February 20, 2026. During the move, their crew wrapped and transported my 55-inch Samsung television, which was fully functional prior to the move. After unwrapping and powering it on at my new residence, I discovered severe panel damage, including cracking and vertical line distortion, ruining the TV. We observed the crew drop a plastic box containing personal belongings and drop our mattress, demonstrating careless handling practices. I booked the Basic Move option and was informed verbally that damage claims are considered on a case-by-case basis. Despite this, my claim for replacement value was formally denied, citing lack of a specialty TV box and basic coverage. Attached are photos of the damaged television. I've used Swift Movers twice and had planned to continue using them, but this experience changed my mind. A four-hour move cost roughly $700, plus packing materials and a $100+ tip. Unfortunately, the crew left two boxes behind, which forced me to spend an additional two hours retrieving them myself. I notified Luis, the owner, about the issue and never received a response. Even a simple acknowledgment or apology would have gone a long way. Pretty helpful but unfortunately, I had the movers pack up a shipping container for me and wasn't able to stay and watch the entire process of them putting my items into it. When I was in the new city unpacking, I found multiple things broken, chipped, marked up.. and it was clearly a rushed and careless job. I thought the movers were kind and even gave a bunch of stuff away to them.. sad and disappointed to find my items were carelessly thrown into the container and my favorite piece of vintage furniture scuffed and chipped :( Was hopeful. Recommend you avoid Swift Movers. We contracted with them to pick up, store, and deliver our household goods for a local move. The pickup seemed to go okay, and we paid for several months of storage in their facility. Problems arose when they delivered our household goods. Not only was most of our furniture damaged or outright broken, they "lost" several items in their warehouse. They claimed to search for them, but to this day, have yet to find them. We filed the appropriate claim paperwork with them, and were told their insurance company found that they were not liable/responsible for the loss of property nor the damages to our household goods. I asked to see the insurance response, and was told it would be sent to me. That NEVER happened. We begrudgingly accepted their low-ball settlement offer months ago, but have still not received it. Luis, their representative, called me about a month ago and said they were having financial issues and couldn't pay us yet. When I asked why the insurance company wasn't sending us a check is when I learned about the insurance company finding them "not liable". I wonder if our claim ever even made it to any insurance company? Our next steps are to file complaints w/ the TxDMV and BBB. read more

Swift Movers has been absolutely fantastic for me! I've used them for 3 moves over the last 5 years and I've been really impressed with the professionalism, responsiveness, and reliability of this organization. In all instances, pricing was transparently estimated, and quickly, and usually comes out near what was estimated when I'm signing off at the end of each move. These guys are quick and super hard working. In some instances I've moved with their truck end to end and they did a great job of disassembling furniture, wrapping furniture, etc. While it is always a risk, I've never had damage to furniture or breakables. During the end to end moves, they provided moving blankets for transport at no additional cost and simply removed them upon arrival. My most recent, and sadly, final move with Swift, was not an end to end move but rather they loaded a storage pod for me. Despite being an incredibly tight fit, the team was able to get everything in for us. Good to note that in this instance I did purchase my own moving blankets ahead of their arrival. The took a minute to review everything that was going to be loaded and made a plan for what to take in which order. They wrapped all the furniture and fragile items in blankets and plastic wrap. They loaded and unloaded in just about the time they estimated and left everything clean and exactly where we wanted it. Luis scheduled my appointment for me and was very flexible and helpful when I needed to make changes. The price was reasonable and the team was great. This is going to sound weird but... I've not used their services BUT I am at work sitting at my front desk inconspicuously, no I'm not a creeper, watching these guys work. Our floor is quite upscale and quiet. These men are not only quiet but have been working efficiently, very mindful of their surroundings and don't mess around. Hard working crew with little or no direction needed to get the job done. I've witnessed many moving companies that have been here before but nothing like these guys. No yelling back and forth, no loud music playing, no cell phones going off (oops spoke to soon, but he turned it off), no horsing around with the art work and bronze sculptures that surround the workers. Very hard working and respectable group. As far as value, yeah well I don't know. I can only comment on what I witnessed in person. Great job guys. read more

These guys were amazing!! My daughter is a college student in San Antonio (we, her parents, live in Houston, and travelled to help). She set up everything for the move. They were super responsive and very reasonable. Their original quote actually went down after further evalution of her items. The day of the move, there was a HUGE issue with getting her keys to new apartment. We were supposed to get keys at 10 am, movers at old place at noon. My daughter arrives at new place to get keys...NO ONE SHOWS UP UNTIL 1 PM. She was on the phone on and off with Luis trying to work something out. Luis was able to secure a crew to come at 3 pm!! AMAZING!! We were moved out of third floor single bedroom apartment and into single bedroom apartment on third floor in new place...in temps that were above 100 degrees the whole afternoon! I've used this company twice and the first time was truly a five star experience. This second time was still good and honestly I didn't prep anything before they came to pack and load my stuff. Considering the mess they came into, I was overall pleased with the service. My complaint is that I specifically asked them to pack or wrap all the art work to avoid any damages because some were high sentimental value and a few high monetary value. One of the art pieces of higher monetary value unfortunately had a hole from the move- it had been left unwrapped and shoved between two items. I'm still pretty upset, as it may not be fixable. We were disappointed that they picked up an extra laborer because they were short on workers. This is per the dispatcher call when I called after they were late showing up. The extra worker appeared to be on drugs or recently off drugs with welts on his body, even the other workers commented on his poor and creepy condition. They should use their own workers or at least screen extra labor they pick up for help. They also damaged our TV when loading it and unloading it along with their dollies and other items they loaded. Since they loaded it in one of our trucks and trailers, they claim they are not responsible for any damage. It would have been nice if anyone on their team would have stated this when they were loading it or we could have made other arrangements. They tried to say they did not load it, but their team did along with their other items. Their workers even made mention it looked like it may have some damage when they unloadied it. Either way they take ZERO responsibility in these damages and did not offer of assistance, even partially on our damage claim. The company must be run by lawyers because they use whatever means they must avoid any liability in any way. I would say try another company, but I have yet to find a moving company that I would use again, and Swift has been added to companies I would not use again. read more

I went online looking for movers with high ratings. Swift was honestly the highest rated one in the San Antonio area. We were moving from San Antonio (Stone Oak area) to Bulverde. A total of 7.7 miles. The crew showed up on time and the head guy (Eddie Sr.) asked if we could go in and see what all was being moved. I showed him our two bedroom apartment that we had already packed 97% of in boxes and labeled 97% of those. Everything started off good. It went well for a while. At one point I happened to walk by and see Eddie Jr. take a box from one side of the room where he was in plain sight, to the other side where he was not visible unless you came into the room. The box was marked clearly as "files" and also said "office". I knew this box well because I kept it easily accessible as I needed to get things out of it between the time we started packing and the time we moved. It contained personal information and also had important documents. When I walked into the room Eddie Jr. had his hand inside the box. When I reported it to his supervisor (his dad) there was nothing done. Shocker! The crew them started slowing down and taking longer. And longer. And longer. I guess it was like they were expected to take a certain amount of time to complete the job or something. Upon arrival at my house (7.7 miles away) they started unloading stuff. They asked which rooms were which, so the could put stuff according to how it was marked by us. Having said that, I have kitchen boxes in my garage, garage boxes in my guest room, master bedroom boxes in my office and living room boxes in my office. These guys clearly did not care. I also had boxes and furniture that were turned upside down, sideways and any other direction you could imagine. Light way boxes under heavy ones, you name it, they probably did it (or didn't do it which ever way you want to look at it). They happened to damage the stair rail in my apartment by breaking the metal bracket that holds the rail to the wall. Joel, called me to coordinate repairing this piece a few days afterwards. When he showed up, he took the broken piece and went to Home Depot to get a replacement one. He also had emailed me when I sent in the negative review on their website. He apologized for the bad experience that I had. He then offered to set me up with some free moving of anything that I didn't need in my house (if I ordered furniture that didn't fit etc...). Why would I want them in my house again? Who in their right mind would want these crooks back in their house? I showed him while he was in my apartment of the garage full of stuff that didn't get moved due to the lack of speed or swiftness from their crew. He seemed to not care at all. He also saw that I was moving these items in my Camaro. Not ideal for hauling items. He tried to cover up for his crew as well. He tried to tell me that the reason Eddie Jr. was probably moving my box or looking inside of it was to "stack it" or "check for valuables". It was clearly marked as "office" and clearly marked as "files". The fact that it was already on a stack of boxes and his dolly was not where he moved it to also tells me there was something going on. When I told Joel this information he stated that the crew told him that they were checking it for breakables. My advice is stay AS FAR AWAY from these people. Swift Movers should be called Swift Crooks or Swift Con-artists. $1000 to move 7.7 miles and moving from Fort Worth to San Antonio was $1200... Really? Update from CSR... You were quoted for 7 hours 45 minutes... I was also quoted for packing in that 7 hours 45 minutes, not just moving. read more

Hired Swift Movers to help pack up a POD for an upcoming long-distance move for my family. Price was decent (not the best, not the worst), but they were friendly and had good reviews, so I figured it was worth the small extra amount. Showed up quickly and worked quickly and effectively, with a bit of guidance to ensure that things were appropriately laid out in the container we have. We had already started pre-packing, so there wasn't a ton left for them (but I also didn't expect there to be a ton left for them, was more focused on having the help for some harder items that they handled masterfully). Overall, this would almost be a perfect review, save for the slight fact that they appeared a bit eager to get out and leave towards the end of the main items being loaded. It wasn't an 'end of the world' type of deal, mind you, they still did good work, and if I was in the need for movers in the area, I'd still choose them again, but they could have done just slightly better there. read more

I was NOT expecting that at all but my realtor was wanting to take picture of my house and I wasn't ready for her but my husband called Swift Movers (last minute) and they helped me get my all of my crap out of the house. I needed help getting the big things house like a refrigerator, couches, emptying out a shed out back, Christmas decorations, table, workout equipment from my house to my husbands house.
