I hired Evolution Moving for a whole-house move on May 21. Before the move, I explained the contents of the house during the estimate process so they could estimate the scope. On moving day, I emailed additional instructions because I would be unavailable by phone. I provided my partner's contact information and specifically requested that all garage items be packed and moved. Daniel Rios confirmed that everything was received and that the movers would contact my partner before leaving the house. Around 11 a.m., my move-out cleaning crew informed me that a substantial amount of property was still in the house. My partner had not received the load-up call, and I had not received any updates from Evolution. After I contacted the company, I was told only a few open boxes had been left behind. When my partner arrived at the new apartment later that afternoon, the garage contents were missing and fewer items had been delivered than expected. The crew stated they had not been instructed to move anything else. When I contacted Evolution again, I was told there had been a misunderstanding. I was then offered a separate two-person crew to complete the move, but only as a new move with additional charges. When I arrived at the apartment that evening, I discovered that the dining room, kitchen boxes, and entire garage had never been moved. My friends and I ended up completing the move ourselves. It took three days and six truckloads. Afterward, I found that beds had been placed in the wrong rooms and not assembled, furniture had been left partially disassembled, room-labeled boxes had been piled in the kitchen, furniture had been scratched, and the hardware for my son's bed was missing. Justin Rodriguez later located the missing screws in the back of the truck, though some were badly bent. I emailed Daniel seeking a response and he replied with a completely ai-generated email blaming me for the misunderstanding. To Justin's credit, he came to my apartment on his day off to help move furniture into the correct rooms and assemble it. Throughout this entire process, he was the only person who consistently communicated with me and attempted to help resolve the situation. What ultimately disappointed me most was the lack of accountability. I repeatedly had to initiate communication myself, and after the move I called the owner every day for a week and left a voicemail seeking a resolution. My calls were never returned. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Evolution Moving. read more

They helped move my son from my house to an apartment in October. They were very professional. When we arrived at the apartment, the apartment was in the process of being cleaned. The moving guys unloaded the truck and put the furniture in a hallway, out side. About the time the truck was unloaded, the apartment was ready, so they then moved the furniture into the apartment. They were calm and reassuring. I felt the price was very fair, especially after getting bids from other companies beforehand. I was about to give 5 stars until I found out that one of my jewelry boxes was taken from inside my sock drawer. I just barely noticed it since I am in the process of updating and consolidating other furniture. There were two guys. One was talking to me and working on the living room and kitchen items. The other one handled the bedroom by himself. Also I had forgotten that I had this glass box in there since I don't go in that drawer often. The two packers were David and David and they were great! My husband and I ordered a POD that we realized after delivery was too small. David and David worked quickly packing our items into boxes and then worked hard to pack the POD. Not for their lack of trying but the POD was just too small to fit everything so we had a second POD delivered for the next day and they came back out the next day and did just a great. I wish we had known how great this company really was because we would have gone with them for the entire moving process to Florida. This is my 3rd time hiring Evolution Movers (is there a frequent movers rewards program I can sign up for??lol). Every experience with this company has been great from start to finish. Moving is a gigantic chore and they make it so much easier. Scheduling is also easy with Zach; he's very responsive. We were happy to see Ricky back (he had helped us on a past move) and enjoyed the good natured attitudes and great work ethic from him and the other guys, Kevin, LJ and DJ. They were very professional but also made the day less tedious with lots of good banter, laughing and even some singing throughout all the heavy lifting. FALSE and MISLEADING ADVERTISING This company boasts their level of professionalism and care for the furniture and belongings of their customers, but this was far from our experience. When we hired Evolution, we let them know we had high expectations due to the value and beauty of our furniture and they assured us that it would all be taken care of, as if it were their own. We trusted them and believed their reviews. When it came time to move, much of our furniture (which we had explicitly stated we were concerned with damaging) was not even wrapped as it was loaded into the truck. Unfortunately we did not catch them in the act, and it was only after the move that we realized the very damages we were afraid of. Although the workers acknowledged their mistake, the company and its management have failed to deliver acceptable compensation. They were unable to fix the damages, and they threw the textbook at us by offering a few cents per pound on the furniture. We are incredibly disappointed and feel swindled by the only mover we ever hired. Be careful. This company talks a big game but they struggle to meet their own declarations of quality and care for the customer. In their words, "We knew this move was going to be tough.." "We are a small family business and we can only do so much ma'am." Our heirloom table and chairs are permanently damaged. 10/12/2020 UPDATE: Based on our experience with Evolution, we are not surprised by their response of trying to minimize this by saying we suffered a small scratch/nick. This was no small scratch. There were MULTIPLE nicks on our chairs as well as on the table. Please see attached for some of our pictures along with a screenshot of the owner's original response (they had the audacity to change their response on Google and Yelp). If you all were so proud of the work you completed for us, why did you terminate one of the crew members? The chairs and tables are worth over $15,000.00. You offered us an amount that would not even cover the cost to resurface the table. What you are saying about recommending additional insurance policies, is false. We are first time movers and we made it clear of our concern, in no way were we told that we should purchase additional insurance policies. read more

They seemed to have a plan on how to load the truck and made sure it was very efficient. They took great care of all our furniture pieces. We decided to use a moving company for our moves this summer (2020) due to social distancing and wanting to keep our friends and families safe. We did some research and ended up selecting Evolution. From start to finish they were very communicative and professional. On our first moving day, they called us shortly before arriving and have us their ETA. The two employees, Dillon and Corey, were very courteous and were working hard. They take the time to wrap the furniture to make sure there are no damages. At the end of the move, they let us know you could buy the blankets they used to wrap and they would buy them back next time. We elected to do so with several pieces. On our second moving day we had Matt and Dillon helping us out. Again, we received a message letting us know their ETA for arrival. And again we were very pleased with how nice the guys were. They hustled and were done a bit faster than they quoted. They did buy back the blankets from the first move as well. I will not be using this company again. A piece of my furniture was broken by their people and was reported during the move, it was addressed via a text to Ryan Hughey. Who I assume said something to the main guy in charge of my move because he immediately came inside and try to put the broken leg back on the cabinet. After further investigation and inspection I noticed it wasn't just the leg that was broke it was a bigger piece. I have sent emails with pictures. No response so far from anyone at this company.
