The ambiance both tines were skewed towards un enjoyable as it seemed as if they were understaffed with slightly irritated staff. The Food was a 2.5/5. The first time I came I had the southern eggs Benedict while my partner had the Wisconsin omelette. The southern eggs Benedict was delicious while the omelette was very bland. The real disappointment was visit #2. I thought the first visit was a fluke but the second visit was worse. I ordered the chicken and biscuits while my girlfriend ordered the chicken and waffles. For the chicken and biscuits, the chicken was very good, however; the poached eggs were rotten. They had a brutally strong sour flavor which nearly made me throw up. It immediately ruined my appetite and made it so I couldn't eat for nearly the rest of the day. For the chicken and waffles I can't say if it was good or bad as my taste receptors were saturated with a foul flavor inducing a physiological response to avoid food. read more

Although it can get busy, they have a good number of tables so there isn't typically a wait to be seated. The food is really good with both sweet and savory options that cater to every taste. Enjoyed another experience at SweetDiner! This time with my sister who has never been, so it was fun to bring her somewhere I knew she would love. It was a little later in the afternoon on a Saturday so luckily the wait wasn't as astronomically long as it normally is. But hey long waits just means the place is great! They now have a separate side to the restaurant where folks can go hang out while waiting for their table, which is lovely. There's standing high tops and a bar on that side as well, so you can grab a drink (which we did)! She went for the French 75 and loved it, noting the pour was generous. I had their playhouse paloma. Loved it! You can really taste the blood orange liqueur and it pairs well with the grapefruit juice. We were both drawn to the sandwich side of the menu for lunch. Well technically we ordered from the "toasts" section but they came out as sandwiches (paninis really). So just something to note. My sister loved her buffalo chicken sammie! I ordered the chicken and pesto and would say it was okay. Just overall pretty dry in my opinion. I wished there was a bit more of their homemade pesto on there. SOLID 5 STAR BREAKFAST SPOT This was the second breakfast spot we hit up during our Milwaukee trip. This restaurant delivered everything I was hoping for. This restaurant delivered and met all of my expectations. . We got the Chicken & Waffles and Waffle & Berries for breakfast. I know, strange that we order two different waffle dishes. But as we were sitting look at the menu, we saw the server walk out multiple times with both of those items. So we decided that we might as well order that since that's what everyone's ordering. And the food did not disappoint. Both items were excellent! I probably will order different things on the menu next time but what we ordered it was really good. I sit at the bar and watch all this gorgeously prepared foo come from the kitchen and sit before me and everything is beautifully prepared. They PUMP out food while maintaining HIGH quality. I had to make contact with the guys in the kitchen with a thumbs up to let them know they were doing a stellar job. He gave me a thumbs up back. I very rarely eat bacon but this bacon is quality, thick and perfectly cooked with just the correct firmness. I had to order some. The service is excellent. My waitress Holly served me one day and when I showed up the next day she wasn't my server but yelled out 'Hey Kev, how are you doing?' As she scurried past. T The atmosphere is lively but not too loud. It very clean and has a modern decor. Overall, it is a wonderful pick me up for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Now, all this does come with a price. I met some girls here for lunch and really enjoyed myself. Our waitress was attentive and sweet, and our food came out fast and hot. I'd never had Chicken and Waffles before, so decided this would be my first. The cornbread waffle was nice and fluffy, and the large sized chicken tenders were plump and juicy. Overall, I would say a basic, no-nonsense version of this dish. The Ham Hash was savory, and the Nutella French Toast was sweet, both coming in generous portions. Parking here is metered and on the street, and on a Monday mid-afternoon I had no problem finding a space. The food display is beautiful, making you want to dig in right away. The cinnamon roll pancakes have delicious sweet toppings that keep reeling you in. Pecans, cream cheese frosting, cinnamon sugar, oh my! You don't even really need syrup. The chorizo tacos come with four which is plenty. The toppings include cheese, pico, verde salsa, and crème fraiche. I'm not always thrilled about chorizo, but these were perfect. Not greasy and a great combination of flavor.
