The Brussels sprouts grinder was an explosion of flavors. The combination of nuts, vegetables and different textures creates a great balance and makes it a great option for non-meat eaters. I went here as part of a party of 10. This is a small restaurant but they were able to accommodate us by pulling together several tables. Our server, Maria was very attentive and did a great job. I ordered the CBR wrap. It was good but the bottom was soggy, I guess it was a sauce or dressing in the wrap, but it made the wrap less appetizing. I also ordered a side of Brussel sprouts. The cheese curds were flavorful but it was chewy which could just be because we picked up the food. The fries could've been better too. The wings were a bit dry and we got the Nashville hot sauce which had 4 fire signs which was misleading because it was actually spicy sweet instead of actual spice. I would just say to be upfront about that but the wings itself were great! Fried to perfection and packed with the flavor. I ordered the Korean bbq wings and they were delicious! Plenty of meat and the perfect amount of sauce. I started with a side of ranch which seemed to be homemade. I then asked for a side of blue cheese and it was so good! The wings came with a side of fries and I wish they had been cooked for longer. I'm normally not much of a hamburger person, but I haven't been going their Monday special and the burgers are amazing! For five dollars you get a burger with grilled onions and American cheese and it comes with one or two pickle slices. You can add extra toppings for a charge but honestly, you really don't need it because the burger is so substantial. You can also pick from a list of sauces for aand some are pretty unique, including the giardiniera aïoli. They are cooked on a grill and seasoned perfectly. Prior to my trip to Milwaukee, I did thorough research on where I could find the best cheese curds. Ultimately, I decided to go with Camino, and it did not disappoint. These were legitmately the best curds I've ever had, and they'll be hard to top. It came with a Russian dressing for dipping. I enjoyed this, but think ranch would've been a better pairing. We also got the potato cheddar and potato and fried onion pierogis. The latter was a special. Of those, I preferred the potato cheddar. Lastly, we got the everything pretzel. To me, the taste, and even the texture, were reminiscent of an everything bagel. I was intrigued by some of the other menu items, but will have to wait until the next time I'm in Milwaukee. They have nightly specials, including a $5 HALF POUND burger on Mondays, and $12 wings on wing Wednesdays. Oh, and half off Perot is EVERY DAY during happy hour, with a rotating flavor. A frequent stop of mine, it can be busy on burger Monday, but I often can sneak a stool at the bar. read more

I've heard so many good things about Camino, so I was excited to try it. It wasn't busy when we arrived. There was loud music but small crowd which felt kind of funny. The waitress was attentive and nice. We ordered cheese curds, the burger, brussels sprouts, and fries. No sides come with the meals, which I didn't love but also not a big deal. What I found kind of frustrating was that on top of charging for the side they charged for ranch too (and we ordered multiple without her mentioning it was extra). The burger was really good, and the cheese curds were too. The crispy brussels sprouts were disappointing, they were very crispy but completely unseasoned/flavorless. We ended up pouring some of the ranch on them for a little flavor. Another downside is their vent hood must not work well because the busier it got the smokier it got in there. I can't believe I'm writing a less than positive review for this place but here we are. I came in with my boyfriend for a Monday burger special. Everything was fine for the most part regarding food. My problem is when we were issued the bill. We had a $5 burger plus toppings, a $6 veggie burger plus toppings, two sides, and two waters. Our bill came out to $52. I asked for a topping to be removed from my bill since it wasn't on my burger before I saw the total. She showed me that it was her mistake on the handheld checkout device, no big deal at all, but this showed me that she didn't "accidentally charge the wrong check." I confirmed that it was my burger, and she ran it for $52 while standing there at the table. I asked for an itemized receipt because it seemed wrong. She came back and said one of the burgers accidentally charged full price with a corrected check of $23.... A $29 difference. The math doesn't add up. Prove to me this isn't a skimming scam. I'm quite upset since this was a favorite place of mine. The food is not one star but this experience definitely is. read more

Unfortunately, over the past few months my food has come out lukewarm or cold, the fries especially. Date of visit: November 9, 2023 We popped in here before a show on a Thursday and the place was hopping! We asked for a table for two and was told that we could sit at the bar or it would be a 25 minute wait; not having that kind of time, we went with the bar, but immediately regretted it: It was not really a space big enough for two people and worse, the door to the outside was immediately to our right and was propped open with a chair. I believe the high that day was 55 degrees. We kept our coats on for the entirety of our visit. On the plus side, I'd not had a pierogi before and found them to be quite decent. I also appreciated the open kitchen concept; the kitchen is essentially also the bar, which means you can definitely keep an eye on the food as it is being prepared. I don't recall the server's name but she was fun and friendly and kept things moving for us quickly, which I was grateful for, see the aforementioned open door. Not so good? The Smokey Annie, which was served like it had been sitting outside that open door as it was not very warm. The bread looked high quality but would have been dramatically improved with some toasting. I had such a great time at Camino's Yelp elite event that I knew I had to bring my husband here as we both love pierogies, he enjoys trying different beers, and the additional food and drinks I got last time were delicious. We went on a Saturday night around 7:30 and had about a 30 minute wait without reservations. Once seated, we were served very promptly. The cocktail I got last time, the gin lavender lemonade, was unavailable. Instead I got what seemed like a similar drink called Sage Against the Machine. It honestly was only okay - it tasted mostly of sour mix. We started with fried pickles and the potato and cheddar pierogis. The fried pickles had decent flavor, but they were mostly soggy which was less enjoyable. The potato and cheddar pierogis were so good! I would eat the filling like mashed potatoes any day if that were an option! I got the Brussels sprouts grinder which I got last time as well. It was good, but needs a little more salt in my opinion. It's also better with some heat! But the combo of the Brussels, apples, walnuts, and melted cheese is so unexpectedly delicious! Parking is somewhat difficult, but I did a lap and found one right in front of the restaurant. Lucky me. Music is loud hip hop, tables are full on an early Tuesday night, servers are friendly, and food is hopping!! wings: Per the server's suggestion, I had the dry rub with Alabama White on the side. They charge extra for the side of sauce, but I would definitely get the wings either just with the sauce, or with on the side. The dry rub was ok, but feels dry. The wings are pre-baked and then fried before coming out (per the server), but kinda felt like it was fried and then baked? catfish o'boy: the highlight of our dinner. It was hands down, one of the top 3 fried catfish I've had in Milwaukee. And the best I've had since covid. I'd go back on Friday for their fish fry. So crunchy on the outside and OH-SO moist on the inside. Perfection. brussel sprouts: they are fried and seasoned, and not drenched in wet sauce, so it's more savory than sweet. Love. Fries: well seasoned, crispy and soft at the same time, just the way I like it. Their daily deals are definitely worth looking at before going. Came here with friends for the first time- ambiance is a dark laid back vibe and it was a pretty packed restaurant. I ordered the Friday Fish Fry with Brussels sprouts for my side. I'm shocked I hadn't made it into Camino before considering how much I love Walker's Point. Camino is not your typical bar food. This cool little divey bar has delicious food that is prepared in front of you in this little kitchen/the bar area. The weekend I was there, they had kimchi fries as a special and man, they were delicious. They had the perfect amount of seasoning, cilantro, and of course kimchi (not over cooked either). I also had the Italian beef which I was a little worried about given that I'll drive to Chicago just to eat them. It was delicious and the Au jus on the side was balanced and flavorful--I could almost drink it on its own. The staff is so friendly. Definitely going to come back to try the burgers and other specials on the menu. Check out Camino for some great food and craft beer/drinks.
