Another great meal at Mimosa! Getting on the wait list on the way over is the move! We were seated almost immediately after arriving. Our serving team was friendly and efficient, our food came out quickly, steaming hot, and was delicious! I loved the birria skillet special, and my husband enjoyed the chicken souvla skillet (my usual!). The fresh OJ is excellent, too. read more

Mimosa is becoming one of my favorite brunch spots! This is our second time here. I opted for the belgium waffle with fruit and it was by far the most delicious waffle i have had. It was soooo light and airy. Pure perfection. The strawberries and blueberries were fresh. I also highly recommend their classic breakfast and skillets. The sourdough bread is my favorite and their fresh jams. I had some toast with my waffles because i couldn't resist it. Their breakfast potatoes are also so good. Service has always been fast here. Will definitely continue to come here and I highly recommend. read more

Good food and service, relaxing environment. I've eaten breakfasts in here multiple times over eight years. Mimosa never disappoints. We'll return next time we're in town. read more

We stopped here to mix it up from our normal breakfast stops. Plenty of parking once you get back there up the hill a bit. We came around 8:30 on a Sunday and had no wait. When we left though, there was a line forming in the front entry. We were seated in a booth directly under a speaker. It was a bit jarring at first because of how loud it was. We were helped by 2 different servers who stopped by often though we weren't ready right away. Then, we had a tough time getting them at the end of the meal but the place was starting to get busier. The prices are a little high but the portions were large. We both got omelettes which were gigantic with plenty of fillings but a bit light on cheese. I liked the Mimosa potatoes but they were a little greasy. The side pancakes were on the smaller side and just okay. I plan on opting for the sourdough toast next time. The drinks were expensive across the board but I understand they make a lot in house (OJ, apple cider). Will probably skip the mimosa next time. This isn't our new favorite but won't avoid it by any means. read more

I love a good mimosa and they did not disappoint! I ordered the eggs Benedict and it was really good! I'm pretty picky about my hollandaise sauce, but this is approved!! Our server, Jack, was so patient with us, which was very appreciated. It's a nice, bright spot for a great brunch with friends and family! read more

I met a group at Mimosa and it was such a great experience. The wait staff was patient and pleasant. The mimosas are the best I've ever tasted. I didn't try the orange juice alone but I think that's the key. I also tried the birria skillet special which I highly recommend. The flavors worked together really well and it was delicious. I would definitely come back to try more dishes. The food and service were high quality. read more

Great fast service and very spacious and bright. This place was hopping on a weekend morning. Despite the crowd we were able to get in on the waitlist and had about a 30 minute wait. Instead Of waiting they also had the option to sit at the bar, first come first serve, and it worked out really well! I've been here before as well and it wasn't as busy. It might be related to the Mother's Day holiday, but really it makes sense why they're busy. They have a great wide selection of food with specific allergy indicators that were very helpful for those who have dietary needs such as gluten free or vegetarian. I tried the amberry pancakes. So good and pretty looking with their toppings! read more

This restaurant only has 2 disabled spots out front. I was bringing my older parents so luckily we found a close spot as someone was leaving. We did the option to get on the wait list and it was about 10 minutes longer than it said after we got seated. The service was spotty. The beet salad my mom ordered didn't have dressing and it took several asks to get her some. The hot chocolate I ordered with milk was not good. My blintzes were not cooked enough but the fruit on top was fresh. My father liked his eggs, bacon, and pancake. I asked for crispy bacon and it wasn't honored but they took it off the check after I asked them to. Runs like a new restaurant that is still trying to figure out the kinks, water came after our ordered drinks. Is loud inside because there's nothing soft to absorb the sound. Would only return if I couldn't get in somewhere else. read more

At one point, I worked as a restaurant and wine critic in NYC. One of my favorite restaurants, called Dean Street Cafe, was located across the street from my apartment. They made a terrific burger with a slab of blue cheese topped with tart pickled red onions. But their signature dish, if you will, were the perfectly cooked handcut french fried they served with their burgers. The fries were long, expertly crispy and pillowy soft inside. The last fry was as crisp as the first. My brother, a chef from Ohio, came to visit once and I took him there. His eyes popped at the first fry he ate and exclaimed, "Damn, someone in the kitchen cares about potatoes!" That happened to me the first time I ate at Mimosa. I ordered an omelet with the house breakfast potatoes, which taste like they are slowly cooked in olive oil until fork tender and crispy on the edges. Easily some of the best potatoes I have had in MKE. Then I reached across the table and stole a handcut french fry from my daughter's plate. Late in the meal, the fry was still warm, brown and perfectly crispy. "Damn", I said, "Someone in the kitchen cares about potatoes!" Then disaster struck. The regular french fry cutter die must have broken in the kitchen, and now they cut the fries terribly thick like Lincoln Logs. Sure they're still beautifully brown, but because they are so think and have a higher moisture content to surface area they simply cannot get crispy enough. Within a minute of the hitting the table the logs of fries are soft and soggy, and no amount of fry time will help. If it were not for the great fry debacle, a story I have yet to confirm with the restaurant, Mimosa would easily be one of my few five-star restaurants in the MKE. The menu is large and offers something for everyone. Including many gluten-free and plant-based options for myself, old school corned beef and hash for my dad, terrific south of the border specials that my wife loves, and plenty for our kids. Sure the fries were once legendary (and I hope the chef will read this and order a replacement die for the fry cutter), but if you've made it this far in my review rest assured that every dish here taste like it is cooked by someone in the kitchen who cares about their craft, and the house potatoes are an (almost) fine substitute for what was once Milwaukee's best french fry. read more

Good food and fast service! I would highly recommend using the online feature to check in in advance.

Mimosa has made it into our breakfast rotation for a lot of reasons: *Fast service *Lots of seating *Good versions of the classics plus some interesting things too. I love their "chicken chicken chorizo" which is pulled chicken and chicken chorizo in a creamy sauce. Absolutely delicious. *Their fruit bowl is much nicer than sad, slimy melon Overall, if you dig Mad Rooster you'll like Mimosa. read more

When your extended family is in town and you want delicious food and great service, where do you go? The answer for my big Filipino American fam: Mimosa!!! Cousin Pro Planner was in charge of figuring out Family Breakfast for 25 people the day after a younger cousin's wedding. Mimosa has accommodated us in the past and they did the same for us this time. The trick is to call way ahead of time. The food was awesome as usual. I had chicken and waffles which hit the spot. My boyfriend opted for Biscuits & Gravy with a couple of over medium eggs. I snuck a bite of the biscuits and gravy- Holy Moly! Next time that's what I'm getting! Service was fast and friendly. They didn't seem overwhelmed with our group. That's amazing because we can get pretty loud and chatty. Lol They were awesome about splitting up the bill. We are grateful for this because it saves us from doing the math for splitting the bill! My family and I will definitely be back for more. read more

Each time we go to mimosas we enjoy our meals and experience. My only concern is Mother's Day. If my review was just based on the food I would rate this place a 5! We had made a birthday reservation for 11 people at 11 am on a Sunday. When we walked in this place was an absolute madhouse. There is nowhere really for people waiting for a table to stand other than the bar area (which was full) and the walkways where all the wait staff are trying to move through. They need to come up with a better system for people who wait like outdoor seating with heaters or something ! They said our table would be set up for us and we waited over 15-20 minutes to actually be seated. In my opinion if I call and make a birthday reservation that table should be ready to go. Once we were sat our waitress got our drinks right away. My Mimosa was great. The bloody Mary's could've used more seasoning. I ordered chicken and waffles which was so good ! Had a fun soy syrup to pour on top. The eggs Benedict was good but my friend said it came out cold. The worst part of this place was our waitress was in the bathroom stall and came out and never washed her hands. She might've been on her phone but then why hide in the stall? Overall you decide what is important to you.... Can you deal with a million people for good food ? The choice is yours :) read more

What a breakfast place! When you first walk in the place will light up your morning! The clean look, bright decor, and magical smells of breakfast foods are abound. There is lots of room in this establishment... no reason to be cramped. The parking area is a bit tighter but not to bad. The breakfast selections are innovative, but not weird. Meaning that they push the flavor profiles without just getting silly. The results are wonderful choices filled with awesome flavors for all. The pancakes are light fluffy and delectable all on their own. Add in the fresh fruit, wonderful house made syrup and a little butter and they are just about nirvana. I had the three neat omelet and it was more then I could finish. There was no skimping on the meat here either. Our service was outstanding! Our waitress was always available, friendly and quick to serve. This was a wonderful location to get our day started with. An exceptional meal, in a lovely venue, with top notch service... all at a reasonable cost. I wish this was located near our home... it would become a regular stop for us for sure! read more

This was my first time at Mimosa and while the wait can be long, it's definitely worth it! The service is very fast and friendly once you're finally seated. We started by ordering our kiddos the waffles that came out in a couple minutes. My daughter loved them and they looked freshly made even though they came out so quickly. Since by the time we sat it was past 11pm some of us ordered breakfast and others lunch. Both looked amazing! I got lunch and the chicken sandwich was perfectly spicy and sweet. The chicken was cooked well and very crispy. My husband loved the chicken melt sandwich and said the sauce on it was great. The fries weren't quite my style cause they were really thick and not crunchy so I'll probably get the fruit next time. The lemon blueberry pancake side was amazing and definitely worth a try. The people I was with highly recommend anything with pulled chicken so I'll plan on getting that next time! read more

This is going to be a long review so I'll start with the meal first and you can stop reading whenever you want after that. Hands down this was a fantastic meal for all of us 6 diners. The server was a master multitasker and did it well. The food was served quickly and correctly. I had the Eggs Benedict and can honestly say it was the best I have ever had. The pancakes, sausage, beet salad, hashbrowns, fruit, bacon and anything else we had was done to perfection. Only locally sourced and (I believe) organically grown ingredients are used; the eggs are the deepest color you can imagine, and all the tastes are vibrant. Our only downside was the noise level in the side room where we were seated. Conversation was not always easy. When I say we all cleaned our plates I am not joking. I also had the new Paradox juice which is a wonderful combination of juices; I just wish it came in a bigger glass. Now on to the other wonderful details about this location. I asked a staff if they had outdoor seating and she started a wonderful conversation all about Mimosa and the many things I would only know if she had told me. The outdoor seating is beautiful and on a warm day, with a light wind it would be a very calming place to dine. This location is all handicap accessible. They pride themselves on being special diet considerate; the kitchen is setup with separate areas to avoid cross-contamination. Whether you have allergies, or dietary restrictions of any kind, speak up and they can assure you of your safety. Having been in the restaurant business I can tell you this is very impressive, and I give them high points for this. They are also involved in giving back to the community charitable organizations and have donated many thousands of dollars to those in need. Bravo! And they list all their local sources on the board. If there is a wait for a table you can have a seat at the front bar area and enjoy a mimosa. I want to thank GM Amanda for taking my one question on a ride of all Mimosa has to offer. I am impressed with a business that took so many steps to be inclusive and caring while serving incredibly great tasting food. I cannot recommend Mimosa enough. read more

SERVER: Nicole Nicole was great! She refilled my coffee cup. And, she let me take coffee to go!! I've never heard of such a thing before. It's glorious. Mimosa has an equal need for speed and excellence. You don't wait too long for your food. Everything is fresh out of the kitchen. I mean steaming hot. FOOD: I ordered the following: -Morning Jambalaya -Pancakes -Bacon The morning jambalaya skillet was delicious! It was fresh out of the kitchen. Definitely singed my mouth a few times. The meal is protein packed with chicken, shrimp, and sausages. I got my skillet with the potatoes. The potatoes were well seasoned and had just enough crunch to them. The bacon and pancakes were solid. My bacon was crisp but not burnt. My pancakes were an appropriate size considering they were a side. I was disappointed that I wasn't able to eat everything. But, that only means one thing--LEFTOVERS. I got a nice compostable to-go box. The restaurant is pretty packed so I recommend booking a reservation if your party is greater than 2. 10/10 will come here again. read more

Potatoes were flavorful. I like the size of the pancakes because it is just enough. The syrup is really good because it's lighter and not overly sweet than the traditional darker syrup.
