Had a lovely brunch experience at Waking Daisy in Brookfield! We started with hot mulled cider and cereal milk latte. The hot mulled cider was perfect for the fall weather, and the cereal milk latte was such a unique drink to try! My favorite was definitely the Caramel Apple Daisy Cake! The cake was sooo soft and fluffy, and I absolutely loved the taste of the roasted apples on top, along with the whipped cream and caramelized pecans. Honestly, I've never had a cake quite like this anywhere before! For brunch, we ordered the Early Bird Burrito Cali Style with chicken tinga and Chicken Fried Chicken. The burrito was filling and flavorful, and the crispy chicken with creamy gravy was a great combination. The place had a cute, cozy atmosphere, and we really enjoyed spending our morning here. Definitely a lovely spot for a brunch date, and I'd love to visit again! read more

Andrew was a pleasure from beginning to end! He seated me promptly and provided 10 out of 10 service throughout my meal. I ordered the goat cheese beignets with truffle honey and crispy prosciutto, paired with one poached egg, and everything was outstanding. The table next to me ordered the sweet beignets with whipped cream and berry compote, so we traded a couple and each got to try both the savory and sweet versions. It would be amazing if they offered both on one plate! Once again, Andrew was wonderful, and I cannot wait to return and try more of the menu when I am a little hungrier. read more

A spot everyone should try at least once! This spot is fun for the foodies but also a great staple for those who want a classic meal. My favorite thing about Waking Daisy is that everything on my plate had a unique flavor profile and you can tell a lot of thought was gone into everything (even the green beans)! You know a restaurant is good when you try everything at the table and would order everything again. My only hangup is that the service was lacking. We asked for a side of ranch when our food came out and never got it and we had to go inside to ask for a box and the check because our table was forgotten about. Overall the food here is fantastic and I can't wait to chip away at the menu! read more

10/10 times I would travel the 25 minutes to Brookfield just to get a table pancake... and the seasonal compote on top just adds to the rich Johnny cakes! Service was fast, whole place was super clean, waitresses were on top of things and very nice. I also got a seasonal sandwich with friends- I do wish I would have tried another breakfast option. It was hard for me to find an option that was what I was wanting. Overall, Waking Daisy is such a fun concept and the perfect place to stop for brunch. read more

I really had high hopes for this place. It's in a great location and the menu looked intriguing. Staff was attentive and friendly, which is always a bonus these days! Anodyne coffee was a hard pass as I find it bitter and could not drink it. My dining companion and I decided to try a starter of a daisy cake. It was sour and not edible! Unfortunately, things just went downhill from there when I received a COLD plate of eggs Benedict! The only time I look for cold eggs is when it's egg salad. Well, I gave it a shot, but I will not be back. The only thing I enjoyed were the potatoes. read more

We decided to give Waking Daisy another try after a few months, but unfortunately, the service was just as disappointing. It was early on a Saturday and the restaurant wasn't too busy yet we waited about 15 minutes before being greeted. Other nearby tables were seated after us and already receiving drinks by their server. We sat outside and our table was also crooked, making it tricky with the water carafe. The food was great, but after experiencing poor service twice now, it's hard to overlook. read more

My husband and I went to Waking Daisy for brunch on a Sunday. When we arrived, there were a lot of people in the restaurant but we were able to get a table. I love getting quality ingredients at farm to fork restaurants. I had the biscuits and gravy which came with eggs, mixed greens, and potatoes. My husband got the strawberry French toast. Our food was really good we had a great time. I highly recommend Waking Daisy! read more

We went on a Saturday around noon and didn't have to wait much for a seat. It was very busy but they were turning tables over quickly. We had the Daisy pancake and wow was it good! So fluffy, yet thick, dense and delicious! Can't wait to go back for another. I had the turkey sandwich and my friend had the smash burger. Both were very good! I can't wait to come back for more brunch items! read more

This place was so yum! I had the Mediterranean Harvest Bowl, which was a large portion size and very good. The breakfast potatoes and their classic daisy cakes are both a must have. The cakes were soft, fluffy, and melted, not to mention drenched in syrup. Parking can get a little chaotic when the Corners are busy, but it is only a short walk to the restaurant. The interior is very cute, complete with pink ceilings! Our server was very nice and checked on us often. read more

Trendy breakfast spot with a good mix of food options from savory and sweet to light and lean. The Table Cake was delicious, but will definitely fill you up. I'd recommend getting with 4 or more people to split with. The maple butter sauce and lemon zest paired well. The Crispy Cod Sandwich was good. Cod was flaky with a light crust and it was two smaller pieces versus one large filet. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. read more

Came here a week earlier as part of a Yelp event. I liked it so much that I came back for breakfast and brought a friend. Food: They have an awesome menu with lots to choose from. I had fully intended to get the Norwegian Benedict, which I had sampled at the event, but the thought of having an entire Apple Pecan Daisy Cake to myself was just too hard to say no to. So that's what I ordered. Now I realize that might be more like dessert, but that's a whole other topic. The food came out in short order, and both my Daisy Cake and my friend's Classic Benedict were excellent. Good temperature, spot-on flavors, and generous portions. I had to get a box to take some home. I also ordered a Chai Latte, which they did an excellent job with. Lots of nice foam and a sprinkle of cinnamon on top. Service: We had great service the entire time. We were seated right away, and the waters and menus followed quickly. The place wasn't crowded, so we felt like we could take our time, and that worked out well. The server did a nice job checking in with us: "How's the food?", "Do you need more water?", and "Can I bring you a to-go box?" Friendly and efficient. Thanks, Ari. Atmosphere: This place is well designed. There's lots of bright natural light coming through the windows, and the seating offers plenty of options. The noise level was good (even at the Yelp event when the place was full). It feels both upscale and relaxed. This place checks all the boxes for either breakfast or lunch. I will definitely be returning. read more

Went for the first time this morning for a late breakfast. My first thought was the temperature of the restaurant. Due to the fact that the entrance is near where the tables are there is a lot of drafts in the front of the restaurant. We had to wait longer for a table because we did not want to be cold. When we sat down, the service started out good. The waitress was very attentive. As the meal went on, we were waiting on her to come to our table so we could ask for more creamer, more coffee, etc. The water brought to the table was also not cold. Maybe consider closing a smaller area around the front door? As for the food, three out of the four people had omelettes and they were extremely good! One of them was missing an ingredient ordered, but my friend chose not to say anything. The salad on the side could use a little bit more vinaigrette as it was a bit bland. I ordered the pastrami hash. The presentation was beautiful. The pastrami was a bit fatty, but overall the flavor was good. I think this restaurant has room to improve but simple fixes. read more

Waking Daisy is cute breakfast spot at the Corners in Brookfield that I'm happy to report checked all the boxes this chilly Saturday morning. Seated quickly and cheerfully greeted with a carafe of water, we started our meal with a small pot of Anodyne (my favorite) coffee. As we are avid coffee drinkers, I was concerned about the size of our pot of coffee but our server was quick to replace it with a fresh pot when we needed more. Our server was attentive and friendly from start to finish! I ordered my go to, classic Benedict, with pulled ham and a toasted English muffin. The petite greens were lightly dressed and a delicious side to the crispy potatoes and Benedict. The pulled ham wasn't as salty as I usually like but there was a generous amount of ham and the poached eggs were cooked to perfection. I loved every bite of my breakfast! Overall, Waking Daisy was a great place for breakfast and we're already planning to come back to try the famous daisy pancake! read more

This week I visited Waking Daisy for the fourth time this summer. There's a reason for that! This place is excellent! Very bright and cheery decor, friendly staff, and excellent service. My meal this week was wonderful - the BEST Crab-cake Benedict I've ever tasted!! Delicious crab with the correct ratio to breadcrumb, expertly poached eggs, bright green and fresh sautéed spinach on a perfectly toasted English muffin, and a glorious hollandaise sauce that was light and bright with lemon. This was served with delicious, garlicky roasted potatoes and a lovely green salad tossed with a light, citrusy vinaigrette. The coffee is outstanding - served in a carafe to the table which I really appreciate. Waking Daisy is perfect spot for families and brunch with friend or any occasion. Parking is plentiful and close. read more

Waking Daisy had caught my eye from the road and I was excited to try their brunch offerings. I really enjoyed the Chicken & Pancake. The chicken was crispy and flavorful. The pancake was thick and the syrup delicious - not too sweet, just how I like it. This is a standout Milwaukee brunch dish for me! Had a great experience at Waking Daisy this morning. Open since July, they are running very smoothly. The servers are kind and attentive, making sure our table coffee pot was always never empty. This decor is super cute. The checkered green table tops are reminiscent of a neighborhood diner. Clean and bright, they've created an extremely pleasant environment to enjoy a breakfast or brunch. I had the Rita's Classic Combo with thick cut bacon. Eggs were perfectly over hard and the herb potatoes were a tasty addition to the plate. In my opinion, the only thing that needs improving is the cook of the bacon and the coffee pots on the table. I prefer my bacon crispier than how it was cooked and the coffee pots are far too small to have them on the table. They barely fill 2 cups on the table. These aren't enough to keep me away. I'll be back for sure read more

Ordered the Korean breakfast bowl and it hit the savory spot I was looking for. The egg was perfectly runny and meant to be mixed into the rice and pickled onions. And let's be honest--I've never met a pork belly I didn't like, and this one did not disappoint. Delicious and well balanced. The space is bright and comfortable, and our waitress was friendly and helpful, which was especially appreciated since this was my first visit. 1st time here was for a Yelp event where we got to taste various menu items, and it was so good we came back with my daughter and son in law for brunch. Bright, clean and friendly. Food presentation and taste was amazing. My biscuits and gravy with eggs and potatoes were excellent. My sunny side up eggs were a little runny in the white around the yolk so I would go over easy next time. Others had avocado toast, pastrami sandwich and Korean breakfast bowl, and everyone was very pleased with their selections. Also had fresh squeezed orange juice, honey latte and dirty chai tea, and again, very pleased. Will definitely be back. read more

Ambiance was super cute. Arrived right at 9am, and we didn't have a wait to be seated. Small wait to be acknowledged by server, but overall all staff we interacted with were friendly, knowledgeable, and respectful. Food was great. The table pancake is a must! The Honey Maple Butter Sauce was so good and the pancake was fluffy with just a hint of lemon. Both my husband and I loved our dishes, and we definitely want to come back to try other items! I gave this restaurant an extra star because I liked the vibe inside. It's really cutesy. For the food. I tried the daisy cake and was excited to see what it would be like. I'm glad I tried it but I wasn't very fond of it. It was dense (not a problem) but the flavor was something I don't have to have again. For my meal I had the Korean breakfast bowl. The pork belly was flavorful but everything else fell a flat to me. Not much flavor unfortunately. I was with my mom and she got a pastrami sandwich which was salty for my taste but I will say the portion sizes are good. I'd be open to coming back and trying a couple more items. read more

I have a couple of girlfriends who love to go for brunch. Finding a new place that is as good as Waking Daisy is such a treat! I arrived at the restaurant a few minutes early and got to chat with Michael, who turned out to be the General Manager. He was a delight! So excited about the restaurant the menu! I found out that he is a chef and helped inspire the menu, and contributed recipes for several of the dishes. He also told me that Waking Daisy tries to source their ingredients locally, including their meats. The restaurant was bright and cheery and had comfortable tables and booths. They also have outdoor seating. Michael suggested that we try the Table Pancake, which is their Daisy Cake with Honey Maple Butter Sauce - oh my word! So delicious! We didn't finish it because we all wanted to enjoy our meals. I ordered the biscuits and gravy (because Michael suggested it and because I love biscuits and gravy). It was also delicious! And I would order it again! The eggs were cooked perfectly over easy and served atop nice, tender biscuits, then covered in gravy with pieces of locally sourced sausage. It was served with a salad that was lightly dressed with a citrusy dressing and great potatoes! One of my friends had the grilled cheese - and she's still talking about how great it was! It has homemade tomato jam, caramelized onions, goat cheese, and fontina grilled on sourdough bread. She chose the salad as her side and enjoyed it as well. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. She made sure that we didn't feel rushed to leave after we were done. I also got to meet the bar manager (I wish I could remember his name), he was also excited to be a part of this new restaurant. He told me that the owners also own the Fresh Fin restaurant, which is located right next door to Waking Daisy, and it's also outstanding! We all agreed that we should come back and bring our hubbies. Great job, Michael and crew!!!! read more

Came here with a couple of friends early Sunday morning and were seated promptly with no reservation. The decor is cutesy. It's a floral/picnic theme. Really bright colors that provide a cheerful vibe. Our waitress, Arika Y, was attentive and helpful with recommendations. Onto the food. We ordered the table cake (6/10). Really fluffy and I liked the honey sauce but there was a sharp taste to the pancake that I personally didn't enjoy. My friends had the pastrami hash and chorizo has which they enjoyed. I had the Korean breakfast bowl (8.5/10). It was pretty good but could have had a bit more seasoning on the rice although the pork belly was incredibly tender. Waking daisy seems like a great addition to the area and I'd definitely visit again. read more

First visit to this newly opened breakfast/lunch spot at the Corners, and it won't be the last! We were welcomed in and seated quickly. Our server promptly stopped by. The decor and overall vibe are fun and relaxed. I tried the omelette this time - very good. A few tweaks would have made it awesome - a little seasoning (my friend who had the same agreed) and maybe chopping up those onions a little smaller so they cook a little more thoroughly and don't overwhelm. But it was tasty, the portion size was great, and the potatoes and greens on the side were a nice addition. Can't wait to come back and try another menu item soon - lots of dishes on my "need to try" list, like those signature Daisy cakes! read more

The cutiest breakfast place in the area! Servers are so friendly. One of the best things is that they open at 7! Perfect for a family like us who wake up early haha. It was not busy at all from 7:30 - 9 on the Saturday we went. The food and drinks were served fast. We enjoyed the Daisy Cake w Chicken Katsu and Pastrami Hash as a family (even our picky toddler ate a lot!). The fluffy Daisy Cake w the honey butter sauce was so good! Nice, clean, bright, delicious... a solid MKE breakfast and brunch place. Update: our second visit also happened on an early Sat morning for us. Quiet, bright but very friendly environment. Ok, never having eaten here before, we went out on a limb and gave Waking Daisy a shot. I'll be honest. The entrees were not very good. The inside was really cute, had some good drink options, and the service was great! But the food lacked a lot and when you are paying $20 for breakfast food you expect it to be better than what you can make at home. Pastrami hash, was too salty, the greens on the side were of no addition to flavor or even a normal breakfast side. The Korean bowl should definitely have more than 2 pieces of meat as well. The croissant beignets were the best thing we had. Warm with a good sauce. Overall, I would not come again though unfortunately. read more

Stopped by here during a road trip to Chicago. Our girls loved the little bendy toy they offered (a nice change from crayons and coloring pages). All the food was delicious but the thing I can't stop thinking about is the Daisy table pancake. I need this pancake in my life. It's thick, has a little tang from a slightly fermented dough, and is rich and dense in the best way. I'm pretty sure it's based on the very famous pancake from Golden Diner in NYC. Service was polite and prompt, and our server offered solid recs from the menu. Would love to stop by again on our next trip! read more

OMG. A friend suggested we go to Waking Daisy, one of her favorite places, for brunch today, and wow, am I glad we did! I have never had such a delicious eggs Benedict. I selected the avocado Florentine version, with sautéed spinach, avocado slices, perfectly poached eggs and homemade hollandaise sauce on toasted English muffin halves. It was light and creamy and contrasted perfectly with the crunchy English muffins. Paradise on a plate! Accompanying sides were herbed potatoes - tiny brown-skinned potatoes that were seasoned, baked and then smashed - excellent - and a petite green salad, lightly dressed; a crisp and bright accompaniment. My friend had a veggie omelet with goat cheese (it was huge - our waiter said it contains 4 eggs!) - and with the potatoes, salad and toast, she had a nice portion of food for another meal. Our server was very attentive and pleasant, and the restaurant itself was bright and cheerful with large windows and planters full of - what else - daisies! - to bring a happy and sunny feeling. Even though it was busy, we got seated quickly and never felt rushed to get ordering and get moving. Our server Grayce was so sweet checked in just enough without hovering which is something I have experienced in the past in other places. The food came fairly quickly and was delicious (my avocado toast was perfect, not too salty or overdone). My friends loved their breakfasts too. I really liked that each coffee came with its own little pot, so no waiting around for refills.
