Wildly disappointing. 4 eggs at our table order sunny side up and not a drop of runny yoke to be found. Eggs were destroyed, my potato's in my pastrami hash were uncooked and had an awkward consistency. My wife's steak and eggs seemed okay aside from the eggs. She didn't get a steak knife and my toast was too black to enjoy. Atmosphere seemed nice and the place had a good vibe but not sure I will be back. This is my new favorite late breakfast spot. Cool cocktails. The food is all scratch made and many dishes like their smoked salmon eggs Benedict are classics with an upgrade. Love the creative garnishes like a bit of caviar, some pickled onions judiciously placed, or micro greens. They currently close at 3 but SOON they will be open for dinner on Fri/Sat. I was there for an event and found the staff competent, friendly and getting the job done! Try the braised beef for dinner over mashed potatoes. Better than grandmas. The beignets were similar to puff pastry bites with a delicious blueberry jam. I tried the eggs, pork belly, Benedict, smashburger, and shrimp scampi. Everything was really top notch. My only complaint was the polenta under the shrimp which was quite stodgy over garlicked (is that a word??) and overcooked. At an event shrimp is not the thing to hold as they go rubbery. But if it was cooked to order I would not be afraid to give that another try. Overall exceptional. Give them a go! Prices are a bit on the high side but not bad considering the quality of the food and experience. read more

We had a great time at Waking Daisy! The menu is interesting and varied, the decor is adorable and the staff was extremely friendly. I really loved my iced latte; great quality. The omelette was another highlight with really great breakfast potatoes and thick-cut multigrain toast on the side. The Breakfast Bowl was also fantastic. Just the right kick of spice and the chorizo beets were fantastic. Love that they have a variety of vegetarian options. Our young kids didn't love the pancake as much as they expected because it was complex and for a more refined palette, so if your kids want a plain pancake, maybe go for the french toast instead. I came here on a Sunday - late morning and fully expected for them to have a long wait but thankfully, that wasn't the case. We were greeted right away by the owner and he was fully transparent in saying they were pretty short staffed and the wait would be between 15-20 min. After a short wait, I was seated with a friend and my 4 year old son. Service was great, food was wonderful and I overall had a great experience. My friend got the Korean breakfast bowl, which she loved. I had a customized omelet and my son-a pancake, all wonderful! Highly recommend. read more

Went here for Easter brunch. The food was ok, but was cold, food was forgotten on my plate and it was cramped. I haven't been this disappointed since the season finale of Game of Thrones. We live upstairs at the corners and the kids wanted breakfast in bed. Called 4+ times and was told I was blocked. Weird energy but ok, made the trek downstairs and was greeted by a very angry blonde woman. I was then Accused me of lying and was talked to quite rudely. Thankfully Tai with lovely blue hair was patient and apologetic and we got my over $100 order done. As the blonde Asian woman stormed off, to speak to the owner. He made eye contact with me and shook his head. The only person I will tolerate this type of disrespect from is Pedro Pascal and he would never. FYI I had no problem walking downstairs from the Corners, no problem waiting, was nothing but patient. After the stink face from the owner for no reason I asked poor Tai to cancel my order. Then the blonde woman came up to the register and argued with me about canceling my to go over $100 order. She actually said no. First the good: server was amazing. Very accommodating, attentive, and professional. Ambience was cozy and inviting. Good taste in decor! The scrambled eggs were exceptional! Loved them! The potatoes, addicting! The bacon was spot on. The orange juice, from what my son told me, was really good. The coffee was tasty. The bad: The eggs benedict were very underwhelming. Hardly any hollondaise sauce, and the shredded pork watery leaving the English muffins soggy. I started my meal out with the biscuits and gravy, I took one bite and immediately returned the dish because the biscuits were dense and crumbly -- not good at all. The waitress so kindly swapped out my meal for eggs, bacon, and potatoes. As for their signature pancake: was under cooked though tasty. We were looking for a new place to try. Picked this one because of the yelp reviews. Ye gods. The food is absolutely fantastic. Amazing. The smashed potato fingerlings and the french fries were cooked in beef tallow. I had the eggs Benedict and I was expecting a slice of Canadian bacon but what I got was shredded chunks of ham. Restaurant is bright and cheery, what you'd expect for a breakfast/lunch kind of place. Server was menu knowledgeable and attentive. My wife and I each had a daisy cake for lunch. Cakes are large and fluffy but we found them to be dry in texture. We asked for additional syrup because the amount provided was insufficient to properly moisten the cake. $1 upcharge. Mid. The wait wasn't bad for 2 (30 min on a Sunday around 9:30) they literally opened the day before so for being their second day it was pretty good. Service has room for improvement. The waitress didn't even look at my boyfriend and messed up or drinks. Also her cadence was off for ordering (we felt a bit rushed). I also noticed the table next to us got their food first. She was really nice which is a plus, but sometimes slowing down is the best option and I think that was the case with her. Chicken & pancake has like no flavor. The gochugong on top is more like applesauce and is surprisingly lacking flavor as well. The daisy cake just doesn't hold up and you can't even taste it. If I were them I'd scrap the idea, it just doesn't work. Chicken was juicy tho! The peaches and creme French toast was fine but the custard was nowhere to be seen, the peaches weren't fresh but that's okay, more of a chunky jam vibe. But the highlight was the coffee 100%. THE BEST LATTE IVE EVER HAD AT A RESTAURANT (oatmilk vanilla latte with an extra shot). I hope they allow for you to get one just to go because it was amazing. Mimosa was also great. My boyfriend got the drip coffee and he got like 5 cups from it so the value is there. So I went to walking daisy today before work. They are new so they are not set up yet for to go orders BUT the wonderful man (I think he maybe the owner) said hey let do it and see. I ordered the BELT sandwich with the potatoes and herbs for the side. I also wanted a daisy cake to on the side. OMG!!!!! Amazing and that sauce for the daisy cake blew my mind. Wow..... one cake was enough me trust BUT I could have bathed in that sauce. Great job and my to go order was packed perfectly!
