I have been here several times and overall really like Mimosa compared to other breakfast places. Their food is fresh, and the staff is nice (the hostess let me borrow an umbrella when it was raining so that I could walk my mother to the car). Their eggs benedict is my favourite and the fact that they have a great choice of foods that are gluten-free and vegan is great for some of my family members who are on eating restrictions. If you are visiting or just in the area you cannot go wrong with checking out Mimosa's. My only two things are that I wish they carried Spinach. For breakfast/brunch place not carry Spinach (who doesn't love omelets with Spinach and Feta cheese?) and the other would be smoked Salmon for their eggs benedict. I've been to Mimosa three times now and my experience has always been mediocre. Everyone raves about this place, but apart from the cute decor, it's not that appealing. The three dishes I've tried are the fresh fruit blintzes, the churro French toast, and the Belgian waffle with berries. Though the blintzes were absolutely gorgeous looking, the cream filling mentioned in the menu description tasted more like Greek yogurt than anything. The crepes themselves were nice, but the filling was way too overpowering. The churro French toast was pretty good. The corn flakes added a nice crunch, but it wasn't very cinnamon-y. I expected this dish to be a lot sweeter than it was. Unfortunately, I had to douse the French toast in maple syrup to make it actually taste better. The Belgian waffle was pretty good, but not really worth the price. It was golden brown on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Nonetheless, I wasn't really impressed with it because it's pretty difficult to mess up a waffle. The last time I visited, the other member in my party ordered the apple cinnamon French toast. She said the apple topping was good, but the smoked pecans were a little too smoked (read: totally burnt). I tried them myself and the nuts tasted like a campfire. The best part of my meal has always been the orange juice. Like they mention in their list of guarantees, the orange juice is always freshly squeezed with no sugar added. If it wasn't so pricey, I'd drink like four glasses of that stuff. Each time I've gone to Mimosa (once on a weekend and twice on weekdays), there has always been a bit of a wait. If you're going to dine here, I would 100% recommend adding your name to the online waitlist. There is plenty of parking outside and lots of seating inside. However, it is really loud in the restaurant. Would I recommend going to Mimosa? Probably not. I'm sure there are plenty of other great brunch places out there. A friend and I went to Mimosa on a Wednesday recently. She had been there previously; this was my first visit. While the restaurant was not particularly busy, for some reason we were seated in a room all by ourselves, which did make for easy conversation but not very good service. There wasn't much atmosphere; perhaps the main dining room was more appealing. I ordered the Classic Benedict with fruit. The melon was rock hard; the other fruit pieces were ok. The Benedict itself was average; I've had far better ones at other restaurants. My friend had the Mimosa salad, and the part she enjoyed the most - smoked pecans. She had asked for dressing on the side and the server forgot to bring it, and promised to get it right away, along with my coffee. Neither item materialized for over 10 minutes and no reason nor apology were offered. While I'm glad Mimosa seems to have many happy clients, we are not among them, based on our experience. read more

I've been to Mimosa twice now - once with a large group of girls and once with my boyfriend. Both experiences were just ok...this place is always extremely busy. I knew from my first time here that the wait is always very long for brunch, so we decided to go at 9am on Saturday before the brunch crowd really got going. We showed up and put our name on the list...we were told the wait was 10-15 minutes. We sat down and waited as more and more people rolled in. As we were waiting we noticed that most of the people that came after us were immediately seated or seated before us. We checked the app and our name had been pushed to the bottom. We were a little frustrated then, and went to the hostess to inquire. The hostess did seat us next and blamed it on the system, so that was great but it was annoying to be overlooked. Once we were seated it took a long while to even be acknowledged by a waiter/be given water. They were packed so I can understand some of the slower service but wish we would have been acknowledged at least. Once our waiter finally came we placed our order and the food came out at lightning speed. We got the classic breakfast and the Mediterranean omelet. The food was solid - breakfast potatoes here are a must! My boyfriend really enjoyed the fresh jams and the omelet. Overall food was great, service was ok. I would go back if I was in Brookfield or if others wanted to go, but I do think there are comparable places in the area with better service. read more

Good brunch spot with the ability to make reservations ahead of time online to avoid long waits. The food was really good and I enjoyed the Mimosa potatoes that came with my omelet. The server only took our order and we never saw her again. A different person brought our drinks and we sat for quite a while until someone came to get us to go boxes and the check. I stopped here for a late breakfast before before going to the Majestic movie theater for an early movie because it was close and it was a bookmark. The place is on the top of a hill with plenty of parking that slopes down to the street. The place is nicely done with like a modern country charm and a nice bar as you walk in. This place runs like a well oiled machine with my breakfast experience because you are seated, menued, watered with a carafe. You place your order and it came very fast and any used/done plate is promptly taken away as you are eating. The carafe of water comes with a tin cup filled to the top with ice which is nice. The breakfast menu has plenty of options but when I saw jumbo sausage links I knew that I was getting the double egg classic with the jumbo sauce links that I like so much. My breakfast came fast and looked good with two eggs, fried potatoes, jumbo sausage links and sourdough toast. The sourdough toast was one of the better breads because it was dense with that nice chew, most places offer the crap sourdough so it was very nice to get the real deal sourdough toast. The jumbo sausage links were very good and somewhat lean and not greasy which is why I like them so much. The fried potatoes were also good because the were cooked golden with a nice ratio of crispy vs soft potato. The eggs were cooked perfect sunny side up and when make a toast sandwich with the egg, jumbo sausage link and great sourdough toast it just makes for a great breakfast. I made a reservation for 9am on a Sunday morning because I was seeing a late morning movie out that way. Even though there were people already sitting down and eating at that point, the restaurant wasn't packed and there was nobody waiting ahead of me to check in. Seems like a good time to get there because when I left 30 minutes later there was a considerable line. For my breakfast I ordered the Chicken Chicken Chorizo and Eggs with Mimosa potatoes (diced and fried) and pancakes instead of toast. I asked for my eggs to be scrambled with cheddar cheese on top. Even without syrup the pancakes were more on the sweet side than pancakes from elsewhere. They sort of had a spongy consistency when I was eating them, so I would probably get toast instead next time. The eggs were nothing special, even with cheese added. There were two stars of my meal. First, the Mimosa potatoes were great. I don't know if there was anything more than just a simple frying done to them and I didn't specifically taste any sort of seasonings, but I thought enjoyed them. I love the fact that all staff assist the tables so if you need something you don't have to wait for one person. We visit this location several times a month and experience the same level of service. We love Mimosa in Franklin and were super excited for their second location in Brookfield. It was really busy but that is to be expected. You can call ahead and add your name to the waitlist. Front of house staff is always friendly and want to do the best. This place is really large and I didn't feel we waited our full 40 minutes. It's always packed and the reviews are good so we went in with high expectations. Unfortunately, our high expectations were misplaced. The atmosphere is dull and reminiscent of a retirement home cafeteria. The food was much the same. Half way through eating my breakfast burrito (one of the monthly specials) I actually realized that I couldn't taste anything. It was hot and "textured" but the ingredients within the burrito were so bland that I actually felt like my tongue had gone numb. The breakfast potatoes are very much the same. Bland, lifeless, and mushy. My final note is the drink menu. In Wisconsin I would strongly suggest you put an old fashioned on the drink list and drop 1 or 2 of the 6 different versions of mimosas. read more

We were having trouble picking drinks so we got mimosas, bloodies, and coffee. All were great! The bacon in the bloodies was so good we ordered more. We ordered the Pollo Picante Omelette and Chicken Souvla Skillet with a side of pancakes. The omelette was delicious. Very tender and creamy, topped with a spicy chicken. The potatoes were wonderfully crispy and flavorful. The skillet was equally delicious. Those yummy potatoes and with pulled chicken, feta, and a yogurt avocado sauce. It was fantastic! There were so many other things I want to try on their menu. Next time I'm definitely getting one of their eggs Benedict's, or the chicken and waffles or the corned beef hash. Service was great. They take a team approach which was very effective. Everyone was helpful and prompt. The staff we could see were all masked and tables were spaced out. Booths have high walls too. Finally got to check out Mimosa! Dined here on Sunday and it was wonderful! Their staff is taking great precautions during Covid. They have assigned certain staff to do various tasks through your meal service; ie: drink orders, food orders, food runner, etc. I actually felt relaxed for the first time in a while inside of a restaurant during the pandemic. The food was fresh and delicious! You didn't feel waited down after eating either. The potatoes were amazing and the Greek avocado sauce is delish--order a side for your meal! This place was really great. We did the carry out-make your brunch at home option. We chose the almberry chocolate pancakes and garden omelette. Similar to the green chef options, they give you all the ingredients and instructions. They were very easy to make and absolutely delicious! In the time of COVID we have to get creative with brunch. What better way to still enjoy great restaurant food and still get some Good quality family time in! Beware, you will want to dress up a a chef and show off your skills.. at least I did. Why are your locations only in Brookfield and Franklin? I feel like Veruca Salt wanting my own location in Milwaukee. If you eat here you will want a Mimosa right next to your house. The menu takes brunch on a new spin with a few different Benedict combinations and lots of other twists on traditional favorites. I had the Mimosa salad with the pulled chicken and it was fabulous. The greens were crisp along with homemade dressing. If you don't make your dressing from scratch it's like putting bagged crappy croutons on a salad. I had to taste test my friend's Crepes Ganache which were incredible. I was expecting a sugar bomb but was not too sweet. The sea salt was a great addition and contrast to the chocolate. Everything looked incredible on the menu so next time I will branch out to something different. Service was incredible and the prices were reasonable for the quality of food. The menu was so extensive, I can definitely see myself coming back over and over to try a new dish (skillets, Benedict's, different flavored potatoes, classic egg dishes, oats and yogurts, salads, sandwiches, AND MORE OMELETTES). I got the Pollo Picante omelette with pancakes and my partner got the Mile High omelette with sourdough toast and BOY, the omelettes and the carbs on the side were DELICIOUS and GINORMOUS.
