I had my first visit to Two Brothers today. I expected it to be a pub, and I was delighted to learn it was a diner, with counter seating, tables, and booths! One side of the menu lists breakfast items, and the other side lists lunch items. I ordered the Farmers Skillet with ham, bacon, sausage, tomatoes, bell peppers, onions, and canned mushrooms, your choice of eggs, and topped with melted American cheese. I asked for no cheese, so you won't see it in my photo. The dish also comes with choice of white, wheat, rye, or sourdough bread. I assumed fresh mushrooms would be used, but I was wrong. I don't like the rubbery texture of canned mushrooms, but I know others like them. Consider this a heads-up. Also, note that their corned beef hash comes from a can. I asked because I almost ordered it. My sourdough toast was good, as expected. My gf ordered the Country Fried Steak with eggs & hashbrowns, and she enjoyed it. The service was great, as was the "diner" ambiance. I think this is a great spot for breakfast, and I would come back again. I'd like to try their lunch menu, too. read more

I don't know what happened to this affordable dive breakfast restaurant because todays chili cheese omelette with toast and hash browns was $21 and change, see my receipt. This price point is aligned with all the pop up pancake restaurants and all the heavy hitters for breakfast so it's not worth driving to any more. My favorite reasonable breakfast place is no more so I should just save the drive and go to the pancake places. When the dive breakfast restaurant is priced at nicer breakfast restaurants price point its not worth the drive any more so good by old friend. A $21 omelette can be found at nicer restaurants in town. read more

This is my new favorite diner. Forgot the "dive" moniker - this is a mom and pop small family place with lots of heart and amazing service. I had the corned beef hash special with poached eggs, home made hash browns, rye toast and a bottomless cup of coffee. I have never experienced perfectly poached eggs anywhere. What a treat. Two brothers with my cousins. So, let me get into it! The food at two brothers is very diner like from back in the 90's. It was okay defiantly a breakfast kind of meal for sure! The service was amazing! Our waitress checked in often and also waters and coffees filled up. Mediocre food, nothing special. The menus were filthy withy sticky old food stains. The waitress was pleasant but very busy. An older man (possibly an owner) was cleaning the tables and was very gracious. The booths are very old and need to be replaced. It was very busy so I believe it's popular but I'm not sure I'd make a special trip to go back. read more

This morning my husband ordered the chili cheese omelette on novelty sake, but he says it was "pretty darn good" lol Our waitress was super friendly and on top of our refills . If my dad was still alive he'd love Two Brothers. Imagine a small town Wisconsin diner where it's 90% regulars, but in the middle of a West Allis industrial park. Everything is well worn, but clean and the prices are pretty cheap. Coffee is served in thick ceramic diner mugs and sugar cones in one of those giant containers with the little flap for pouring. We saw Steven T's good reviews and decided a dive breakfast would be a good call before an early AM stop at Menards. It's a small place, and the staff is super friendly. Except a basic, well made American breakfast and stay away from anything that sounds remotely fancy. You can get an Italian sausage pizza omelette, but should you? The mister had a veal cutlet (schnitzel essentially) served with eggs, nice crisp hash browns and toast. He was a big fan and declared that adding gravy to eggs is underrated. I had a breakfast plate that netted me perfect over medium eggs, sausage and 2 wedges of French toast. I think my toast could have been griddled a little longer but all in all, it was really good. If you're looking for a solid, basic breakfast that won't break the bank it's worth checking out. read more

It's a solid diner so don't expect much beyond a diner. However, as these old school places become less and less I do cherish them. The prices are reasonable and the food is solid. Service was a little slow but places are short staffed and I was not in a hurry. I got the chicken noodle soup and I LOVE tons of noodles and that was the case. Also got the burger which was okay but the bun was so much bigger than the burger I had to laugh. I did the proper "de-bunning" and moved on from there. It's a nice throwback and if I'm in the area again I will get the Monte Cristo and see where that lands. read more

A cheerful clientele familiar with each other, was engrossed in friendly conversation while eating copious helpings of "real food", tasty with no frills, down home style. It was my first visit, noonish, and I went for the breakfast menu -- specifically the egg, sausage, bacon, melted cheeese, and fried potatoes "skillet" with a buttered and grilled hard roll in place of toast --and bottomless coffee. Let's just say that hours later, around dinner time at home, all I needed was a salad and some cottage cheese for supper. Outstanding. There are times you really want to go back in time for old school in today's hip, trendy or fast food world. You have arrived at the diner where the owner sits in the corner overseeing the happenings, greets regulars by name and pitches in to help if needed. Decided to give this place a go.... not a fancy dancy place for sure nestled basically in an industrial area. What a pleasant surprise, great value on prices and food was huge portions. I had the spinach omelette which came with a generous portion of fries. The waitress was very friendly and accommodating to my grandchildren even though it was very busy and the place was full. Never again. I am almost certain that the French toast came out of the freezer. Half an order ("2 pieces") was literally one piece cut in half. The omelet was bland. The veggies inside the omelet didn't have any taste. The cheese addition for $1 was kraft singles put on top of the omelet. No amount of salt or pepper or ketchup could make the hash browns edible. The biscuits and gravy were fine. Best of the items we ordered. On top of the food being awful, the restaurant was filthy. The booths were old and falling apart. The bathrooms were nasty. This is a good spot for quick and easy breakfast without all the extra stuff. It's small, hidden away (it looks like a house and it's not on a main street so it would be easy to miss it), and the food is good. We were seated at the counter right away and our server was very attentive and answered all of our questions. I had country fried steak, hash browns, scrambled eggs, and toast for $9.95. My girlfriend had a dish with hash browns, vegetables, eggs, and cheese with pancakes for less that $9. Their pancakes are perfect! If you need a quick breakfast (especially in a big group) this is a good spot for simple food that tastes good. read more

Decided to stop in & try it, We were not disappointed. The soup was delicious and homemade.I wanted the hot turkey but the didn't have turkey gravy so I decided on the hot beef instead. My husband, 6 year old, and I came here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. The restaurant was fairly busy. We were seated and given coffee and water right away. Our food came within 8 -10 minutes. I had 1 egg over easy, hash browns and ham, and my husband had a Denver omelette. He liked the Denver omelette, "very cheesy." My food was good/ok. The ham was that water pressed ham, and the hash browns were crispy on the outside. For food, I'd give it a 3 star, but the reason I gave it a 4-star was the service. It was great. Have been here several times before for okay breakfast. Not fancy, but fast. Will never return. As my husband and I were eating, I saw a roach crawling up the wall by our table. As soon as I saw that one, two more followed. I got up and left the table and went outside, I seriously thought I was going to throw up. My husband went up to tell the owner.
