ALL is forgiven. Today I went to Sweet Rea and was given a five star breakfast. The chicken fried steak was fork tender, the hash browns cooked perfectly, the eggs cooked perfectly and the toast was just right. Quite a change from my last experience. The restaurant was clean, the service was great and the staff were . Thank you for today. I will return again and again

Good portions, good food and great staff. Another place we had wished we would have found years ago. Our group had a mixtures of brisket salad, some burgers and french dip and all were excellent. Coleslaw does have those dried cranberry raisin things in it. That could be good for some people or shocking to others so I wanted to call that out. All the sides were good, another thing i judge a place on. You got to have good sides to go along with the mains.

Wow! We were looking for someplace to grab a quick breakfast before heading north. My wife did a quick search on Yelp and came across this place We checked out their menu online. The breakfast menu includes plates, skillets, omelets, biscuits and gravy and burritos. The meat options include: bacon, sausage, pulled pork, Tri-tip, chorizo, brisket, ham pork chops and country fried steak. We did not even check out the rest of the menu. We decided to get breakfast burritos. We made a quick call to make sure they were open on Christmas eve, and they were. All breakfast burritos come with egg, cheese, hash browns, onions and peppers. My wife chose the BMP (bacon, mushroom, pepperjack) and I chose the Wilber (pulled pork and Carolina mustard) We arrived and walked inside. There were a few others, placing oders or picking up to-go orders. The place itself is simple and nothing fancy but appeared clean. There were a few tables inside and what appeared to be an outdoor seating area. When it was our turn, we approached the counter and our order was already bagged up and ready to go with the extra salsa we asked for. We opened the bag when we got the car and were surprised how big the burritos were. We each took a few bites and thought they were very tasty. The Wilber had a lot of pulled pork and the Carolina mustard was not over powering. I was really impressed with the taste. My wife said the BMP burrito was amazing as well. It was packed with lots of goodies and they weighed a ton. Would definitely recommend and go back when in the area.

One of the best mushroom and Swiss burgers I've had. Loved the style of bun you use (ie way better than a regular hamburger bun)!

Ribs were way over cooked and tough. They were little in size and very dry. First timer and we'll be the last.

Glorified fast foods. There are much better places in town for breakfast for the price they charge for counter service.

Once we were seated it took about 15 minutes before we were waited on but that was because it was so busy. I was told 5:30 is a better time as it's not as crowded. You're served complimentary hot rolls topped with flaky salt and creamery herb butter which were delicious. The food was excellent. Photos posted of everything we ordered. Beautiful view of the Rogue River so I would recommend sitting outside. Great 5 Star Restaurant in Grants Pass that is a delight for visitors or if you're celebrating a special occasion.

We had started…read morewith salads (caesar) and they were well portioned and dressed with what seemed like homemade dressing which is a big plus. We had the Pork osso bucco which was delicious. very flavorful and came with a side of mashed potatoes and little gourmet carrots. it was finished in a light sauce that paired well with the tenderness of the pork. We also had the steelhead which was surrounded by a cream sauce filled with leeks and mushrooms. the seafood was atop two wedges of polenta, a very nice add that allowed you to soak up the sauce. We did not have reservations as it was late on a Thursday night. But, we had to wait close to 30 minutes to be seated. The hostess was nice and seated us with our dog on the patio. the place was still full at 7:30 at night. they have a musical group playing in the background which was also additive to the ambiance. The one negative was our service. Not very personable, we sat for another 20 minutes before anyone came to our table. No water, no explanation for the delay and no apologies for the long wait. Service improved after the place started to die down, but not a great start to the meal especially after waiting so long at the front.

Just got back from an early weekday dinner at Jimmy's -- great time to go!…read moreWe've been wanting to check this out for a while now since the new ownership came in earlier this year, and we weren't disappointed! Super friendly and accomodating service, with the whole outdoor dining area now spanking clean, with hanging pots of flowers, too. The food was also great! Hubby had one of Jimmy's classic burgers, and I had a Nathan's hot dog with all of the condiments. With the latter, our server graciously cut the dog into thirds because I knew I wouldn't be able to eat the entire dog. Also, the quality of the meat could be tasted in both orders. We also shared a milkshake-of-the-month--blueberry, from a local farm--and hubby added an order of onion rings. I tried the pickle fries a few weeks ago and they were flavorful, perfectly fried, and not greasy at all. The only reason I've given Jimmy's four stars instead of five is that I'd LOVE to have my hot dog bun warmed, just like it's done in NYC and Chicago. The bun wasn't cold, but room temperature. Hopefully this is an easy fix and is doable. However, we will DEFINITELY be back! :)

My wife ordered the Grilled Chicken Salad (and she…read moreloved it), and I ordered the Wild Thing Burger (beef patty & Pastrami w/cheese) I docked Jimmy's one star, because I specified on my order "no tomatoes please"....while I like salsas, Pasta sauces, etc; I detest raw tomatoes on a sandwich or burger. Was so Famished I didn't bother to check when I bit into the burger...and yup, there were two tomato slices. I. removed them, and said nothing besides showing my wife the discarded things in my tray. She let one of the staff know who asked how everything was, and he was very apologetic. All that being said, Jimmy's does in fact deliver a high-quality product. And my burger could only have been better had it not tomato juice and seeds on it that were in fact taste-detected. As always, the place was immaculately clean, and the staff great.

Stumbled upon this spot while wandering around after checking into the hotel next door…read more We grabbed a beer from the bar and settled onto one of the patios to take in the scenery. Ended up striking up a conversation with one of the employees, Blade, who was fantastic. We mentioned how much we admired the potted floral arrangements lining the patio, every detail felt so intentional and looked absolutely beautiful. Blade gave credit to one of the owners, Elvie Cartwright. Well Elvie, if you see this: you have an incredible green thumb and an artist's eye for beauty. Kudos. And excellent call on hiring wonderful staff like Blade.

As someone with a Soy allergy, I had a pretty disappointing and dangerous experience. After lots of…read moreback and forth communication between our waiter and kitchen staff, I was informed that they use soy oil on the entire flat top so anything cooked there wouldn't be safe for me. Unfortunate to say the least as this is my first experience with that at a restaurant. I then asked if any salad would be safe for me. He went back to the kitchen again and returned to inform me that the kitchen said the Caesar Salad, with the exception of the croutons, would be soy free. When our food arrived, my salad had croutons on it. We waved down a different waiter who apologized and took it back right away for a replacement - she was lovely. When our original waiter came to check on us, he asked us if my salad "looked safe" and chuckled. Granted, all I was eating now was a bowl of lettuce, dressing, and cheese as it was my only option. I informed him the first salad had croutons on it, which his response was something along the lines of "Haha Oh, yeah I didn't write it down without croutons. My bad." As someone with an allergy, I didn't feel like I was safe to eat anything here. The waiters attitude was not only dismissive and disrespectful, but allergies not being taken seriously is dangerous and playing with someone's wellbeing. Hopefully they'll do better in the future so others with allergies can experience a safe and enjoyable meal. In the meantime, if you have any allergies you will find better service, safety, and food options elsewhere.
