Cod sandwich with poblano soup

We did a meet up in Grants Pass. Loads of fun. We needed to get some food and stopped at the twisted cork. Very cute inside, It was relaxed it has a bistro feel. Our server was terrific. Very personable and engaging and also give us enough time to visit with each other. The menu is really nice lots of depending on your appetite And of course it goes without saying they have a terrific wine selection. I was very pleased with my food. I had the Cod sandwich with poblano soup. The soup was delicious, the sandwiches very good too. We had a flatbread as an appetizer and everyone seems to really enjoy that. One person at our table wasn't real thrilled with their selection, but they never said anything to the server I looked at the other foods as they were being served, and they all looked really tasty I would come back 4.26

We had dinner at The Twisted Cork. I always check Yelp before going to a new place to make sure reviews are in line with my likes. The place is in what I think is the downtown area and has a sign outside with a couple small tables & chairs. The only thing I saw I was interested in was the cioppino. I was concerned and asked how strong the fennel was in the fennel tomato broth. The server said not strong so I ordered it. We also got a Caesar salad which was good-though more dressing than I would like. The soup was in a good sized bowl and had a good amount of seafood. The broth, I felt, was so different than the norm that maybe it should be called Tomato Fennel Seafood Stew. I didn't care for the broth but ate some of the seafood. It was not my favorite. Ambiance is nice. Service was good. Just like any restaurant, you may not like everything they do and have to find your fav. It was just not to my taste this time.

Seared scallops with rice pilaf and butternut squash

Had the absolutely best dinner at The Twisted Cork. Service was impeccable and the food was heavenly. Our waitress was all over it. Not one single mistake and everything was exactly as ordered. She even had a great sense of humor and absolutely take their recommendation for dessert of the sticky toffee pudding. We started with 2 orders of crab cakes for 4 people. Each order only comes with 2, size is 2-3 inches in diameter. Could have eaten both by myself. The buerre blanc sauce was mouth watering. Entrees included a chicken and shrimp Alfredo, the scallops and a PERFECTLY cooked rare NY steak with chili butter that you'll want to put on everything. The dinner side portions of house salad and caesar are just the right size to start your night with as well. Very good dressings. We ended the night we the apple pie cheesecake, vanilla bean creme brulee and the sticky toffee pudding. We ate EVERY bite. Go here and support. While yes previous comments are accurate in the age of most patrons, I was very happy here with food and ambiance in my mid 30s. I would recommend this place for all birthdays or anniversaries or special events.

Food is incredible. The ribeye was cooked to perfection! Just wow! And the encrusted halibut- so good!

The best entree I had while on a 9 day trip down the Oregon/Northern California coast(s). Macadamia Nut Crusted Halibut was out of this world. Must stop if you are staying near Grants Pass.

This review is long over due! We came to this restaurant while on a road trip through Oregon, and I can say without a doubt this was the place we ate at on the trip! Our friend who is a local brought us and had only great things to say about it, and she was absolutely right! We ordered the crab cakes, poblano soup, burger, and the macadamia crusted fish. (Sorry we were too excited and ate everything without pictures!) Everything was fresh and well seasoned. My fish was cooked to perfection and was in a lovely sauce that I ate as if it was a soup! Non left behind. We also ordered the seasonal dessert which was a peach cheesecake. I was obsessed with it! It was like a peach cobbler pie and a New York cheesecake had a baby! The warm sticky toffee pudding was highly recommend by our friend she said it's the best! So I guess we'll just have to come back to try it! The owner stopped by our table and had a lovely conversation with us. He was extremely kind and charismatic. You can see why he has so many regulars! If you're visiting grants pass I highly recommend stopping by, the staff were extremely friendly, the restaurant was clean and cute, and the food was fresh and delicious.

I see that it says not good for kids so does that mean no kids allowed period? Asking because I have a teenage brother who would love the food!

We had the two specials: my wife had the rib eye steak and I had the cioppino. The steak was served with a blue cheese butter, asparagus and mashed potatoes. The steak was so tender you could cut it with a fork. Truly delicious. I like to think of myself as a cioppino snob as it is one of my favorite meals and I've had it at restaurants all over the world. I must say Carson's recipe is superb. His broth has subtle flavors of tarragon and fennel. He adds sole, blue crab and shrimp for the protein. It's truly outstanding and one the best I've had. Jolie is not only the hostess, but also the waitress and pastry chef. She's charming and really fun to talk to. She let us sample some of the full-bodied red wines as well as a nice Petite Syrah. She also enticed us to try her peanut butter shortbread dessert. It melted in your mouth. The restaurant decor is charming and cozy. It makes for a very intimate setting and Jolie and Carson makes it feel like your having dinner with good friends. Still the best restaurant in Grants Pass. Apparently, Carson makes Osso Buco, which is another one of my favorites. I will be sure to come back to try it.

There's a cool wood-fired oven for pizza, which was a fun process to watch. I ordered the patty melt, which is something I never order, but I was in a rush to decide & did one of those, "I'll have what he's having" things when my husband ordered his patty melt. We're big seltzer water people, so when we went to order a seltzer and the lady told us it was free and self-serve, I was elated. The food didn't take very long & it was tasty looking! The sandwich was cut in half with smashed burger meat overflowing past the bread. It was glorious. The part of the plate that wasn't dominated by melty goodness was filled with with well-seasoned and crisp homemade fries. I could smell how delicious everything was the moment the moment the plate was set down in front of me. Flavor & texture of all the things exceeded expectations. The patty melt had layers of crispy fried onions that made for a lovely and tasty first-bite surprise, & continued to bring joy with each subsequent bite. Every there was incredibly nice and friendly. Dining there was so easy and lovely. Would love to come back the next time we pass through!
