The venue is large with lots of things to do. The kids enjoyed pool, corn hole, foos ball, jumbo jenga, and darts and the adults played "water" pong. There was plenty of seating. I had minimal worry about preparation as Nisha, one of the owners, made sure everything rolled along the way we wanted. The catering was prepared by Juan, the other owner. We had a variety of sliders, bomb mac & cheese and a side salad. They have an assortment of adult beverages, as well as Nisha's custom lavender lemonade on tap, which is rumored to be the best in the Northwest (i agree). Everyone loved the food and ambience. Nisha made sure our slide show worked and was projected in a central location. They have a dance floor, stage, and audio equipment. I really couldn't have had a better experience. Don't worry when you follow the directions on where to park and see no business or signs. They literally meet under the bridge next to the parking lot. The boats will arrive at a small metal dock near the bridge. We finally boarded the boat and the fun began! The captan made sure to offer speed boat thrills on the way to Discovery Park. We were drenched and our backpacks soaked after a few minutes. We were cooled down from the extreme temperatures of 119 that day. Discovery park was surprisingly a strip of land that straddles the rouge river and an enormous pond. The land area is a few acres with a full bar/snack bar, covered tables, gift shop, porta potties, misting coolers, trees for shade, grassy places to set up a picnic blanket, music and more. Of course the main attraction is the huge pond with a floating dock, slide, pedal boats, paddle boards, life vests, etc. We enjoyed 3 hours of water play, snacks, and relaxing in the shade. Overall, the Discovery park is great for families.

They…read moreplay music too loud (often over 105 Db) outside where the sound travels to an estimated 283 acres in a 3/4 mile radius. They also play music past the local ordinance. I have heard bands sing profanity--which is not children friendly. They play music music from 6-10pm (if they stop at the legal time which they sometimes don't) and they play 3 times a week. This adds up to 624 hours a year music can be heard an excess of 3/4 miles away. Why does it have to be so loud?
