Does that look like melted cheese? This is after it reheated when I complained‍

Service was super slow even though there were only a couple other customers. When our food arrived the charcuterie board was missing the cheese! Like how do you not remember to put cheese on a charcuterie board? The nachos were cold. When we said something, the staff had the nerve to act put out and argumentative that we complained. They nachos were "reheated" but as you can see in the photo, the cheese still wasn't even melted...And then they still charged us full price for the food! Ultimately tried to make it up with comping us two more drinks...but they were made really weak, so too little too late. Super unimpressive!

All of the bars and small breweries in the USA this was the finest little town bar with higher quality of most expansive selections of any bar in the world anywhere. The two bartenders were not just outstanding but truly knowledgeable and amazing people with fantastic enthusiasm about their craft. The four different Scotch whisky flights for $19 was a steal. The Red Haired Bar Tender lady was a Michelin Star eligible creator of new cocktail and made special blend called Flannel Shirts that tasted absolutely divine, and the main man who came out of his clocked out status to serve us 14 year old Scotch whisky was very happy just to introduce us all to new Scotch! We loved the experience and the crowd around the best bar in Oregon!

Bitter Sweet Symphony

Very fun vibe, excellent drinks. Our hostess/waitress was really nice and knowledgeable. She recommended the bitter sweet symphony and it was a delicious gin drink and the smoky old fashioned was . Food service was a bit staggered (our table was served their entrees in three different waves (and after prompting)). That being said my salad was large and delicious, as were the churro fries dipped in chocolate. Definitely a spot to visit, especially if you have flexibility with time.

Great nachos. Great drinks. What's not to like.

Great nachos. Could feed 6 for dinner. Love the drinks. Lovely place to hang out. I'll be back soon

Happy Hour (4-6pm): GREEN TEA is Delish!

Wow, what a difference the staffing makes *sadness* We were looking forward to trying out this place again since our last experience was so positive. Completely different staff, completely different experience. Ladies in seemed nice at first. Ordered 2 beverages and some food and everything seemed great! Long story short... our friends non-alcoholic beverage is not allowed inside. Sure no, problemo. We all sat outside to sip our delicious cocktails *expert level for sure* and waited for our food order. Soon after, we witnessed the dark haired bartender have some kind of verbal exchange with the group of ladies at the picnic table outside next to us; they seemed to be chillin' and minding their own business - middle aged professional looking. Not sure what happened, bartender said something about one of them having an open tab, ladies commented that they weren't in a hurry... dark haired bartender seemed to be pressuring them to leave? It was awkward to watch and definitely changed the mood of the space. I don't think it was a racist thing, but it seemed a little extra considering the circumstances. Then the dark haired bartender turned on us and told us that the outside beverage (iced coffee) is "not allowed on the premises". They were nearly done and she insisted he "vacate the premises" (picnic tables on the sidewalk). I asked her how far he needed to stand outside of the sidewalk area to avoid the issue since our food order would be coming soon. She seemed stuck on the idea, so he stood outside of the roped area 2' to the left on the sidewalk while we hurriedly finished our adult beverages *delicious by the way*, we cancelled our food order and went on to the next destination. Wow, what a difference staffing makes. I regret tipping upfront.

I'm in Medford for one night, and got some great food to go from Jefferson Spirits Bar. The staff were really friendly, and took time and care to pack up my food well so that it would transport without spilling. This seams small, but for me it was huge! It's why I'm writing the review. The inside was cozy with a small upstairs area. Wish I could have stayed for a drink!

Juniper Jungle - gin, chambord, pineapple, lime, and simple syrup. Delish!

Cool little spot to hang out and have a drink. Love the interior, great little spots to sit and chill. Everyone recommended the pot stickers and to us they were just meh - they weren't terrible at all but really nothing to rave about. Drinks were delish - had the Juniper Jungle which was really good! Service was decent, friendly.

Downtown location a fave amongst locals. Classy, fun bartenders. Good food. Live music and couches. This place also supports freedom which deserves 5-star attitude.

Amazing cocktail menu.

Great place to just hang out and have a drink or enjoy a brunch. Such a welcoming friendly environment in the heart of Medford OR.

Great vibe!! There was live music while we were here which just put it over the top. Drinks were top notch!! Food was good, but their frier was down so I couldn't get the dumplings that everyone raves about. Will definitely come back next time I'm in town.

It's run by a husband and wife and we had such a lovely conversation with the wife (sor Im not so good at remembering names). Service was so friendly and menu recommendations were spot on! A definite must try is the carrot curry soup - it doesn't disappoint! We also had the Tuna melt and Gerry's grinder sandos. The food was all fresh and delicious. The korean burritto wrap was falling apart and the flavor needed a punch like add a bimbimbap sauce or some kind of korean flavored sauce with some korean chili flavor. The slaw on the side was not great and just tasted like vinegar and paprika. The BLT was on a small fresh roll but was also falling apart and made it hard to eat without making a mess. The bacon had no smokey flavor and the cream cheese was a little too much so changes I would make is stronger bun, bacon with more smokiness, maybe some picked red onion to cut the richness. Anyway we will be back to try the soups they are known for. Service was great and coffee was too. Will update next visit...

I grade a restaurant on numerous parameters (e.g., parking, attitude of host or hostess, waiter or waitress, ambiance, noise vs music, and of course quality and presentation of food and drink, and expense. My rating goes from 0 (absolutely horrible) to 10 (the most incredible dining experiences in my life). I consider any restaurant with a rating 7 or higher worthy of return. I think in Medford, most restaurants rate about a 6-6.5. I rate Tartine at an 8 to perhaps 8.5. 1. Parking fine. 2. Greeting upon entry- Wonderful from host and hostess. 3. Ambiance/Decor: I cannot think of any place with better ambiance and tasteful decor than this. I am speaking of the interior. Just beautifully done. 4. Waitress we had (Angie): would take her home and/or adopt her. What a doll. A sour-puss waitress or waiter can kill a meal. Angie brightened up everything. Good on you, Angie. 5. Food, drink: coffee very good; food excellent. Price reasonable. I only have one negative. I don't need noise in the form of bad music or bad speakers while I am eating and having conversation. IF perhaps the sound was not the thump-thump of an aerobics class and instead it was soft jazz, or soft classic music not intrusive, I would up my grade to a 8.5-9. I will go back and try to find seating far away from any speaker.
