The owner could not be drunk. That would be a great start. It would also be nice to not witness sexual harassment at the hands of the tall male cook. Came to eat here in our first night in Oregon. My aunt was really excited to bring us here due to the live music and the food. We did come while the live music was playing. We had a full hour of it and it was really good! We ordered food and drinks and they were good as well. There was a bit of confusion on one of the meals but it ended up being a great accident. When the live music was over they played music and it was a good selection. The bathroom is out side but only for the restaurant so that is nice. Such a great and fun place to eat read more

We were here on 3/6 with a small group for a going away dinner. My wife and I each ordered the Filet dinner. When it arrived it was a small cut of meat resembling a filet. It was very tough and not the texture of a filet. I honestly believe we were served a different cut of meat for the price of a filet. ($39.00). We did not finish our meal and brought the meat home for our German Shepherd. If you are looking for a filet dinner, there are several places in the area that serve a true and tender filet dinner! We will never return ! I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone! read more

Trying this new joint out on their opening night. It's always fun to try something new in town even though they are in that "grand opening" blur. Tonight we sampled a few of their offerings and had a couple flutes of bubbly Asti. From soups and salads to sandwiches and waffles. And then wash it all down with either a beer or glass of wine. Hopefully as they continue to get things rolling, they will bring in some local wines. So far, all are out of state (go figure). They were also out of the charcuterie plate as their meat delivery hadn't shown up yet. The vibe is nice and intimate with low lighting, polished concrete floors, epoxy wool plank bar etc. While we were sipping out wines, the smell of fresh waffles drifted out over the bar. Love this spot. We went in on a Friday night with 5 ladies. We had to wait about 30 minutes so we found a spot at the bar and orders drinks. They serve cocktails, beer and wine. They had fun mule and martini options. We ordered a few appetizers, they came out quickly and did not disappoint. Stuffed mushrooms, crab cakes, salad, and soups were all delicious. The two ladies working the front of the restaurant were busy but always attentive and very sweet. The chef even came out at the end of our dinner to say hello and help clear our table. Excellant addition to Rogue River! Fun atmosphere, looking forward to outside dining in the future. They have specials on Friday and Saturday nights for dinner. I had the rib eye steak that was savory and cooked perfectly to my liking. Large portion! My husband had the quesadilla with sriracha sauce, a little spicy for him but I liked it. Savanna was so helpful with the menu and beer choices. She accommodated my non alcohol needs with a great Ginger Beer and crushed lime . Very friendly service! Hats off and thumbs up to Monique and River Station ! Wine and Cheese bar that is urban and inviting and comfortable. The tables and chairs are a really comfortable height and shape, and I love their lighting and chandelier and chalkboards. It's the best decorated place in Rogue River- hands down. I ordered potato soup which is made with an aged white cheddar, and it's amazing an only $7 This place also is unpretentious and has a beautiful long grainy wood bar that doesn't feel like a bar. I don't go to bars anymore but this place isn't really a bar even though it's called a wine and cheese bar. They also have live music periodically . UPDATE: Loved this place so much the other day, so I came back with 3 friends on Sunday. There was a musician playing guitar and singing at 12:30. We all wanted soup on a cold rainy day, but they only offer the brunch menu on Sundays. The unique waffle selections were tempting, and will definitely go back to try them. They have one waffle that has thick cut bacon and a poached egg on top served with a jalapeño syrup. Next time! read more

First time trying this place. We both ordered the Oscar style fillet. I have to say it was horrible. The crab was not good and their Bernaise sauce was gross. We each took two bites and couldn't continue. The garlic mashed potatoes were really dry and the vegetables were over cooked and the only flavor to them was super strong garlic. It was very obvious we didn't like the meal and they didn't even ask if it was ok nor did they acknowledge that we didn't eat it! Went out for brunch & was surprised to see they were open on New Years Day so we decided to try this new eatery in Rogue River. The place was pretty much empty, we were greeted by friendly staff, the interior is comfortable, open & welcoming even though it is a fairly small space. My husband ordered the Cuban panini with salad & I ordered the feta BLT with the beer & cheese soup of the day. We both thought the flavor pairings went well, the cheeses were delicious & the bread was tasty & fresh. However, the food was very rich & somewhat salty. I found the portions to be about right for me, but, my husband thought there should've been more pork on his sandwich. Since he was still hungry, we decided to try one of their desserts. The only one available today was a lemon cake with cream & berries that was very nice & the light sweetness helped balance out some of the salty meal. The menu is limited, but we will likely go there again to try some of the other items. Glad to have a new restaurant nearby & hope they do well here. read more

Stopped in here with a buddy of mine on the way back from Grants Pass and decided to check it out for the first time and have a beer. We were greeted upon arrival and were treated very well. Very nice people who run this place. Very clean and newer looking in there as well. Menu also looked pretty good. We each ordered our beer and sat at the bar and had a good time. The time came for us to leave and settle the bill. Much to our surprise the beers were $9 each!! Yes $9!! We are used to paying $5-$7 for a beer. $9 is extremely expensive. As much as we would like to go back, we probably will not due to the beer prices being so high. It is a shame, because it seemed like it could have been a regular spot for us. read more

Came in around 4pm during the week. The server/ bar tender gave us water and then ignored us while she stood behind the bar eating. Wiped her mouth and waddled over. Cheese plate mediocre. I had Margarita Flat Bread. Greasy and cold, the cheese was not melted. Spicy Chinese noodles and shrimp, noodles were spaghetti noodles with little spice. Bathrooms are shared with pizza place. I have been in cleaner gas station bathrooms. We will not go back and would not recommend. Low class place trying to impress with bad food and poor service. read more

The server never came back to see if we were happy with the food. The food had potential but fell short. 2 of us had the ceviche tacos. The salad was brought ahead of the tacos and it was had balsamic dressing. Not the flavor you expect when ordering Mexican. The red onion over powered the salad. The tacos came and presentation was good. The cucumber salsa on top was super spicy and "oniony". I'm a person who loves spice and always orders more spice. The menu should note the spice level, or offer salsa on the side. The onion and spice over powered the shrimp. My son ordered the filet. It was extremely disappointing for the price. The texture was definitely more sirloin than filet. The menu said it was an 8 oz filet but it was more the size of a 4-6 ounce filet. Wine was a descent pour. Overall, was rather disappointed in this place. Nice decor but things went swiftly downhill after that. Seated us a mid-height table who chairs woould have been small for a 5th grader. I am a bigger man and i had to sit on the edge of the seat for the whole meal...very uncomfortable. The beer was tepid, if not downright warm. This ain't Britian! The panini was nicely done on the outside and toasty...the inside was stone cold! I was ravenous or I would have walked out. All in all, not a good experience. read more
