The barbecue chicken salad is amazing and not only did they split it for us, but they also split the bread that came with it. very pleasant. We sat inside, but there was also an outside place to sit. My wife and I loved the burritos so much from the Grants Pass location we stopped at when we were driving North to Oregon, we decided to see if we could get them again as we were driving South to Nevada. We discovered they have four locations, two in Grants Pass and two in the Medford area. Our hotel was pretty close to the South Medford location, so, we decided to stop there before commencing our drive. We could not decide which breakfast burrito we wanted to try next. I asked my wife if she had the one with the sausage gravy and she said no, she had the BMP. I had the Carolina Wilber with pulled pork and Carolina mustard last time and wish it had a little more sauce. We both also want to try to the pork Verde burrito. We even talked about getting one to eat and another one to go for later. We placed our order over the phone. In the end, we just ordered one for each of us. My wife got the BMP again and I decided to try the pork verde burrito. They said the burritos would be ready in about 10 minutes We arrived a short while later to pick up our to-go orders. The place is small with a little inside seating and a few tables outside. We picked up our order and returned to our car to eat. Again, the burritos were huge. We both really enjoyed the taste and had some leftover for later. We will definitely stop at a Sweet Tea express again. We need to check them out for their other options (lunch and dinner) as well. I visited the Medford location at approximately 10:45 am as a DoorDasher to collect an order. I requested to use the restroom, but one of the employees, a larger gentleman, informed me that restroom facilities were reserved for paying customers only. I perceived this decision as discriminatory, particularly given my history as a paying customer and my role in supporting local businesses through delivery services. Furthermore, not only was the guy smirking when telling me I couldn't use the restroom room, I felt like it was more of a racial profile decision of the employee Consequently, I intend to discontinue my services as a Dasher and refrain from patronizing this establishment in the future. It doesn't cost anything to be kind.For that reason alone, im giving it a one-star, very hostile and racist enviroment. read more

Wow what a great place for lunch and southern food we ordered a platter for two and it was huge and delicious the barbecue pulled Pork was the best rated followed by the brisket followed by the ribs but the ribs are a bit sassy saucy for us but still very delicious and we loved the smoky flavor. Only complaint I had was that I would've appreciated the cashier wearing gloves when handling food or at least washing their hands between handlings of cash and food. Several weeks ago I ordered a cheeseburger with side of French fries to go. When I got home I discovered to my disappointment that the majority of the fries were between 1/2" -1" long, looked like they scraped the bottom of the barrel. We showed up 15 minutes before an early closing. They assured me it was fine to order and we sat outside on the picnic benches. We ordered a ton of food and they were quick, the burgers were ENORMOUS, and the BBQ combo platter was delicious. They locked up but kept poking their heads out to make sure we were okay, and when they saw me cleaning up, they ran us out to-go bags. The food is great- but the service was even better. Super appreciated, especially because it's so rude to order food right before a restaurant closes. Don't skip the smoked chicken breast, it was a real winner for us. Meat......yes, the meat.......go for the meat! First, let's be clear: this is NOT my usual choice for breakfast fare. I'm usually hunting up places more "healthy"......but Sweet Tea is gonna get a return visit. I ordered the pork verde omelette. The cheese was of the bagged variety.....but the eggs were well-whipped, fluffy and seasoned. The centerpiece was obvious and unsurprising, considering Sweet Tea's focus......the pork verde. Oh, my......THAT was special! It was beyond fork tender, chunky, stringy, seasoned perfectly! I sampled their various BBQ sauces on it.....and all were good. The "Carolina," in particular, was stellar! I'm a fan. My dish, and my partner's, came with home fries. These were dubbed, by my super picky partner, as: "Bagged French fry niblets, cleverly masquerading as homefries.....though well camouflaged by fresh bell peppers and onions." I liked them. They were completely ungreasy.....and nicely crispy-soft. Fried eggs were properly done. Bacon was AMAZING......that perfect mix of crispy and still soft. Nothing here is gonna scare anyone. Probably, you're gonna love it. A lot of locals seem to. The summary is that this is WAY above the greasy spoon breakfast. It ain't gourmet.....but the meat will probably fool you on that. Medford doesn't have a lot of yummy breakfast options......and this is above the bar. It's not, in any way, "fancy" or pretentious. Honestly, it's a great replacement for the legendary old burger joint it once used to be. Now......the meat. Whoa. I'm seeing some super potential here. My belief is that the breakfast hours are probably about biscuits and gravy......which I will try next time (probably with a side of "amazing pork!") Had the brisket platter, beef was tough it looked like sandwich meat that had been over cooked. My wife had a Patty melt half a slice of bread would have been more than enough. She asked for tomato and got two tiny pieces. Overall not impressed. read more

Went in and ordered the 3 meat meal for 4. Well I am not impressed at all. The smoked brisket was so fatty that a puddle of grease filled the container, the ribs were so so not much flavor, the smoked chicken breast was the toughest chicken I have ever chewed and the only smoke flavor is in the sauce. The coleslaw was flavorless and the beans had so much mustard in them that's all we tasted nothing else. Pretty much a waste of money. Will go to a real bbq place next time read more

Really bad experience. I ordered the tri-tip salad. Old, off smelling, overcooked tri-tip. Honey mustard was not good. My wife ordered the pulled pork sandwich. We ordered for pickup 2 Burritos pulled pork verde. It was loaded with potatoes then egg but very little pulled pork (2-3 bite sized) and did not notice any verde sauce. All of this for $10 per burrito. Sorry, very disappointed. read more

High 3 star! Small little place servin up some tasty food... What I had, the 'Sweet Tea Burger' (w/ bacon)... What I liked, it was a legit sized burger with good toppings... It comes with onion straws, cheese and the rest of the usual fixin's... The bun was a little weird, at first I really liked it... But by the end of the burger it was a dry crumbly mess that couldn't hold up against all the fixin's... All an all, it was an above average burger for the Rogue Valley... The fries were seasoned and pretty average, but the ranch and fry sauce were legit and elevated the fries! This place is known for pretty good barbque from what I've heard, and it smelled and looked like it when we were there (cool train smoker out front pumpin out some good smoke)... Wow. I've been eating hamburgers for about 30 years. I've experienced some of the best, and now, what is categorized as the worst. The "patty" was so thin i could almost see thru it! Unbelievably thin, "1 billion" served thin. Ruined my nice breakfast/ lunch out. I've never gotten anything i didn't like here after coming for some time, now i don't know that I'll be back. My last review was flagged (for sexual content!!! What a joke, i will omit the picture of the hostess in the disgusting shorts this time) originally which tells me i'm onto something. Perhaps eat here at your own risk. The two or three cooks they had in the back went in and out of the back door repeatedly, and left it open which is part of the reason the place is full of flies. Only saw one guy wash his hands the entire time i was waiting on my food,~ 10 minutes Now for the potential health vode violations: There is a 2-3 gallon clear tub full of raw eggs just sitting out next to the range on what looked like an old tv tray. Just sitting out, probably 4 dozen eggs, no refrigeration; nothing. In front of that is a plastic red bowl the cook used to whip up eggs for scrambling; repeatedly. He would whip up eggs for one order, put the bowl back on cart to sit out for who knows how long until next order of scrambled eggs/"omelette" gets made. Ick. No clean bowl for each order, leftover pieces of egg residue sitting out in the bowl with flies all over it. He didn't even bother to use a different utensil to mix them up! This too just stayed in the bowl, next to the big container of raw eggs, both right next to the flat top and range, which btw was on the whole time, so it was hot there. The server would also shift around the orders/dupes on the board and then just go back to cooking after wiping his hands on the front of his apron. The hostess/cashier/server/busser handled money, cards, food, dirty dishes while i was waiting on food, not once washed her hands. I also watched her pull cole slaw or mac or potato salad from the lower reach in, and then scoop it out with her bare hand. Yes, her bare hand. and put it into a to go side cup, then put the lid on it and place it in to go box. She also kept tugging at the rear of her shorts, which is also gross. One guy was eating at the corner table, and just left his dishes; A) bus your own table! and 2) the hostess/cashier/server/busser should probably wash her hands, especially after bussing tables, and then going back to expediting to go orders. Food: Country fried steak and eggs, biscuits and gravy. Steak was all rainbow-ey, was a very thin slice of about 3 ounces, whatever meat this seemed to be; which was way overdone. My sunny side up eggs were way overcooked, and the breading and gravy was bland and salty. The biscuits were decent enough, but again the gravy was bland and salty, with a mealy consistency/mouth feel. The scrambled eggs in the b&g order were not good in the slightest. Knowing what i know now, and that it had some leftover half coagulated egg in it from the last *-infinity orders, it makes sense why. Portions of yolk scramble were grey/green, the curd looked like the beat eggs were poured into the hot pan and left there. No mixing, no folding, no stirring. Flat, tasteless overdone off color scrambled eggs. The "sausage links" included in the b&g were not good. They were cold and pink in the middle with an extremely rubbery consistency. Not good at all My sourdough toast was decent enough, but i couldnt see that being toasted from my vantage point. Oh but the hash browns were decent enough, so there's that. read more
