we went to Sizzler last night hoping for a salad bar mealat just before 5pm on a Saturday, but what we saw made us question ever setting foot back in here. When we entered we saw the salad bar, which runs $18 on its own, was not looking good at all. The meatballs and sauce for the spegetti had been there long enought that it had started to solidify into a gel paste. Then, we went to look at the Nacho bar. The cheese was so dry It was crusty on top. The meat was dry. there were only three chicken wings left out to eat. we were so disgusted with the state of the salad bar and what they were serving to their customers. We decided it wasn't worth our health to Eat there, so we decided to leave. we probably wont be going back. EEEEWWWWW!!!!! NEVER AGAIN!! read more

The food was good except for the chowder tasted like it was thinned down. The service at the register was nice but the dining room gentleman was horrible! Had to find him to order toast. He brought our meal but never returned until the end when he asked if we needed extra plates. We needed a to go box and never received one. Thought I brought my phone in but didn't see it. I reached down between the bench and wall only to find 6" of garbage. Napkins, chicken bones, and spoons are what I felt. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE THIS TIME! The food was excellent, and the cashier provided outstanding service. However, I was very disappointed with the waitress--her name may have been McKayla or Kayla. She offered only the bare minimum and came across as unfriendly and visibly annoyed whenever we asked for anything. This level of service is unacceptable, and I sincerely hope I do not receive her as a server again. The salad bar was ok. The server was great. The lady at the register, not so nice. For $15.99 you get the salad bar, taco bar, Italian bar and desserts. The food was fresh, but I had to wait 10 minutes for the lettuces and spinach to come out. When it finally did the woman was in no hurry as I patiently waited. Lots of options for a nice salad and it appears the dressings are house made. The taco bar consisted of greasy ground beef, refried beans, cheese sauce, cheese, salsa and tortilla chips. I think there were hard taco shells as well. The pasta bar had pasta, sauce, meat balls that I remember. Desserts were soft serve, pudding, Oreo whipped topping, sprinkles and chocolate sauce. There was also fresh melons. My sister got the grilled steak made to order and it tasted charred and was cooked perfectly. Never though I would write a rave review about Sizzler but here I am. Really this is not about the food, it is what it is and meets expectations. I will say the salad bar is great and so are the baked potatoes. I would stay away from spaghetti and wings, also a hit and miss with salad bars. What I have enjoyed here the last two times we have been here taking mother in law out is the staff. They seem to be understaffed and overworked but we have had nothing but good interactions with visiting. Dinning room people are always helpful and I can tell they don't have enough people to keep all the tables cleaned in timely manner and it is not the fault of the crew they are doing their best. We also always show up with a woman with mobility issues and get nothing but grace and patience with her. Its nice that everyone is welcome. read more

I have not been to a sizzler in over 20 years. Seeing this place makes me really miss my grandma who passed away a couple years ago. As a child, she used to take us to the sizzler for a salad bar and if we were really good. We might get some of the fried shrimp. So when I saw that there was a sizzler right next to my hotel, I knew I had to go get dinner. Not realizing that it was Valentine's Day. When I walked in there was about 20 people ahead of me to order food. I was OK with this because I wanted a salad bar to go. So I was willing to wait and get my salad bar. When you get the salad bar, they also give you two smaller containers for the nachos/tacos, the other salads that they have like coleslaw, potato, or macaroni. I loaded up my salad dish, got some of the orange chicken, and was split between potato salad and pasta salad. So I got them both. Took my food and went back to my hotel room for the night. I got so full off of my salad and a few bites of the orange chicken that I was able to have most of my salad left over for lunch the next day. Everything on the salad bar was so fresh that it held up the next day after being in the refrigerator , in about 16 hours before I eat it again. The lettuce was still crunchy and crispy. Next time I go back, since I have been a good girl, I will have to spoil myself with some of the fried shrimp in honor of my grandmother. read more

Today me and my family went to lunch at your restaurant. I was highly disappointed in the service, cleanliness, and overall, the whole dining experience. Starting out we were there 5 minutes early. The restaurant didn't open until 11:10 with a line standing outside. One group of 3 elderly people left at around 11:06 because of them not being open and inability to stand. In we went at 11:10 guest person wasn't very friendly who took our order. We sat down at a dirty table because none that we saw were clean so we picked the cleanest/dirty one we could find. We all three had ordered all you can eat salad bar. The lettuce was brown and wilted; the ranch had this white chunky stuff around the edges from not being wiped down from the night before. The ice cream machine was not working. They didn't have all the food put out they didn't get the clam chowder out until it was almost time for us to leave and us complaining several times about the lack of food availability when it was supposed to be there. When we first got there and sat down at our dirty table our waiter was having a conversation with I'm guessing a spouse or relative since at the end of convo he ended it with an I love you. This wouldn't have been a problem, but we had to wait to get our second set of plates and wasn't brought bread until he was done with his personal in person conversation. Went to use the bathroom one toilet plugged up to the rim and so dirty. The other stall was occupied I let an employee know about the bathroom situation who did nothing. I had to wait 15 minutes to use the bathroom after someone left. I will never eat at this establishment again the service and food sucked. read more

The food quality has been going downhill for the past few years. Every time I go there I say, "I'm never going back." Their food is highly processed. I like the fresh fruit they always have on the salad bar. I think they've gotten way overpriced and the quality of food is still sinking. I had the coleslaw last night and it had such a strange aftertaste. The Texas toast is way too salty. The clam chowder is so, so. We had the garlic mashed potatoes, which didn't even taste like potatoes. They were very bland. The chicken wings on the salad bar are disgusting, always deep fried. Really unhealthy. Ordered salad bar There were 4 chicken wings left They were dried out and Called, I asked a server for more chicken wings he brought them out immediately they were dried out but not cold they must have been sitting in that bowl for at least a 1/2 hour the spaghetti was dry and crisp This is absolutely the worst sizzler I've ever been to Had to find the server and ask for a drink Refills He was very pleasant The place was not busy there was no reason for the salad bar to be empty and it looked like that spaghetti had been there since they Opened, I do not recommend this place and I will never be back read more

Let me first say the waiter is wonderful, thumbs up to him, we came here for lunch and the salad bar was lacking as in food, I had to ask several times if they would be sticking it and was told they would, 35 minutes later we are still here waiting for them to put more food out, what hot food they had was sticking and burnt when asked again they asked well did you ask anyone. I eat here every time I have to travel here for work. I get the steak and lobster every time. The people are great, the food is better than any other sizzler I have been to. I don't know if it's the management, or the cooks, but this is the only sizzler I go to. read more

We ate there Monday night. It is clean but the salad bar is not worth 13.99. The lettuce is okay but the ingredients are as cheap as they can be. I love artichoke hearts but these canned ones are bland. The jello might be the best item. I am sure the dessert is not ice cream. It maybe ice milk but I doubt it. read more

In Grants Pass this is our "go to" place for dinner. The food is some of the better we have had at a Sizzler. When possible my niece and her family drive from Crescent City to join us. As a longtime Sizzlers fan, getting the chance to visit one of the few Sizzlers left in Oregon. The Grants Pass Experience was fantastic. Hostesses we're friendly engaging while taking orders. Haven't seen a Sizzler in years and they're usually rundown sad places. But this is huge and modern and everyone was so nice and generous. Salad bar was fresh, seafood chowder was delicious, and shrimp and steak was tasty. Prices are higher than I remember, but it's still an excellent value. I had the 8 ounce tri-tip with a baked potato and full salad bar. The steak was cooked just like I asked. A tad salty, but otherwise good. I would like a bit less of the heel in my iceberg lettuce. The romaine and the spinach were good, but perhaps someone could take some time to remove a bit of the stems from the spinach (I understand things are tight now with labor, but that should not take too long). One of the best things about the salad bar is I am a bleu cheese dressing guy, and even if the dressing is not up to standards, there is always bleu cheese itself which I can mix in with the dressing for good taste. My server was Jason who was polite and was attentive. Finally I would like to comment on pricing. I saw another review of the prices being too high after the reopening from Covid. People, this is going to be a new norm. People do not want to work for poor wages, so when a company starts paying their employees more to get them to work the prices will go up. Came in at 7pm got the buffet made a salad. Went back up to the buffet table and no soup, 1 1/2 ribs and old mac n cheese scraping the bottom. Told the waitress they were out of food so she left to fix the problem. She came back saying no more ribs we are making chicken nuggets, no soup we're out... I already went to the taco bar for watered down chili and watered down cheese I couldn't eat. Asked the waitress if there was anything here I could eat I payed for all you can eat buffet not all we can scrape up. Can I get a burger? We came here the other day 11-29-11 for lunch and had the burgundy sirloin tips for $9.99 it comes with endless salad bar. I had gotten chicken wings that had just com out and if they had just taken it out 1 to 2 minutes earlier it would have cooked itself to doneness, but they took it out a little late and it was still cooking so it ended up overcooking and became hard. Our server Jessica was not a very good waitress, she forgot about our ticket on the table and came by 15 minutes later asking us if all we got was the endless salad bar, when we said that we ordered the burgundy sirloin tip meal and pointed to our ticket, she then picked it up and went to check on our food. Which had been done for a while and was sitting in the service window getting cold (literally, my food was cold I was not pleased) for this experiance on 11-29-11 I am giving a 2 star rating all around. We came in for dinner on 11-30-11 and ordered the same meal, our server was an older woman and she was awesome she made sure we had everything we needed, brought us cheesy bread and honey rolls. We had a meal here on Sunday afternoon 10/14. On the way home I had a terrible reaction possibly from a preservative used on the produce in the salad bar. We had to stop at Fred Meyers for some shopping and I barely made it to the restroom. Fortunately the stall was unoccupied or I would have been in serious trouble. The last time I had a reaction from a salad bar was at the former JJ Norths in Grants Pass where I learned they used Sulfite as preservative. I out of 100 people may be allergic to Sulfites. Mr. Sizzler if your restaurant is using a preservative especially Sulfites please be kind to your customers and post the use as well as possible reactions. My experience lasted well into the night and it was not a pleasant one. read more

Well Sizzler needs to setup their Game on their Salad bar and Steaks. The Salad is a main Staple at their business and it was really lacking some attention. Thee Lettuce was filled with the heels from the Iceberg and cut so small .I asked if the would bring out more I was told that's all the have . And this was a dinner time. The Ranch was tasting bad and they were missing a lot of othe things. We received our meal and the steak was so small the chicken from the salad bar was bigger. So I did order through door dash which is a horrible experience all it's own. But sizzler does not get off that easy. The steak that I got was burnt as well as being cold. Horrible taste and not able to eat it. Got frys on the side. They serve them in a paper bag, but put the bag in with the steak and they soaked up the moisture from the heat at some point and the juice from the steak itself. They were so soggy that I couldn't bring myself to eat them. The salad also had gross lettuce and mushy tomato. Not good from beginning to end. Contacted door dash as one would do in this situation to be refunded $2 on a $20 bill. Will never go here again if I was paid. I feel like I was taken like a little kid. Don't go here if you want something good. Don't use door dash if you have ever gotten sub par food, you will get a slap to the face and basically told your fault for expecting good customer service. Stopped here for dinner during my recent foto trip to Oregon. I've never been to a Sizzler's anywhere... it may be some time before I revisit. They offer seafood, meats and pasta, and an endless salad bar, along with soups. Seniors get to order from a lower-priced menu. Pay at the counter and take your drinks on a tray to your seat-yerself table. With your receipt, a person will eventually come to collect that and soon bring you your order(s). The restaurant was clean and roomy, and the salad bar was quite extensive and thus filling, but the main entries basically lacked in overall taste. Ok, so this is NOT the place I would ever go....but I went here because it is my dad's favorite place. I was in his town, he is my dad.....so I begrudgingly went. So this is not my cup of tea, but for those who like chain restaurants that have some reasonable steak or a good salad bar ...here you go. They just redid the interior and it looks nice. The service there was really good. The ladies were friendly and very attentive. My dad can't say enough, he loves his senior discount and he gets the salmon and salad bar. It allows him two meals (he takes the salmon home)....he's told me a dozen times....yet i still get to hear about it. the salad bar does have some nice choices...make your own,potato salad, krab salad, soup tacos, pastas and dessert ...you could fill up on it.
