Brisket salad
Joe B.

Good portions, good food and great staff. Another place we had wished we would have found years ago. Our group had a mixtures of brisket salad, some burgers and french dip and all were excellent. Coleslaw does have those dried cranberry raisin things in it. That could be good for some people or shocking to others so I wanted to call that out. All the sides were good, another thing i judge a place on. You got to have good sides to go along with the mains.

Wow! We were looking for someplace to grab a quick breakfast before heading north. My wife did a quick search on Yelp and came across this place We checked out their menu online. The breakfast menu includes plates, skillets, omelets, biscuits and gravy and burritos. The meat options include: bacon, sausage, pulled pork, Tri-tip, chorizo, brisket, ham pork chops and country fried steak. We did not even check out the rest of the menu. We decided to get breakfast burritos. We made a quick call to make sure they were open on Christmas eve, and they were. All breakfast burritos come with egg, cheese, hash browns, onions and peppers. My wife chose the BMP (bacon, mushroom, pepperjack) and I chose the Wilber (pulled pork and Carolina mustard) We arrived and walked inside. There were a few others, placing oders or picking up to-go orders. The place itself is simple and nothing fancy but appeared clean. There were a few tables inside and what appeared to be an outdoor seating area. When it was our turn, we approached the counter and our order was already bagged up and ready to go with the extra salsa we asked for. We opened the bag when we got the car and were surprised how big the burritos were. We each took a few bites and thought they were very tasty. The Wilber had a lot of pulled pork and the Carolina mustard was not over powering. I was really impressed with the taste. My wife said the BMP burrito was amazing as well. It was packed with lots of goodies and they weighed a ton. Would definitely recommend and go back when in the area.

Order at the register sit where ever you would like and they bring it right to you. The staff is helpful and kind, and actually checked on us. Had kids with us who loved the patio. The coleslaw is made with a house sauce and cranberries. Food as fresh and made inhouse. Definitely coming back and worth going over the river for. Oh and yes the tea is good and bottomless.

Hard pass. The place is dirty. Bathroom is dirtier than a gas station . This is by definition A Greasy Spoon .

I ordered a burger and my husband got the spicy chicken sandwich. The burger was pretty good, just a standard smash patty with a potato bun. The fries were pretty good as well. I will say the house made ranch was a little bland. The chicken sandwich was good as well. Nice crisp to the patty and good spice.

There's a cool wood-fired oven for pizza, which was a fun process to watch. I ordered the patty melt, which is something I never order, but I was in a rush to decide & did one of those, "I'll have what he's having" things when my husband ordered his patty melt. We're big seltzer water people, so when we went to order a seltzer and the lady told us it was free and self-serve, I was elated. The food didn't take very long & it was tasty looking! The sandwich was cut in half with smashed burger meat overflowing past the bread. It was glorious. The part of the plate that wasn't dominated by melty goodness was filled with with well-seasoned and crisp homemade fries. I could smell how delicious everything was the moment the moment the plate was set down in front of me. Flavor & texture of all the things exceeded expectations. The patty melt had layers of crispy fried onions that made for a lovely and tasty first-bite surprise, & continued to bring joy with each subsequent bite. Every there was incredibly nice and friendly. Dining there was so easy and lovely. Would love to come back the next time we pass through!

Yes!!! This place (Sweet Tea Express) we'd had a favorable lunch experience many months ago and I wasn't aware they also served breakfast. So here we went, and it's much closer to our house than the other one is anyways. This place has the BEST country gravy out of anywhere else I've tried in Grants Pass. I was so into my sausage patty with egg and hash-browns plate ( I added country gravy) that I forgot to take a picture; but my wife had a delicious Cobb Salad w/ Grilled Chicken (pic included), and our friend had biscuits & gravy with Eggs & Sausage (also pictured). Oh my STARS these are the kinds of breakfasts that one hopes to find, and are SO delicious!!!! Our server, Danielle, was a blessing and it was her first day on the job today (she told us)...and she did an amazing job. Very attentive & cordial. (Thank you) The ambiance was very relaxed, the establishment is clean as a whistle, and many locals were here enjoying their meals. Oh yes. Also a shout out to the Chef and the other nice lady behind the counter. You folks are all top-shelf and have a great product. Can't wait to see you all again!

Their country biscuit + gravy plate is a great value, too. The ribs are delicious, as well. The only side I really love is their coleslaw. The baked beans are an acquired taste. They're way more vinegar/mustard forward than sweet (Carolina-style, I guess). The potato & the mac salads are very pepper-forward. I like black pepper, but the couple of times I've had their potato & mac salad it was a bit too heavy on the black pepper, for me. All in all a solid, local establishment. The food is consistently delicious.
