From the very first sip of that rich, creamy broth, I knew this place was something special. The noodles were perfectly cooked, the pork was tender and flavorful, and every bite felt like comfort in a bowl. Honestly, it's the best ramen I've ever had--and it's not even close. What really sets this place apart is the customer service. The staff is friendly, attentive, and truly make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The vibe is awesome--lively, clean, and the kind of place you want to sit, relax, and enjoy every minute of your meal. And whatever you do, don't pass up the Spicy Wings. They are sweet, spicy, and perfectly crispy--cooked just right with that satisfying crunch in every bite. Absolutely delicious and the perfect complement to an already amazing meal. Top-notch service, incredible food, and an unbeatable atmosphere--this place is a must-visit.

My first time wasn't too memorable and the second time I got the ultra spicy veggie ramen and it was so spicy I cried (which is good haha i have very high spice tolerance so I'm glad I found a spot that can do truly spicy). This time, I got the deluxe Chicken Paitan DX Ramen (the one that comes with the chicken leg). Chicken Paitan DX Ramen: A sweet soy glazed chicken leg is served on a hot sizzling plate with a small bed of bean sprouts marinating in the sauce. The sauce is a sticky, sweet soy sauce that is so delicious. The chicken leg itself is tender, juicy, and has a great skin texture. The skin soaks up the sauce so well and even has some nice charred bits that add to the flavor and complexity of the dish. The ramen itself was great too. A creamy rich chicken broth. I got the spicy level, so one level under the top spice level and it was perfect. Not unbearably spicy, but had a really nice underlying kick. The noodles are a thin yet snappy noodle so it made it easy to eat. I love the corn and mushroom spirals too! Overall, if you come based on this review, make sure to get the chicken paitan dx ramen. There are only 15 served in a day but ask them if they have it because I was able to get one on a Monday night at around 8PM! It's a nice space, good for a date or even a casual hangout. They have tables to accomodate parties of 1, 2, 4, and possibly 6.

For outdoor seating you have to order everything at the bar and they will bring the food to your table. So there is no table service other than that. It was still great though we got everything we need and the food came out in good timing. The drinks were really fun and I really liked the cold foam on the beer! Definitely must try! The appetizers were not that good I would skip. The miso ramen though, was AMAZING!! The broth is so rich and creamy. The noodles were also really good at picking up the broth. Definitely impressed with the ramen here. Overall, this is one of my favorite ramen spots in Austin and would love to come back soon!

Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. #5 Tsukemen/Dipping Broth ($16.50): The dipping broth wasn't umami enough to hold up as a true dipping broth, so we ended up pouring it over our noodles and eating it like a regular ramen bowl. The flavors were really good and better than the MI-SO-HOT. The only complaint about the broth was that it wasn't warm or hot. The noodles were bouncy and thick like udon, which I loved. They only gave one slice of chashu, which was disappointing, so I'm glad we added the extra Goma Pork/Sesame Seasoned Ground Pork ($2.50) and Naruto Maki ($1.50). Chashu Rice Bowl ($8.50): Good, but not as flavorful or melt-in-your-mouth as last time. #4 MI-SO-HOT (Tonkotsu) ($16): My cousin got this and it was actually bulked out with veggies. It was good, but the flavors weren't anything standout. Not super spicy either, so the heat is very tolerable.

But so glad we wandered in here based on great Yelp reviews! DELICOUS miso ramen!! We got the miso not (miso broth) and miso hot tonkotsu ramen (perfect amount of spicy). Cute shop. You order at the front and they have open self seating. Nice interior and we didn't wait long to order or get our food. I could definitely see this place being packed and needing to wait for a seat, but food was fantastic. Little parking lot in the back, or park on the street.

The bowl was loaded with a ton of lettuce or cabbage and piles of green onions, which totally threw off the balance of the dish. Before, the flavor was rich, deep, and spicy in a satisfying way. This time it felt watered down, overly bulky from the vegetables, and the overall taste just did not resemble what I remember at all. It felt like a completely different recipe. On top of that, the restaurant was dead at lunch, which was surprising for this place. The inside layout and seating have also been changed, and the space feels less cozy and more awkward than before. The whole vibe is just different. I hate writing this because this used to be the OG best ramen spot in town, but it has gone really downhill. Between the recipe change, the overload of greens, and the interior changes, it just was not the same experience. With so many new and better options around Austin now, I will not be returning. Sadly.....Check the last two photos for reference - time/date stamp.

The costilla ones weren't bad either but the pastor was the clear winner between the two. I ordered the carnitas tonkotsu ramen and had no complaints here. Somehow, against all odds, Ramen Del Barrio still exceeds its reputation. There's only one vegan ramen option but it's all you need, both in terms of portion size and flavor. I've never had anything quite like the mole tsukemen, a Tex-Mex mashup pairing rich mole broth served separately from handmade noodles so thick, you might mistake them for udon at a glance. Simple toppings of fried tortilla strips, avocado, charred jalapeno, and caramelized onions adorn the top. Before this moment, I thought I just wasn't a fan of mole. It turns out, I had never tried great mole before. This stuff dazzles with layered spices, melded so well that I can't pick a single one out from the pack. It's not overwhelmingly hot, but definitely leaves your lips tingling. I'm glad I finally got there before they close up shop at their current location in Hana World Market on December 21st, and even happier to know that their new brick-and-mortar isn't too far behind. I'll be there as soon as the doors open!

Apr 8, 2026 review:…read more I've been at Nori two times in person and recently tried their to-go order. We got one Austin roll ($22), volcano roll ($15), creamy spicy tan tan ramen ($20), teriyaki sesame tofu yakisoba ($20). I have had their sushi and yakisoba but tried their ramen for first time. I was impressed with their packaging. As you can see in picture, veggies and noodles box was on top and soup at bottom. The only thing I didn't like how noodles became very sticky because of how tight they were packed. So I got it as cold (because I live 30 mins away) and sticky. Ramen came with all the veggies like grilled Chinese broccoli, tofu, sweet corn, marinated shiitake mushrooms, red onions and negi. Yakisoba noodles had the Stir-fried noodles tossed with cabbage, scallion, carrot, marinated shiitake mushrooms, and fragrant negi in a savory house sauce. It was good if you like this type of noodles. Austin roll had Smoked tempeh, tempura tofu, jalapeño, pickles. And on the to Avocado, roasted garlic oil, tempura flakes, smoked paprika, teriyaki. Volcano roll was a deep fried roll which had spinach, avocado, sweet potato. On top: spicy mayo, sweet soy sauce, chili sauce, Caviart and tempura onion. I would say this is the best vegetarian sushi place I've found in Austin. So if you're in search, this wouldn't disappoint you.

Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. We tried the chick'n karaage, impossible gyoza, and a few different speciality roles (austin, manhattan, and another that I can't recall). While the food was really yummy, the drinks were somehow even better. I had an early grey martini that blew me away. Probably in the top 2 best cocktails I've ever had in my life. The best part is all of their drinks (or nearly all of their cocktails) come in three variations which allows you to get them with alchohol, thc, or make it complelely non-alcoholic. Love the inclustivity. I cant' wait to come back!
