They did have a staff meeting or something while we were there which was distracting. it took a while to be attended to, even though there was only one other customer there, menu can be virtual if you like by scanning the QR code or you can go traditional menu. Very good Japanese food. I had the Bluefin Sashimi which was melt in your mouth but also the most expensive Sashimi on the menu. Well worth the price for this luxury fish. If you want to learn to like sushi, start with the best of the tunas. You will get hooked. The miso soup was very simple and delicious. The cucumber salad was a fun addition; you cleanse your palate with this and the next bite of Bluefin is even more delicious. I usually have to go far for quality sushi, this place did not disappoint. Their options are fresh, melt-in-your mouth flavorful. I would say this is on par with Sugarfish in terms of quality, but this place has many more options. It is also much less pretentious than other places and when I went there was la short wait. I enjoyed my Ramon very much. Price was reasonable as well. However I ordered eel roll for my daughter and I could see visible eel bones. It was not her first time eating eel roll. It was never a problem for her before other restaurants usually never use parts with plenty of bones. But this restaurant for some reason used parts that were full of bones! My child isn't that skillful eating fish with tiny bones and hours later when we got home she actually reported pain in her throat saying something might have gotten stuck. I had her swallow some bread and luckily it went down and in the morning she was all fine. Saved us a trip to the ER but I was not happy with that part of our dining experience. I think the chef should have been more sensitive or at least warn customers about this factor!! Especially when there are small children involved! read more

Had a very disappointing experience here this evening. The restaurant closes at 9:00 pm and we arrived at 8:15 pm. When our food was brought up to us, I smelled the heavy scent of floor cleaner. An employee was mopping the floor on the other side of the restaurant. I asked them to stop and he said that he only was going to mop only one side of the restaurant. He opened the door to let some air out but the smell was hard to overcome and I could no longer enjoy my meal. They stopped mopping in the dining area but I noticed they continued to mop in the kitchen. I asked for my portion of the email to be removed from the bill (which I did not eat) which they did thankfully. They really should not be mopping at all with cleaners with heavy scents until there are no longer patrons at the restaurant. I hope management will take note of this. read more

Took my kids to the arcade across the street and my oldest was cracking Udon, so we stopped in here for an early dinner on a Saturday afternoon. There was only one other table when we went in which is perfect since my kids can be a handful. My son had the chicken bento and I had the salmon meal with a blue crab hand roll. My husband got the chicken teriyaki bento, I went for the bulgogi beef bento and we were given the option of having a california roll in place of the steamed rice - which we both went for. I think next time we would probably have one with steamed rice and one with california roll just to even out the flavors a bit, but they were both great bento combinations. Their tempura sauce isn't traditional - I'm trying to figure out the taste - almost like a little sake or something in there that wasn't quite cooked out, but it was still pretty tasty. We've also had the bulgogi ramen, seafood ramen which look like they have the same spicy red soup base. The shishito peppers with garlic were good - not as charred as I would have liked, but still good. I would definitely return for their bento and I think I'd like to try the tempura udon. The ambience was great, and our server Hyun was very kind and welcoming! The other server Kenya was also very sweet. The sashimi was really fresh- especially the bluefin tuna, sooo good. The tempura roll was also very flavorful. Not like other tempura/crunch rolls, it had a very distinct taste to the salmon and you won't get tired of it. Stopped by for lunch, but sadly, my friend and I would not return nor recommend given many better options around. Service was great but the food and attention to detail needs work. Baked mussels- Did not taste the fresh. Even the sauce couldn't hide the after taste. Seafood udon- They accidentally screwed up on the broth and made it plain vegetarian broth that was bland. +1 for catching their own error after we started eating and taking the item off the bill. Bulgogi Bento Box- Miso soup tasted sour like it had spoiled. Mentioned it to the server and he replaced it with a new bowl with fresher tofu, but the soup was still sour (which I would guess is from the spoiled tofu boiling in it). The salad was overdressed and sitting in a puddle. +1 for a generous petition of bulgogi, but it would have made sense to automatically come with rice. It was too flavorful to eat by itself. Sweet potato and pumpkin tempura prices were undercooked and not soft throughout. Four pieces of California roll were standard. All in all, a disappointing and lackluster experience. read more

We order the teriyaki salmon (which comes with rice and miso) along with a double order of California rolls, a cucumber roll, garlic edamame and cucumber salad. All the food came out quickly and it was all high quality and delicious. The garlic edamame were so warm and delicious, the kids devoured it. I didn't eat the rolls but my kids say that it was all great. I highly recommend hitting it up. There is the parking lot right behind it that charges only $1 for the first two hours, so that's a plus. The only negative is the selection of music they played. Too modern and did not provide the ambiance of relaxation that I hoped for, it wasn't loud just too modern. read more

Right next to a big parking structure that I always use when I visit Old Pas called Schoolhouse parking facility. We got calamari for appetizers which were thick which I loved - the sauce that came with it was also amazing. Then we tried the Sushi combo B that came with 8 sushi and a hand-roll. Perfect bang for your buck. The sushi cuts were super THICK - perfect for sharing. The Blooming onion roll was amazing I LOVED the fried onions on top - super crispy and was amazing pared with the sauce from the calamari. The Hawaiian roll was also amazing the seaweed on top was brilliant. The food presentation was super cute and removed all the clutter that comes with different plates that other stores do. I love the ambiance, the wall art featuring traditional Korean folklore scenery was really unique. The food was as good as what I had heard, I ordered tuna tataki, salmon skin salad, and had 2 different rolls. We picked ones that were spicy, and boy it had a kick. This restaurant is a Korean Japanese sushi restaurant, their fried chicken was really tender and juicy on the inside and crispy and had crack sauce. I loved that I paid $1 to park in the garage just few steps away. I will definitely be going back. read more
