Ok so went here on Monday night with a friend..we ordered a bunch of different stuff..I guess I must of ate something that wasn't fresh. Everything seemed to be okay, we ended up paying and leaving. I get home about an hour & half later, I started getting violently ill & throwing up from whatever I ate. The next day I called to speak to a manager to get a refund or at least to make sure he/she knows that they are selling food that may not be fresh and for other ppl. They kept telling me "But the manager is not in" I called 3 times & then they finally agreed to give me a refund. However they said they couldn't refund my card because they don't have capabilities doing that so I'll have to get cash. Which is the most ridiculous thing. Today I went in & they quickly gave me the refund and didn't say anything to what happened. Not even like a sorry. I will never go there again. read more

This is by far the worst experience I have ever encountered. We began by ordering small amounts of food, and if we ordered say 10 items, only about 3 or 4 came. The portions are incredibly small and once the food finally arrives, it is quite questionable to classify it as edible. The "chicken" we ordered was dry, grayish color, chewy, and absolutely no taste. Others who had different types of sushi said it was quite good but not the best they have had here on the island. I left the restaurant worrying about if what I consumed would cause food poisoning etc. The order in which the restaurant is run is extremely disorganized and unprofessional. Good luck trying to get something as simple as a refill. I HIGHLY recommend to never go here. You'd have a nicer evening at McDonald's. The only thing I will say was decent was the managers accommodations once we expressed how unhappy we were with our service. A small discount was granted off the total bill. read more

I love this place. Its true that sometimes the food can take a little longer, but what do you expect when everything is made-to-order? It's not made in a batch and sitting under a heat lamp like at a buffet. One Yelper complained that the "food took a long time and the sushi was warm" but really, that just means they were waiting on the rice to cook and there's nothing as delicious as a nice piece of sushi so freshly made that the rice is still warm. To clarify, this is a different take on "all you can eat." You are given a paper menu, write in the quantities of the items you'd like, and it is whisked away to the kitchen, manifesting as hot, fresh Japanese cuisine in ten minutes or so. Their sushi and sashimi was awesome the two times we went there, one of which was Valentine's Day, and despite being packed, the service was still good, polite, with quality food and they even brought us a rose with the check. Its not all about sushi, though! Their friend shrimp and dumplings are amazing! I don't think we've ever had room left to try their desserts. read more

What is better then all you can eat (and I do mean ALL ) you can eat sushi, tempura, teriyaki and other Japanese foods. $21.50 get you a ton of good quality food. Wait staff can be pushy when it crowded but still worth every cent. It's byob which is great so you can save cost on beverage as well. read more

Thumbs down... to start the appetizers were microwaved, rubbery and oily. The rice wasn't fresh and tasted stale. We ordered from the kitchen and never received the food, when we ordered the dessert(fried banana) it didn't come either, and on top of that, when we asked multiple times for the fried banana they only brought us one tiny slice of a banana. Not half of the banana, not a quarter of the banana or not even a few pieces, just one tiny slice of banana. I mean really! This is definitely a no go. Stay away. read more

We have become regular here. As Forrest Gump might say "solid is as solid does". For an all you can eat sushi place this is the best one we have been to. I have been here many times, and I'm never really disappointed. The sushi is made fresh to order, and delicious. I like the $20/all you can eat part, too. The items from the kitchen are good too, and always served nice and hot. I like that you can BYOB, too. The specialty rolls are awesome! I have yet to see another sushi joint do these kinds of rolls. I honestly don't have really anything bad to say about this place except that after a few plates (I can eat sushi like it's my job), the sushi chefs will (most of the time) add extra rice to some of the rolls. Sometimes you don't always get what you order, though. And I don't know if it's just us when we go, but whenever my friend orders eel, most of the time it never comes on the plate. read more

Really like this place. We find the food to be excellent and well prepared. Personally I like the California roll and the Godzilla roll. My wife goes for the more traditional sushi and sashimi pieces. That being said, there is an issue with the wait staff. Quite simply they don't speak (or apparently read) English well. There understanding of the language is minimal at best. It is possible to order something and not get it due to language barriers. In addition they will on occasion bring out soup and salad and appetizers after the main courses have been served. Take that into account when you go there and you'll be fine. I also note that the restaurant tends to be noisy. Almost as if everyone is trying to show they're having a good time. Personally I can deal with this, but keep it in mind. read more

The time that you sit until the time that you get your food is very short. There is barely any waiting time. The sushi here is very good except for the fact that it is warm. Usually meaning its been left out for a while. Overall the ordering process is very simple ans you can eat as much as you want for a small fee. Overall a very nice place. read more

My favorite sushi place!! They have 50% off take out from 11am to 5pm everyday. They also have all you can eat everyday and hey who doesn't want as much sushi as you can stuff into you for $20! Since I was out with a friend I had not seen in a while and we both wanted all of the sushi we cared to eat, we decided to try Sushi Time 560 as a friend of mine recommended it and I did not feel like driving to Great Neck to eat at Masago (http://www.yelp.com/biz/masago-neojapanese-cuisine-great-neck?hrid=99vCQvZiHw9CGYA_WKzZMQ) and Minado (http://www.yelp.com/biz/minado-carle-place?hrid=JBjwLtRA8ERrzQpuORczHQ) was closing in an hour, we decided to come here as I had heard good things about Sushi Time 560 and they were open until 10:00PM on a Sunday night. We arrived at the restaurant at about 8:15PM, where we were greeted by a friendly host, who escorted to an available table towards the rear of the restaurant, which looked to be about 3/4 full. I found that this small restaurant was clean and looked like your standard strip mall Japanese joint, which was fitting as Sushi Time 560 is located in a strip mall anchored by a King Kullen supermarket. We were then greeted by our waiter (I do not remember his name), who was friendly and delivered a sheet of paper to order sushi as well as appetizers and entrees from the kitchen. Me and my friend filled out the sheet, ordering many different types of sushi as well as grilled squid, chicken teriyaki, chicken satay, miso soup, and salad. I also asked if they could do a Spicy Tuna Roll with no mayonnaise, since I am allergic to eggs and the waitress who came by to pick up the sheet, said it could not be done as it seemed she did not understand what I was saying as perhaps she did not have the best command of the English language. However, our waiter came back and said it could be done, so I went through with ordering the Spicy Tuna Roll. Also, my friend ordered an iced tea and I ordered a hot green tea, which was delicious and well brewed. First, our kitchen appetizers and entrees arrived. I found the salad to be pedestrian but fresh, with crisp iceburg lettuce and a somewhat thin but tangy ginger dressing. I also enjoyed the Miso Soup, which was soothing and pleasantly salty with cubes of tofu. I then received the Chicken Teriyaki, Chicken Satay, and grilled squid, and I have to agree with Drew A that the portions looked like they were made for kids. With that being said, these entrees were alright quality wise, as the chicken teriyaki was tender with a sweet and salty teriyaki sauce, the chicken satay was juicy, and the barbecued squid pieces were not too chewy and had a sweet and slightly salty sauce surrounding the rings and tentacles. Our sushi was next to arrive and I found it to be far better than your average Chinese buffet but slightly shy of Minado and Masago and not as good as the best sit-down Japanese restaurants. This is not to say the sushi was bad, as the salmon sashimi and nigiri were fresh, mild, and buttery, the tuna was meaty, the yellowtail had a mild finish, and the salmon skin rolls were filled with crispy salmon skin. Unfortunately, the spicy tuna rolls were disappointing as they were merely tuna rolls and did not contain chiles and sesame oil to make them spicy. In addition, I found that the rolls were not constructed that well as they fell apart easily. While the service was friendly and efficient, one thing that irked me was that when we were the last customers in the restaurant and were about to leave at 9:20PM, we noticed that the staff started cleaning up even though closing was at 10:00PM, which was awkward and made us feel a little rushed. We finished a little after this time and all of the staff bid us farewell. The price, at $21.95 for the All You Can Eat special is very reasonable given the good quality and quantity of the sushi, but I prefer Minado and Masago when I have a craving to eat large amounts of sushi and Japanese food. However, I would return here again if I were in the area and craving sushi. read more

We ask for a table of 5 and the waitress that looks like a man just shoved a bunch of tables in the corner. Also whenever we got food the she that looks like a he just decides to plop it on the table and take off leaving a mess on the table. (Also should I mention the tables wobble). They serve drinks in a can and speaking of cans; we were once told to go to another restaurant to use a bathroom. While you're eating there on a semi-busy day - don't be surprised to feel rushed. Wow worst experience ever. To start I am a server and always give other servers the benefit of the doubt but there is only so much one can take. First off they say they open at 11 but didn't show up until 11:30. Then I guess since they automatically add 20% gratuity...even for a party of 5, they clearly just do not care about service. We literally write down what we want on the paper for them and they still somehow forget several items. We then had to ask for them 3 more times until they finally served it. Also do not get the sweet and sour soup it literally looked like the scraps from their kitchen sink. Their cold noodles smelled sour to the point that they were inedible. Had a reservation for 10 people. We were seated on time and as it is a BYOB they saw we had wine bottles, they counted how many people, brought out wine glasses and opened our bottles. The service was excellent, they kept refilling our water glasses and tea cups without being asked. The food was really good, especially for an AYCE sushi restaaurant. The sushi here is pretty good. The only problem is that every time me and my boyfriend come here we don't get our full order. EVERYTIME. I came here on a busy Saturday night and asked for there crabmeat salad....never got it....I asked for it to 3 different waiters AND THE MANAGER. Finally the busboy basically told me I won't be getting it tonight because "they're too busy"....oh ok honestly we are never coming here again unless we're desperate for cheap sushi. My fiance and I have tried several all you can eat sushi places all around Long Island. Sushi Time 560 is #1. Best quality, cheapest, nicest staff, least stingy aannd BYOB! We've now gone there dozens of times, we never leave disappointed. Numerous times we've stayed for hours enjoying "true" all you can eat sushi and some wine. The staff is never pushy or stingy with your orders. "You want your fourth platter of 4+ rolls and sashimi? No Problem!" They'll just keep it coming. Only gave it a 4 because this was my first time going "Out for Sushi". OUTSTANDING! I have friends that are pretty serious Sushi people and they said this is the best All You Can Eat place they've found. It was a little chaotic ordering especially with a large group and some things were missing each time, which seams like a trend after reading the reviews, but nothing that couldn't be fixed on the next round. You get two papers, one for sushi/sashimi and one for hot kitchen appetizer type options. We were 12 people with 3 people that were not big sushi fans, but there are enough options on the kitchen menu to keep a non sushi eater happy, and enough sushi to let them explore if they are interested. I kept up with the heaviest sushi eater at our table, receiving round after round of huge double plates at a time, each holding 40 - 50 pieces. The large round table they sat us at had a rotating glass lazy suzan in the middle, so sharing off the plates was easy and fun. They're really wasn't anything it didn't try and like here. Even the sashimi was clean and fresh tasting. And the reorders came out fast. We had 5 or 6 full large plates of food and endless hot kitchen items. The bill on a Friday night only came to $29 each with the decided tip our bill organizer calculated. We brought beers and mixed drinks on our own and were supplied with cups of ice at our request. There were many people with Wine and liquor with mixers at their tables enjoying the BYOB set up which is great cause drinks could have really changed the cost of a night out quickly.
