I'm the one that makes the joke about having to pay to make my own food, but this place was fine. It's the only buffet-style restaurant I will eat at and it is nice and clean. Both times I have gone they have been busy, but you don't feel crowded. The options are plentiful as well. I got what I liked and then got some stuff to try out. The only recommendation I would have would be some guidance and the sauces. Everyone seems to have their own little mixes they were making and I'm just totally clueless. I do recommend and this place is fun and filling.

My new favorite hot pot location! I love hotpot and usually go when I want to splurge a bit. With spring shabu shabu you have a more approachable price point with great quality and the unlimited option of choice. I've been here twice so far and the restaurant is clean, the food is fresh, and the service is quick. You pay a standard price to eat and that allows you to select what you want from the buffet which has noodles, rice cakes, leafy greens, root vegetables, and so much more! However this is an additional but very reasonable charge for meats. I wish the staff would label the meats or tell you what's what because both times I went I ordered a good range of meat and had no way to decipher my favorites. I've had better meats at other locations but they were still good and they offer a nice quantity. I love the fact that you can select what you want from the buffet, as it reduces food waste and you can really customize your experience. One of the best parts is after you eat your (possibly spicy) food you can cool down and get some ice cream - which is included! As this restaurant recently opened, it's quite promising and I hope its prices, cleanliness, and quality are here to stay.

My family and I came here on Sunday at 5:30pm and it was already pretty busy. They don't take reservations so we wanted to get there early. We luckily were able to get a table right away. They offered us water or barley tea to drink since we didn't order any other drinks. We also immediately ordered our soup bases and the proteins we wanted. We chose... Soup bases: Dashix2 Mushroom Pork bone (They were out of Miso) Proteins: Ribeyex2 Beef belly Pork belly Seafood combo (included crab, white fish, clams, mussels, squid/octopus) Clams Lamb (we ordered later) Reminder- proteins are additional costs. We went and made our sauces and by the time we had finish making our sauces they had already put our soup bases down and our proteins down. They are very efficient. I the sauce area, they even have some premixed sauces like sesame oil and scallion or ponzu and garlic which were good. Definitely try them! One note: the clams are raw but the mussels are pre-cooked. Three of our mussels looked barely opened and then cracked so we asked to please get them replaced because we didn't want to risk it. They kept saying it was precooked but still replaced them. They have every possible vegetable, fish balls, and even fresh noodles that I was excited to try. You don't even really need to get that much protein, the buffet will fill you up plenty. When I went up for round 2, it even looked like they had rotated out some of the fish balls with different ones. They also filled up our soups a few times which was nice. They are pretty strict about the 90 minutes but we were so full, so we paid, got an ice cream cone to go and left. Very clean and spacious. They have so many tables I would be interested in going back

I love spring shabu! I've been a fan since they opened in Boston many years ago. Since then, they've expanded into flushing and Long Island as well. I really love this location because it's located near Roosevelt Field Mall and very spacious. It has its own parking lot so it's super convenient. It is similar to their other 2 locations in that you get your own individual soup and can control the settings on how hot you want it on your own. There are unlimited vegetables, fish ball, sauces, and ice cream. You just have to pay for the meat and seafood you want. I loved that this location was so spacious. There is so much seating and I never felt claustrophobic while getting my vegetables. The servers were friendly and would check up on us to clear our plates, refill water, and refill our soup broth. I got my usual, which is the pork bone broth and the fatty beef. I absolutely love their peanut sauce and would recommend it!!

An unexpected, truly delightful surprise. We were headed to the Asian market around the corner for Christmas eve and most of stalls were closing up. Luckily, Lee accepted my suggestion to have a peek at Spring ShabuShabu and it was absolutely perfect. Clean, clean, sparkling clean. Well stocked & displayed greens, fish cakes, veggies & mushrooms galore! We chose our broths, ordered some additional seafood and had a blast. This is a great place for those who are vegan/vegetarians or have food allergies as the ingredients are fresh and unseasoned. You pay one price, which was extremely reasonable. Service was exceptional. Best of all, the Dole Whip soft serve at the end...self serve, non dairy..my favorite ! Go here..you will not be disappointed. It is a bright, beautiful, spacious restaurant.

Today I had the pork bone broth which was rich in flavor. We asked for mala sauce on the side so that we could add the preferred amount of heat to our soup. Love the large selection of vegetables, tofu, fish cakes and noodles to choose from. We ordered some lamb and pork belly on the side which was delicious too. I had some barley tea to drink and had both the green tea and vanilla swirl as well as the pineapple dole whip which I liked because it tasted like a refreshing sorbet at the end of a satisfying meal.

I thoroughly enjoy coming here every time. I used to go all the way to the Flushing NY location and am so happy they opened one closer. I loveee the way they set everything up inside- the decor and layout is very welcoming and open. It's well lighted as well and large. Their prices for the hot pot are not bad at all. Service is great always. The servers I have gotten are attentive. Food wise- I usually go with their kimchi broth. It is delicious- although I sometimes find myself adding salt and red pepper flakes. You can order meats from the menu which are extra charge, however there is a large self serve area for anything like fish cakes, noodles, and veggies. I ordered their beef belly from the menu which is delicious and you can tell it's fresh. The options in the self serve area expansive. Pictured are some of the picks I had: cheese fish cakes, shrimp filled fish cake, house made ramen noodles, mung bean noodles, wood ear mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, broccoli, bean sprouts, etc. There is also a make-your-own sauce bar. I will be back as always!

Food is always great here. Very fresh. Tables and food areas are kept clean. Figured I'll post up the current prices since the other ones posted here are a bit outdated. The service is a hit or miss. There have been times when some of the waiters aren't as attentive as they should be (asking if you want your pot of broth need to refilled, drinks refilled, etc.).

I remember seeing a sign at the original Flushing location before the pandemic announcing a new spot in Mineola, and I was eagerly awaiting the opening. Though the Mineola location never came to be, likely due to the pandemic, I'm glad to see they've now opened in Westbury. The Westbury space impressed me right away. The layout feels open and airy, with large tables that are perfect for groups. The buffet area is well-lit and clean, with a team constantly restocking, maintaining the ice, and ensuring everything looks fresh. I also appreciated the two fully-stocked sauce stations at the front--there wasn't a condiment or sauce I felt was missing, plus there were extras like kimchi and lemons. I like that most of the offerings are all-you-can-eat, including vegetables, noodles, and various types of fish balls. While the meats are priced per plate, they've recently cut those prices in half, which makes the experience even more appealing. All the ingredients were fresh and high-quality, and I enjoyed everything I selected. I did notice they've stopped their weekday lunch service, but along with the reduced meat prices, it seems they're still navigating the Long Island market. I'm hopeful the Westbury location sticks around because, even though the Downtown Flushing spot is closer for me, I find myself preferring this location. It has plenty of parking, and the overall vibe in the suburbs is just more relaxed.

The sujebi is closest in this picture.

4.5 If you're on the fence about shabu shabu or hot pot, maybe you should give this place a shot. I'm not the biggest fan of it, but my wife is, so I go with her every now and then. Although there are plenty of other places a lot closer to me (even another Spring), this one checks a lot of boxes for me. The place is pretty large, clean, and modern, has a lot of fresh ingredients, and, my favorite part, plenty of parking! The staff and servers are friendly, observant, and happy to assist. The last time we went, there were two incidents that highlighted the staff's great service. First, I totally overfilled my broth, and when it started to boil, it overflowed a bit. I got up and asked for some more napkins, and guessing this happens a lot, they gave me some. One of them even brought larger paper towels and said, "It's okay, it happens all the time." Later, when one of the clams didn't open, I brought it to the attention of the server. He immediately apologized, took it back, and a few minutes later returned with two new clams and apologized again. My personal favorite part about coming here is the opportunity to fill up on sujebi, which are hand-torn pieces of dough. Other items I love to stock up on include fresh ramen noodles, cheese fishcakes, jalapeño fishcakes, corn, spinach, and bok choy. If you're wondering about it or curious, check it out!

My boyfriend and I are regulars here since it's close to our house. We loved the Flushing location and were excited when they opened a Long Island branch. Normally, the food is consistent, service is decent, and even on weekends we don't usually have to wait. We've recommended this place to friends many times. Unfortunately, during our most recent visit, I found a spider/bug in my soup. I calmly removed it with my spoon and let the waitress know without making a scene. She brought over the manager, who apologized and said it may have fallen from the ceiling, then replaced the soup. By that point, I had completely lost my appetite and felt uncomfortable continuing to eat, though I tried. What was more disappointing was the lack of follow-up: no comp, no discount, and the manager never checked back in afterward. As regular customers, that felt careless and dismissive. Mistakes happen, but how they're handled defines a restaurant. A small gesture or even a sincere follow-up would have made a big difference. This experience definitely changed how we feel about coming back. Food: 3/5 - usually solid, but finding a bug in food is a major issue Service: 2/5 - acknowledged the problem but poorly handled by management Atmosphere: 4/5 - comfortable space and convenient location Overall, very disappointing given how often we come here.

I will preface this by saying I consider K-city a 5/5 for Long Island - probably a 4/5 if K-city was in Queens tbh. If i was in the Nassau area I default to K-city vs. Kpot! I mainly go to K-city for the hotpot vs. the kbbq/hot food selection. The bbq is okay but the grill itself is pretty small. The prepared food selection is also okay, includes both hot food & sushi but I mainly consider it as food to eat while my hotpot is getting ready (lol). The broths are very legit with the variety offered being spicy (mala with the Szechuan peppercorns), mushroom, pork bone, herbal ( I believe is a mix of pork & chicken + herbs), tomato and mushroom. My favorite thus far have been the spicy & herbal! I appreciate that the meats are also included in the buffet section as well so I can control the quantity as opposed to some other hotpot/bbq places where the meats come pre-portioned. I think the main drawback of K-City as opposed to Spring Shabu (my personal 2nd favorite choice in nassau) is definitely the veggie selection & quality. Having said that, the veggie selection is okay and has the main things I get like the enoki mushrooms, napa cabbage, broccoli and noodles.

First off, yeah its a bbq/ hotpot kind of joint. AYCE of course. I have to say the little personal hotpots they give us are cute. The broth choices doesn't seem to matter tbh. Eventually you're chucking all types of seafood and meats that will make your broth good regardless. The pot is a bit on the smaller side if you choose 2 different broths. Hoping the 1 flavor one would be bigger but its the same. Cause of the split pot inside. As for the choices it's pretty standard hotpot stuff. Nothing too crazy to write home about. The grill side was a bit on the disappointment. Sure they have "marinated meats" but when I went they just chuck frozen galbi on top of the marinated meat. Not sure if they didn't have enough time for prep but I felt like the workers are just throwing things in for us animals to eat regardless of flavors. The cook station and sushi station was probably the most disappointing stations of them all. Majority of the cooked foods were cold. you would assume theres some kind of heat light warmer or steam bath to keep the foods warm but nope... most of them were just out and about and cold. The sushi station was lack lustered... selections were limited. Just your average carb city and fillers. The sashimi were not appealing imo. Overall, i felt like this place maybe good for younger audiences or family outings. Kids will like it cause of all the different types of fried/fast food styles. Also... just a tip for some of you out there. If you see raw oysters and raw clams with ice cubes on them... it's for HOT POT to COOK THEM IN! If you want the legit ones goto the sushi station for them... DONT EAT THE ONES AT THE HOTPOT STATION! MOST LIKELY YOU WILL GET SICK IF YOU DO! I'm pretty sure their were signs that state that ...but saw some of these "adults" SLURPING AWAY before even making it to the table... and im like...bro is gonna be on the toilet for sure... Global Buffet is a huge restaurants inside a large brick building and is hard to miss. There is plenty of parking as it sits in a large shopping area. Customer service was great from start to finish. Our table stayed clean and our drinks stayed full. My uncle footed the bill, but I glanced at the prices and they are very reasonable here. The buffet setup is massive. I've honestly only seen bigger in Vegas. They had about 3 rows of foods. On top of that, off to the side, they have salad and dessert bars, a hibachi station, and a large sushi station. As the name of the restaurant suggests, the offerings are truly global. They have a variety of different cuisines but the main focus is Chinese food. I had a flight to catch after this meal so I took it a little easy on my intake. I started off with sushi. For a buffet, the sushi was actually pretty decent. Set your expectations correctly and you will enjoy it. Everything else I tried throughout the buffet was good. No complaints from anyone in our party. Overall, for a Chinese buffet, this spot was not bad at all. But they are fun to go with a group, especially with non Koreans because they can try a variety of things. I've tried Kpot, Gen BBQ, and Let's Meat and they were all just so so. However Won Kbbq totally exceeded my expectations! WOW! Everything was fantastic- meats, banchans, appetizers, salads, and service!! Really, really solid and awesome. Bulbogi was tender and had the right amount to sweetness. Pork steak was also tender and perfectly seasoned. Brisket was thinly sliced and flavorful. Marinated chicken was also delicious. The servers were so friendly and attentive. They changed out the grill pan after each round of meats. We had a great lunch and will definitely be going back. My non Korean friend said this is her new favorite restaurant. A large parking lot is another huge bonus!

Unfortunately I have a pineapple allergy and could only eat the spicy and non marinated items. Be warned the spicy kicked my butt and I love spicy food. The table comes with dipping sauces, kimchi, some pickles radish and bean sprouts. The suggestion to make things a lettuce wrap was perfect. Had a great cooling effect, plus is was a great vessel for the house dipping sauce. That sauce was so good, garlicy, chili laced but not too spicy and perfectly balanced. We tried a few side dishes. I will say the spicy rice cakes were odd. They were fried and the texture to me was not great. Also I would never order side of rice again. It was dry, both under and over cooked and felt like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a while before we received it. I would definitely go here again.
