Getting lunch!
Jen C.

I love 99 ranch so much! This location seems to never be as busy as some other locations even though it's in a high populated area. They have all your Chinese staples along with fresh veggies. They do sample tastes on Saturday. Also when I spent above $50 they gave me a present of milk tea. Although they ran out of wall calendars so fast! I love their food court options here. They have pho, sauerkraut fish soup, dimsum and at the dimsum place if you spend $20 you get a free order of duck buns or soup dumplings. Their soup dumplings are really tasty too! The place is clean and there are bathrooms and hand washing stations available. There is a baby changing table but it's a little crooked.

A relatively clean Chinese supermarket compared to those in Flushing or Brooklyn. They carry a good selections of products and fresh produce. Some products are a little pricier but still acceptable. They have a few food stalls that sell really good food. There's also a bakery and Coco on site.

99 Ranch Market in Westbury reminds me a lot of H Mart in Jericho. Both are Asian supermarkets with a food court and bakery inside, offering a fun and diverse shopping experience. There are so many unique finds here that make this place a go-to destination: pork brains, pork belly, beef belly, mandu (dumplings) stuffed with pork and celery, mandu stuffed with pork, cabbage, and shrimp, duck leg, passion fruit ice cream, fresh lychees, and fresh longan (which tastes similar to lychee). One of the two men sorting the longan even offered me a sample -- it was sweet and refreshing, just like lychee! I also picked up some dim sum from the food court, which was a bargain at 3 for $4.50. The store is well-organized and clean, which makes shopping here a pleasant experience. My only minor gripe is that a few specialty items are priced a bit higher than at regular supermarkets. For instance, the Mavens (brand) passion fruit ice cream costs $11.99 a pint, while Google shows it's sold elsewhere for a few dollars less. Still, if you ever get the urge to explore or stock up on Asian groceries, 99 Ranch Market is absolutely worth the trip!

Hooked after our Yelp event! After attending a Yelp event here, I've been hooked ever since. Anytime I'm in the area, I make it a point to stop by and check out the sales and unique items that most stores just don't carry. The service is always friendly and welcoming--always a smile at checkout! The ambiance has a supermarket feel with the bonus of a small food court, which adds to the charm. The deals are consistently great, and it's quickly become one of my favorite spots to browse and buy.

A bunch of us ran here for dinner in the food court after a movie. This review is for the food court experience. One member of our group got fried chicken tenders (pictured), another a seafood soup, another fried rice cakes, and two of us had pho. We each obtained items from different vendors. I enjoyed the pho and everyone enjoyed their items. Overall decent food court experience. I especially liked that they had a few large sinks right at the beginning of the food court for hand washing so one doesn't have to go to the bathroom to do so. Very convenient and polite vendors. Clean tables and surroundings. Will try the market in the future!

This grocery store is very clean and has a nice selection on fruits and veggies.I bought the most fragrant and sweetest strawberries! Even my room smelled like strawberries! There's a bakery that sells fresh breads, pastries, and cakes. I bought a loaf of the family bread and it was very soft. There's also a good court that has an assortment of restaurants. You could eat at the tables provided or take your food to go. Ordered some spring rolls to go and was very pleased with the quality!

Be sure to dress warmly when you visit, as they definitely don't skimp on the AC! This is your typical Asian grocery store, but with a fun twist, they offer hot foods, boba teas, and a small bakery where you can pick up freshly made breads and cakes. While some items may seem a bit pricey, it doesn't seem to steer customers away, as the store is always busy. You'll find plenty of fresh fruits and veggies, a great selection of ramen, ramen bowls, and even some exotic reptiles and amphibians (if you're adventurous enough to try them!). It's a vibrant, busy place with a lot of unique finds that keep people coming back.

99 Ranch Market - Westbury, NY Boomsauce Score: BS ++ Walking into this 45,000-square-foot Asian grocery debuting in New York, you immediately feel the energy of a chain that's one of the nation's largest. The produce section? Spotless. Every head of lettuce and bundle of bok choy looked like it just arrived from the farm, and the prices made me do a double take--exceptional value for premium quality vegetables . Their aisles are stocked with over 10,000 unique items--from exotic snacks to specialty sauces--so you can fill your cart with everything from Mandarin dumplings to Korean barbecue marinades. Communication can be a bit of a puzzle when staff don't all speak English, but their eagerness to help shines through even with minimal words. Beyond groceries, you'll find mini restaurants, a full bakery, and even a Boba spot--Coco Fresh Tea & Juice. Skip Coco: they overcharge, pack zero friendliness, and don't respond to concerns. It felt like daylight robbery in tapioca form. Despite the one bad tea run, 99 Ranch Market delivers a game-changing selection of Asian goods right here in Westbury. Support local flavor adventures, stock your pantry, and let this place reshape your grocery expectations. - - - Boomsauce Scale | Rating | Meaning |---------|----------------------------------| | B | basura (trash) | | BS | basic (come on! Try harder) | | BS + | better (Yo! That's better) | | BS ++ | best (alright! Alright! Alrightttt!) | | BS +++ | Amazing location! now that's boomsauce! |

Upon first entering, you might confuse this place as your regular, run of the mill, grocery store! You would be MISTAKEN‼The selection of Asian foods is only comparable to the neighborhood of Flushing as a whole. As you ascend up the first aisle, it's easy to forget that the establishment you're now in was once part of the source mall. There's a Hot food deli and couple other eateries inside as well. Until I'm convinced otherwise, they have to be over charging on SOMETHING, to have prices so low on EVERYTHING .

Ask the Community - 99 Ranch Market

What time do the other restaurants there close? The one that has sushi or Xiao long bao? Are they open the same hours as the supermarket?

Staggered hours. Some open from mid-morning to close like Pho. But others close after lunch and reopen. Suggest you call ahead.

Are you allowed to bring pets?

Today I went in and perhaps it was the fact that it seemed to be all younger workers, I'm not sure. But I had the same guy ring me up today and the other day. Today he wasn't very friendly, and even walked away after handing me my receipt, leaving me to bag my items. As far as the food, the salmon stuffed with crab meat was so good! I had to get the salmon with lobster meat this time because I'm sure that's just as good!

Best part was finding the premium meats. A5 Wagyu, pichana steaks, sweetbreads, elk and bison meat just to name a few things. They also sell marinades, condiments, frozen fruit and vegetables. Beverages and salad toppings too. It's literally your local grocery store but better! This is the spot to grab proteins you need ahead of time for that BBQ you're planning or that family feast you will host. The variety is really the draw here. I saw lobster tails, scallops by the pound and coolest part, pre-made frozen goods for those that just want to thaw and reheat. That is great for when you didn't plan your meals ahead. I highly recommend this market for finding the unique, the premium, or for your everyday groceries. The model is simple: flash frozen, freshly sealed, and shipped or in this case, delivered to your local store. They own farms themselves, have huge bunkers and they work with the locals to source the goods.

It was a little frustrating and when picking up, I wasn't optimistic. I had to keep repeating Ufo roll probably 10x. Our actual order: yellowtail sashimi (10 pieces), 5 tuna & 5 salmon sashimi, tamago sashimi, Ufo roll, and spicy tuna inari. What we got- everything with exception of the spicy tuna inari. On the paper, it said spicy tuna nori. There isn't such an item by that name. They made us spicy tuna roll instead. Not terrible, but wish they had a separate number from the market. In terms of the freshness, quality is definitely on point. It's as fresh as you expect, I would compare it to Chelsea market. The only confusion is the Ufo roll. Suppose to have eel. Was eel mushed up with spicy tuna on top? Very confused. I think it was missing the eel. Overall, I am interested in ordering their large platters for parties. Too bad they don't have more exotic options like baby Hamachi, ikura, Toro, uni etc. Lastly, the market smelled clean. Would be very interested in purchase lobsters and some clam chowder next time. Maybe this will the fish monger I have been looking for close to home...
