Amazing sushi. Awful service. All you can eat sushi places are hard to find and I had to take a trip to this one. Despite the reviews about service, I gave it a shot. The only thing that saves this place is the food. I had to ask a few times about a few cooked items ordered that were not brought to the table. Fried rice was not the best and the spicy chicken salad was only a few pieces of lettuce with chicken over it and drizzled with what seemed like spicy mayo; quite unappealing. Here's the good: byob or byow no bottle opening fee. The liquor store in the shopping center has a very friendly staff and interesting selection, I have not often come across Russian champagne in this part of NY anyway! The food came fast. There was no wait for a table at 8pm on a Wednesday. That pretty much sums up the good. The bad: poor service. It's unforgivable when there's so much competition. The 'all you can eat' concept is a fun gimmick but I ended up spending more and getting less food. The sushi is about supermarket quality and the appetizers are sample portions. Also even though you've marked it on the paper doesn't mean you're going to get it. Three tries. For one literally one piece of vegetable tempura. They strongly advice PLEASE DONT WASTE FOOD but apparently don't give a damn about wasting all that paper! My order was quite modest at best, all vegetarian items in fact. When they decide you've had enough or it's 1/2 hour to closing they present you with the check. Nobody speaks to you. You write, they deliver, then voila check. Was in the mood for Japanese after getting off the train. They had some type of all-you-can-eat special when I walked in. That was a bad sign. A man had a take out order and was complaining that they never get his order right. Another bad sign. I ordered the sashimi. The fish was not fresh at all. The sushi was just okay; the rolls are tempting, but they are stuffed more with other ingredients than sushi itself. My main reason for two stars instead of three is as follows: I felt extremely awkward while I was here. When I walked in, one staff member eyed me up and down and then said something that I couldn't hear to another staff member. More employees were there than customers, and they were all lined up in the front talking and sometimes whispering in a secretive manner. One employee, whilst walking by my table, very obviously took a nice glance at what I was doing on my phone. Reviewing the all-you-can eat eating experience here, not the regular menu. This deserves 2.5 stars. It's not a pleasant dining experience. Send in multiple order slips with your order. Maybe half of what you ordered will come out of the kitchen. Send in another repeat slip, and it will disappear into the kitchen, never to come back. The wait staff here was very overworked on a Thursday night. Every table was packed, but the tables move quickly and the space is large, so wait time was short. Sushi was relatively good. I was definitely full at the end of my meal, and I got my $22 worth. But I've been to all you can eat sushi before where we actually got everything we ordered, and the meal was less frustrating. read more

I went to Sushi Time 560 today after my friend had recommended me to go for the last few months. It was a little hard to find was as it was located in a King Kullen (supermarket)shopping Center in Bethpage and the place was smaller than I imagined seating for about 40-50. I did not deduct Stars because its not something the establishment should be punished for, plus the Manager David was really nice and did give us really good directions. We were seated within 5-10 minutes. They do accept reservations (good to know for next time) We decided to do the buffet. As mentioned in previous posts the slips of paper were for the whole table and not individual, which didn't bother me since I was sharing with my Mom. The Vegetable Udon Soup was very refreshing. We had the pork gyoza which were delicious and not too oily. We also had the Chicken and Beef Satay Skewers. The coconut milk sauce that was used was quite tasty. When the Sushi came out I was glad we decided not to order the salad. This plate was huge. The deep fried Godzilla Roll was the clear winner. It was still hot when it was served and it almost melted in my mouth. We had also ordered Crunchy Spicy Salmon Rolls, Crunchy Spicy Tuna Rolls, Philadelphia Rolls, and my Mother had the Shrimp and Mango Rolls. As mentioned in a previous post it was somewhat difficult to identify which roll was which, but the waitress Joy was very kind and explained which rolls were which. Overall the service was really good and somehow I was able to eat dessert (still trying to figure out how) I had the Strawberry and my Mom had the green tea Ice Cream. The ice cream was typical nothing special about it but I am here to review Sushi which in terms of flavor and presentation receive full marks. read more

Definitely will get the best bang for your buck here as long as you do their all you can eat special for $20-$22 (depending on when you go). The quality of the sushi is slightly above average - which is great IMO for an all you can eat place. The quality of their service is a hit or a miss though. There have been times where they didn't bring out all the food that my table had ordered and even after letting the staff know about the missing food they still didn't bring it out for us. One last plus about sushi time though is that they are BYOB and only a few doors down from a liquor shop, so you could bring a nice bottle of wine to enjoy with your dinner. read more

WORST SERVICE EVER!!! We had a friend from out of state who wanted Bubble Tea. We researched online, found a site that said they serve it, CALLED THEM to confirm it so and was told, Yes, they do serve it. We drove 20mins to get there, waited 20mins to be seated, then as we were ordering we asked again about the tea. At first the waiter - who we found out was the manager - said yes they serve it, but then quickly changed his mind and said no, they have NEVER served it. Disappointed, we decided to stay anyway seeing as we had come all the way and waited so long for a seat. At this time there were only 3 tables seated including us. There were 4 of us in total at our table. When the food arrived 45 MINS LATER, two people only got 1/2 of their order and one person NEVER RECEIVED THEIR FOOD AT ALL. We had to ask the waiter to find our menu form - Yeah, they use this weird order form you fill out. It took them 10mins of frantic searching just to find the forms; the form for the person who never got any of their food was actually never found. Now we have been waiting for more than an hour for our whole order. We showed them that more than half of the order was missing and asked to just have the bill pro-rated for what we got so that we could just leave at that point. The manager - who doesn't speak English - couldn't understand what we were asking for, started to get mad at US for wanting money deducted from the bill, and threatened to call the cops!!! Finally a woman spoke to him in his language, he agreed to take a whole lousy $10 off the bill and then threw the bill at my husband. Needless to say, we gathered our things, didn't tip and refuse to ever go back again. I have never seen such foolery before. AND to top it all off, that night the three people that did eat all had stomach aches within 2hrs of leaving. DON'T GO THERE read more

I love sushi and would eat it everyday if possible. My first and last experience from Sushi Time 560 was terrible. I had the sushi delivered to my house. I ordered spicy tuna, salmon and scallop rolls, ginger salad and miso soup. When my order came the miso soup was absent. The salad consists of lettuce with a side of ginger dressing. The sushi was extremely fishy and the consistency was terrible. This is the first time in my life I wasn't able to finish my sushi. Will never go again and I do not recommend. read more

Ya know I came here when it first opened and I hated it... i know better to give places another shot after they had time to work a bit. And I am glad I did. I live in Bethpage and I try to never eat locally! But I was craving the all you can eat sushi menu that I have only found in places at least 10 miles away from me. So my mom and I stopped here. It is very simple. The food was pretty great. We got the typical appitizers like the amazing giner salad, cold noodles, edamame, etc. Oh and lets not forget the seafood skewers which were like crack to us. And most importantly the sushi tasted very fresh! I hate getting sushi that smells like a dirty fish.... ew. No this was very good, all the rolls were spot on and it came out so quickly! A very yummy meal Here was the problem: It took us literally about 25 minutes to get a glass of water, and they were not THAT busy. That was tad annoying especially because we were eating so much salty food we were dying for a drink! The other thing that really annoyed me was the fact that they did not bring us at least 4 things we checked off on our menu. Now I have to say this has happened before at other all you can eat sushi places. Do you think they do it on purpose? Like purposely not bring you stuff hoping you will forget you ordered it? I am not sure if it was just a mistake on their part or what. They also brought us the wrong thing a few times, or not the correct amount of something we ordered. The sushi was okay but the service was so horrible that I will never walk into this place again. I live 10 minutes from this place and wanted to try sushi somewhere local since we always drive to great neck for sushi but this place has the worst customer service in the planet. My daughter took a California roll from my "all u can eat plate" and that was the ONLY time the waitress came over to tell us we had to pay extra. I GET it. I dont mind paying extra but she is 5 years old-how many rolls is she going to have? So I ordered the extra rolls and she only eats One!! The issue is the waitess didn't refill our cups or asked us how we were doing. I dont care about the food if the service is horrible. I will never walk into that establishment again. Went with my girlfriend, sister and brother in law on 9-15-12...a great time as always! After placing our orders the massive platter of sushi they brought out for us looked really more like a work of art - delicious, delicious art! Been here so many times. The sushi is super good, but sometimes the service is lacking. I have gone with friends, and our entire order was given to a different table. We had to resubmit an order and it took foreverrr to get food. With that being said, I have been back to 560 sushi. $20 for all you can eat sushi (with a decent selection) is totally worth it read more

I regularly come here. The all you can eat options are average. That's easily overlooked since the service has been fast the past few times I've been to sushi 560. A plus is that it is BYOB with no bottle fee. The downside is that quite often, certain items ordered will be missing, which is the reason for the three stars vs. four. The waitstaff is nice, but most don't know English so communicating can be a challenge. Overall, solid place to go, but don't expect anything over the top. read more
