One of the best omakase restaurants in Seattle! Chef Suzuki and chef Rickie were both so nice and kept us involved during the dinner. Every course was so fresh and very well thought out. Definitely worth every penny! We will be back for another amazing meal soon!

Fish is all flown in from Japan, 3x/week; rice is the perfect texture and temperature. Service is excellent, and very friendly (shout out to Masa!). No complaints, no notes; can't wait to come back.

$200 per person @ sushi counter. Requires a $100 deposit per person, applies to your final bill. It's a 20 course omakase meal. They offer a 5 piece supplemental addition for extra cost @ the end (your choice which one to select, if any). We selected 4 out of the 5 pieces. The seared toro & wagyu was delicious - recommend getting both! Bonus points on offering Japanese Whiskey, which my husband loved. It was a wonderful experience, Chef Suzuki & his secondary chef were both amazing! Watching them prepare each dish was interesting & they are both funny/kind & interacted with all guests. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a very authentic/intimate experience. There are a couple tables, but def recommend sitting @ counter for full experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's our top 3 Omakase in Seattle - along with Ltd Edition, and Taneda. We would absolutely visit again!

To dine at Sushi Suzuki is an experience. The sushi chef Suzuki is the star performer; the dishes are the performance. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a dinner with a mini show as we watch Chef Suzuki and his sous chefs perform with knives, flame, oh my.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is a converted garage with an intimate 20 seats seating - 10 at the counter and 10 across 3 tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The best seats are at the counter (stating the obvious). I personally would not sit at the tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I chose the 5pm seating which had availability at the counter. Arrive a few minutes early please, which oddly, two groups arrived late. Everyone is served at the same time, so we need to wait for them. Two host/servers handled the group with ease and warmth. Prix Fixe Omakase - $200 pp before tax and tip (service fee). Is it worth it? Only you can answer that. The seafood came from all over, from Japan, or local, or New Zealand. The look and colors of every piece are magnificent. They taste incredibly fresh and are appropriately dressed (seasoned). The pace and sequence are thoughtful. This is my kind of joy, and yes, it's worth it to me. Their menu is seasonal. Our dishes on Nov 10, 2024: Sunomono of Hokkaido scallop and snow crab Tuna Tataki O-toro Handroll Matsutaki mushroom soup - This soup is made for 4 to 6 weeks every year in November when matsutaki mushrooms are foraged in the wild; these mushrooms can't be farmed. Kanpachi (aka Greater Amberjack) Sea bream Squid with caviar Local Spot Prawn with Uni 3 Toros: Akami, O-toro, Chutoro. This tuna was caught two weeks ago. Unagi over cucumbers Chawanmushi covered in seaweed for extra umami - a very hot dish (Cool) Veggie roll with a thin layer of mackerel to follow the hot chawanmushi King salmon from New Zealand - One more but forgot the type of fish Seared Barracuda Mini ikura don Uni handroll Tamago Mini matcha popsicle Added - Uni from Hokkaido Nigiri, $20 Added - Aburi Toro Nigiri, $15 Added - Genmaimatcha, $12

[[HIGHLIGHT]]My first impression here was 'This is awkward.' It was like stepping into someone's kitchen sitting around a counter with strangers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]No one spoke at first for lack of any kind of background music or other restaurant noise that would create a more private acoustic bubble.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This is my second omakase experience and compared to the first one I felt high quality pieces were served. But, if I may say so, it was just astronomically overpriced. For two we dropped $720 which included the omakase, one add on dish, some sake and beer. Of note, there is mention of sake pairings which I imagined as sake being served with the omakse. However, sake is extra, flights starting at $100. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I prefer more of a restaurant atmosphere myself and although I rated the sushi creations highly I wouldn't necessarily do this again.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We had an excellent meal here. With real Japanese, authentic and expert chefs, they present to you layers of delicate and subtle tastes. Each course is well thought through and has undertones that will please the palate. We had. Mackerel, sardines, salmon, several grades of tuna, hand rolls, nigiri, and a really wide selection of tastes on all of them. There aren't many places like this in the country. You should take advantage of this one [[HIGHLIGHT]]And the ambience is simple Japanese layout and decor, but it can get a bit noisy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service is definitely top-notch and very focused on keeping the customer happy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]You won't be disappointed. Just be prepared for a little louder than normal noise level[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Sushi Suzuki is such a LOVELY experience. I've been here a few times to take some friends visiting in town and it's always been such a hit. There is so much care into the sourcing of the fish, the preparation, and overall experience each time I'm here. They encourage interaction with the sushi chefs so I've learned quite a bit of how they prepare ingredients. Everyone here is so kind, the food is delicious, and each bite is always unique with special preparation for every single piece. They do require reservations but I have found I can still get some within the same week. Check a few days in advance and I've had pretty good luck getting in!

This place is a hidden gem in both a literal sense, having to navigate through a cute alley way, and in that it is incredibly easy to get a reservation here unlike other sushi restaurants in this price range. The ingredients were procured from all over the globe, and thoughtfully put together in a very thorough omakase experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is intimate and almost gives the feeling of being in someone's home, if that someone was very wealthy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service is very attentive but I would expect nothing less. If I could dock any points it would be that the sake pairing is priced fairly high compared to other restaurants in this price range. I'd opt for a glass and a beer over the pairing or a bottle. This is the place I go when I am craving high-end sushi last minute.

First date. Kinda nervous. Just joking. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is a small intimate environment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Paid a little extra to sit at the bar. Sitting at the bar was an experience of its own.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Prob about $10-20 more? either way, the presentation and food was amazing. A bit more affordable than some other places that charges more for a lot less.

We came here to celebrate my husband's birthday and they did not disappoint. From the food to the service, everything was excellent! The sushi was fresh with amazing flavors. During the whole dinner the chef would interact with the customers and allow us to ask questions.

It was a pleasant omakase experience watching the chefs making sushi at the counter. We loved most of the nigiris served that night especially the toro. The flavors were delicate and sushis were expertly crafted !!! The chefs were very friendly and service was top notch!!!!

A restaurant in a destination neighborhood; an entrance located down an alley; a restroom labeled "The Oval Office" and decorated with pictures of US Presidents, and a master sushi chef with a unabashed giggle - welcome to Sushi Suzuki. Our ever growing sushi scene is a sight to behold, but Sushi Suzuki is set apart with a fabulous combination of expertise and mirth I've not seen in other locations. It's an inviting and welcoming space, intimate without being cramped. The staff shows all the typical expertise knowledge I've come to expect in fine dining, but without any of the pretentiousness, aloofness, or serious formality that typically accompanies that knowledge. It was familiar, embracing, and welcoming. The food was delicious. It's a 20-course Omakase. Sure, it's small bites but much like the 7 sake flight we did to accompany the sushi, it all adds up. I left this very full and also a bit tipsy. With two ounce pours I more than likely would go with the 5 sake flight in the future! I'm not going to go into the detail into what I ate because it won't serve you - Chef Suzuki gets his fish fresh daily so I was informed the variety is so that it can be different items between seatings. Chef Suzuki is amazing. I had the privilege to sit across from him as he worked making expert cuts look deceptively easy. The nigiri is straight forward classics, but with subtle nuances that made every bite be spectacular. By far this is the best sushi I've ever eaten in Washington state and dare I say the best traditional Omakase I've had anywhere. It's not an inexpensive meal and with add-ons the price quickly climbs. Worth it! If I had to judge every other 5-star review I've given against Sushi Suzuki I fear most would fall short. Reservations are required and can be made on their website. Set your time because they open in one week blocks at 11 AM on Sunday and with only two seatings they can book fast. Once the word is out it may become quite challenging to get a seat!

Welcome Chef Suzuki! I'm so glad you came! Because damnnnn your creations are beautiful and delicious! A beautiful, tiny sushi establishment that is cutely tucked in interior Madison park. Which is nice, because... tons of free parking!!! I've eaten my fair share of omakase, and I must admit that Chef Suzuki brings something different to the table. Each piece has a hint, but not too subtle difference that makes each piece just that much more extraordinary! That extra ingredient was just what was needed to bring the extra umph and umami for your palate. Even the original egg custard was the perfect unique sonata to end this epic experience. Chef Suzuki will change his menu every week if he needs to keep his ingredients the most fresh and enticing. I enjoyed and relished each piece and I cannot wait to go back.

Ask the Community - Sushi Suzuki

How long is the omakase experience?

Our reservation was at 5pm. My last photo was about 6:30. About 1.5 hours total, partly depending on how long you linger. I believe they have two meal shifts per night, so just under 2 hours is the absolute maximum.

Will the seasonal menu ever be able to accommodate dairy free option? I would love to try but have a food allergy.

Check the menu photo on this site. It shows they cannot accommodate: vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free or rice-free.

I love this concept. I'm not much of a roll person bc it's always pricey and then you have to eat all 6-8 pieces, so this was right up my alley. We loved it so much, we came here 2x when we were in Seattle. And even our first time we had to get seconds. All the sushi from the beginning are rolls, and near the end they are nigiris. So save some space for the good stuff at the end. The first time during lunch hour, they kept restocking the sushi, and they even had bluefin tuna nigiri at the very end! Score!! I'm more of a nigiri person so I got half rolls and half nigiri. Of course this isn't like fancy restaurant sushi, but more of like casual dining sushi and bc there were so many people, it was fresh bc it was a high turnover. Sushi quality was decent. Reminded me of just like an AYCE sushi quality. You won't get sick, but don't expect Jiro Dream of Sushi quality here. lol. The other time we went was during dinner of 1 hour before they close, the selection wasn't as good as they didn't have bluefin tuna nigiri, but still worth it and didn't cost us an arm and leg to get sushi.
