I love Sushi and I am all for trying a new place, maybe not new in the sense its "recently opened" but new that I have never been. Came here for a Saturday lunch/ dinner with Mini-Me, service wasn't bad but it wasn't great, prices were more then I am used too, but weren't bad but it did limit my spending, but that sometimes happens when you go to a new palce on the fly... the fish tasted okay and the rolls had a good variety so no complaints saw a few Bento boxes go by and they looked appealing but I am not a bento box gal, I am all about the sashimi and sushi as is Mimi-Me. It does seem to get busy in the afternoon / early evening but I think its because of the location local patrons were friendly enough as were the chefs and wait staff. I will have to come back a few more times with friends and the rest of the family to get thier take on it, but its hard since we all have our own favorite local place that we are regulars and go to most often. Went here for the first time tonight. It was really good! We sat at the sushi bar, where we watched Matt prepare our sushi rolls. Everything was awesome and the staff members are very friendly. The wait wasn't bad at all either. Our bill was about $10 less than some of the other places we've gone, but the rolls were bigger than the others. Great service, atmosphere, servings and price. Great food, just took a star off because we have a 3 and 4 year old and weren't offered the table with toys next to it. They have an area with toys apparently you have to ask for it. While the seats were empty we weren't offered that table. I even said its cool you guys have toys. Note that would have been a time to ask me if I wanted to be seated there. I've been to a lot of sushi areas in the area, and this one is the best yet! I went with a couple friends and we all got vastly different things, each was unique In presentation and in taste! The food was high grade, unique, delicious, and most surprising to me, affordable! 3 meals only costed 45 dollars and the portions were rather large, each 8 decently sized sushi rolls. Add that with the complimentary dessert and inexpensive appetizers and it makes for a perfect night out. The ambiance of the location was amazing as well, though rather busy, it felt spacious, and comfortable, not too quiet nor obnoxious with the decor being unique. Compiled with their service, it was a truly wonderful experience, multiple servers going to each table, open to questions knowing the menu well, and non-pressuring to customers enjoying their meal. We are a regular of Sushi Boat; only need to remember to check-in on Yelp whenever we visit. Service is always fast and friendly. Most of the servers we encountered are super nice, albeit not all but we do understand there are bad days. Maybe they encountered rude customers or perhaps something drained their energy. Food is obviously catered to the American market, but is very close to the authentic Japanese cuisine. Our favorite is the sashimi, uni and soft shell crab. There are days I did not enjoy the shoft shell (fried too long, too crunchy); but most of the time it's perfectly cooked. My preference is always the light and crispy batter as how they always prepared it. I am not a big fan of sukiyaki overall or generally speaking; but theirs is flavorful. Their Beef ribs is one of the best. Soft, full of flavor and melt-in-your-mouth experience. If this is your first time to visit, order their Bento Box. You can choose two or three items. Nice atmosphere there is good seating outside the only problem is that every time I come here the rice is stale and the fish is par!!! If you really want sushi and you're already at the mall it's a tossup to come here if you can wait so just going somewhere else. My review is not related to their sushi. Their sushi is good. My review is in regards to an experience my wife & I just had. This spot was my wife's go to for sushi for the last 5 years. They close at 8pm on Sundays. We showed up at 7:35pm as we do every Sunday night when we come & unfortunately we were turned away for dine in by the owners; which was odd being we're regulars & come around 7:30pm on Sunday's 2-3 times monthly & there was only a few groups in there. I Walked past the restaurant again a few minutes past 8:15pm before leaving the mall & there was still multiple groups dining in. Just very strange experience . We gladly took our business to Gin sushi around the corner they gladly took our $100. While the sushi here is good I will never be coming here again & giving them money due to the service/ them not being reliable! read more

My choices were Salmon Teriyaki, Katsu Chicken and Tuna Rolls (6 pc.) . Each box comes with Miso soup, Salad and some Side Fruit. When my box came, I was literally so disappointed. Everything looked so sad and small. The salmon should've been called a Half Salmon Sliver Filet with Teriyaki Sauce. And the Chicken Katsu was literally all the crunchy batter and barely any chicken. We were sitting in the child section and my husband wanted to put teen titans on the TV for our son and the server had no idea how to work the tv or control. He asked her nicely to see the control since he knows how to use it and she completely ignored him and said it's not working . The funniest thing is that he got it working right after she left . Wait staff was attentive without being intrusive. After the meal we were all given a scoop of ice cream without asking! If I could give this place zero stars I would. Yesterday I placed an order worth $100 for Christmas dinner because I work night shift at the hospital and just didn't feel like cooking tonight. What we received was SO EMBARRASSING I honestly couldn't believe my eyes when I opened up the containers. I tried to stay positive and moved the sushi from the containers to a platter to make them look more presentable but they were all cold to the touch. My husband and I took one bite of a different roll each and they were SO fishy. The mangos on the top of my one roll were brown and the same with the avocado. I'm positive they made my rolls hours ahead of time and just let them sit on a table until I got there to pick them up. I called the restaurant to let them know that what we got was just not acceptable and they offered me a $10 gift card for my troubles. $100 worth of terrible sushi and here, you can have a $10 gift card. What an absolute joke. I am pissed and will NEVER order from here again. All the sushi ended up in the trash exactly where they belong. read more
