We walked in a weekday night and found the dining area quite small and full, except for their final open table next to the entrance. We took that spot and found out 'the hard way' they have those dastardly uncomfortable metal chairs. Not only is the seat firm and not cushioned, the bar that wraps around pinches in on your hip. We almost left but decided to tough it out. Our server was attentive and friendly and our order came out quite quickly. We ordered a few specialty rolls like their sweet potato roll, dragon roll and caterpillar roll. I also ordered a salmon sashimi. All of the rolls were well presented and best of all, tasty! It's not near the best sushi I've had, but it filled the craving we had. The wall murals and decor were simple but classy. We also noticed the noise level was good despite many people in a small space. Overall, this is a nice little neighborhood spot for sushi and worth a visit!

They also have fantastic happy hour and lunch specials that make it easy to stop by more often without breaking the bank. I honestly come back again and again for the spicy edamame and the spicy tuna on crispy rice -- both are absolutely amazing and packed with flavor. The spicy tuna on crispy rice is perfectly done every time, with just the right crunch and spice, and the spicy edamame is seriously addictive. I've also tried the tempura, shrimp tempura roll, miso soup, and several other rolls, and everything I've ordered has been fresh and delicious. You can really tell they take pride in the quality of their food. It's quickly become one of my favorite sushi spots, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for great sushi, awesome specials, and consistently friendly service.

I figured a Sunday afternoon would be calm, so I decided to pop in for a solo lunch. What I Ordered: - Yuzu Mule: The drink was delicious and refreshing, so I ordered a second one. Definitely order if I return as well. - Hamachi Lime Roll: This roll had an odd texture to me, and ultimately, I grabbed the rest to go as it was a little off putting to me. The flavor was decent though I found myself wishing there was more crunch with tempura flakes or panko bread crumbs on top. - Crazy Roll: The winner between the two rolls in terms of flavor and preference. Though, I wish this roll had the spicy mayo the other one had. I'd definitely order again and ask for a side of spicy mayo that I could add to the roll. Love the soy paper option! As for ambiance? I thought country music was an incredibly odd choice for this establishment hence the 4 stars versus 5 star review. I'd prefer more traditional Japanese music, or heck, even some J-Rock over American country music. I'm guessing Sunday afternoon is a slower time, so it was employee choice. Overall, I'd visit again when in the area and recommend to friends/family.

Course 1: Hamachi Peach Crudo peach amazu / pickled daikon/ smoked tomato oil / red pepper. This dish was right in my alley! I love Hamachi, and peach! And this is my first time having this combo in a crudo. It was many flavors all combined in one dish. 10/10 . **Please add this dish to your permanent menu! Course 2: Spicy Scallop Futomaki/hokkaido scallop / benishoga / chili crisp/ takuan / wasabi mayo. This roll tastes great, scallop tastes fresh and I love the way it was seasoned. However the rice around it was too much that I couldn't taste the scallop fully. I wouldn't get this dish again because of the rice around it was too much. Course 3: Ocean Trout Mi-Cuit/ okinawa potato croquette / citrus cream/fried capers / crispy salmon skin. I love the cream and the capers in this dish. The fish is seared. Although not much flavor in the fish itself but because of the sauce, it complements the dish well. Course 4: Dessert - Yuzu Lychee Sorbet/vanilla whisky hojicha granita. Oh my gosh, this is my favorite dish! It was so good and refreshing! The yuzu sorbet was tart and creamy. And the hojicha ice underneath was delicious! I would come back to the restaurant just for this dish and the first dish!

Our…read moreserver was great and really helped us figure out what to order since there were a lot of options on the menu. She was super attentive too and kept refilling our drinks throughout the meal. We tried a mix of specialty rolls and more basic rolls. Most of the specialty rolls were around $15 each, while the basic rolls were under $10. The spicy tuna rolls were especially good for the price because they were cheap, but still came out huge. Overall the portions were very generous and the prices weren't bad at all. I got the Hell Fire roll and it definitely lived up to the name. I handle spicy food really well and even for me this thing was extremely spicy. It was almost painfully hot, but honestly I kind of enjoyed the challenge, It was also really good besides just being spicy, so I'd definitely get it again. The inside also had a cool vibe with all the colorful lighting and it wasn't too busy when we went which was nice. Most of our sushi came out almost immediately. The fried rolls understandably took a little longer since they had to be made fresh. My only small complaint is I wish everything would of came out closer to the same time, because some of us already had food while we were still waiting on the fried rolls. Overall, really good food, huge portions, fair prices and great service, definitely a spot I'd come back to.

Rolls are smaller and taste like grocery store sushi rather than quality restaurant sushi. The sauces are different and used way more sparingly, the cuts of the ingredients are inconsistent. The rice tastes cheaper and the fish and fruits are unrecognizable. The Baja roll and Primo rolls use to be my favorite rolls anywhere. I ordered both and I honestly couldn't even finish the Baja roll. Cheap fish, canned fruit, almost no sauces. I'd honestly rather pay $25 a roll to have the old rolls back rather than these new versions. Sadly, I probably won't ever return unless they go back to the old level of quality for their rolls. RIP.

The first time I came was when they originally opened, so had a few hiccups and sushi was okay. Now years later, I would have expected better quality fish, rolls, the way they cut their fish etc. Unfortunately, nothing has changed. Came with a friend, she said she enjoyed this place. I ended up ordering two rolls for myself. Can't remember the names now, but the rolls were flavorless even with sauces that went on top (I actually asked for more and still didn't have much flavor), the cuts of fish were very skimpy/thin and uneven, my sushi rolls themselves also lacked ingridients inside and were so small. As shown in my pictures. I ended up taking the left overs home to show my spouse and to see what he thought, thinking maybe my taste buds were off, and I was being extra and he was in shock that I actually ate some of it and didn't say anything. For rolls costing $15+ I would hope for a bit thicker cuts of fish since that's what I'm paying for, not closer to paper thin... I was truly so disappointed.

We arrived a little early, so they told us we could sit at the bar & have a drink. We sat there for 15+ minutes & the girl getting things ready for the bar totally ignored us. Right before we were seated someone else took our drink order & said she'd bring them to the table. Hubby got a beer & I got a Tito's & cranberry juice. We ordered an appetizer. While we were waiting they sat another 4 with us. We all expected dinner & a "show", but none of us expected the show we got. One of the staff started screaming at another staff member. We had no idea what the female staff member was saying since her words were not in English. She was so loud & screaming in the bar area so the entire restaurant could hear her. A couple of staff members tried to claim her dow. This went on for several minutes. It was crazy. All us customers were silent & just looking at the girl screaming & yelling. The next thing we know, round two. It was unbelievable. What was even crazier was they didn't send the staff member home! No one came over & said a word. No one apologized or said anything. After all of this, they sat couple with us. Finally the chef came to the table. By this time it was 20 til 6:00. Hubby got the filet with fried rice. I got the shrimp with fried rice. The food was good. However, hubby's steak was over cooked. Thankfully, hubby told the chef he wanted to change the steak from medium to medium rare, or it would have been even more over cooked. I also watch all of the employees but one prepping the food without gloves. This used to be our go to place for, but now with all this issues this time, we will probably have to find a new place.
