The coffee is easily some of the best in Carlsbad, smooth, flavorful, and genuinely good enough to drink black. And the donuts! I don't even like donuts, so the fact that I'm still thinking about the one I had here says a lot. Absolutely incredible. They even had an adorable little doggy donut for my pup, which obviously won me over even more. Natalie, the manager, is wonderful. She is so sweet, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. You can tell she cares about the experience people have when they come in. Amazing coffee, dangerously good donuts, something special for the pups, and lovely people. The Goods is definitely a Carlsbad must.

Good variety of flavors/combos - they all looked delicious. What makes these doughnuts special (IMHO) is that they have a light crust that adds texture while inside is not dense or "cakey". We tried the mini-doughnuts, the Strawberry Shortcake and their signature French Toast. Soooo tasty - and I am not a donut guy, for the record. The service was fast and the gent behind the counter was pleasant enough. Small seating area right outside (I don't think I recall seeing seating inside because I was MAD focused on the doughnuts lol) and the interior decor felt warm and inviting. I was really impressed with these doughnuts and would DEF eat them again. Super HQ offerings here. One of the better donuts I've tried (on par with some of the better places I've been to in LA and NYC).

The Windmill Food Hall was between us and the beach, so we thought mini donuts would be perfect. We were there around 8something in the morning and most of the food hall is closed and empty at this point with the exception of a coffee place up front. This is toward the back, right before you turn the corner. They had a variety of flavors out and available since it was early and we decided to go with a 12 pack and pick 6 flavors each. Overall, we got the chocolate sprinkles, chocolate, cinnamon toast crunch, fruity pebbles, maple, churro, and glazed. I loved every bite! I figured because they were mini donuts that they would be more of a cake texture which I'm not the biggest fan of, but to me it felt like a mix between cake donut and normal donut. It wasn't too dense and heavy, still felt very light but substantial. I loved every flavor I got, but I think my favorite was the glazed and the fruity pebbles. We also got the chocolate milk and like an orange creamsicle type of milk. Overall, this was a great stop! It traveled well to the beach, kept us filled up for a bit, and tasted really good on top of that. Service was also very nice. If we lived here, I would absolutely come back.

Out of all the food stalls at Windmill Farms, this feels like one of the most affordable options, which is a huge plus. "Boy what you looking for? You know where them cookies are…read moreYeah, I caught yo' ass red-handed in that cookie jar" (Doja Cat) It's a tough call to decide what was better. The incredibly sweet woman behind the counter who helped us with a dessert order for a family dinner for twelve, the sheer beauty and variety of the baked goods in her store, or the 20 amazing cookies we ended up buying. The Carlsbad Bakery has been around for 40+ years specializing in Danish and French pastries, quiche, cupcakes, cakes, and too many eye-popping things to list. We walked over on a Friday and after talking to the proprietor decided that a variety of cookies would be the way to go. What wasn't easy was deciding what type of cookie, because their big chocolate chip, pistachio, almond, cherry, and peanut butter cookies all looked beyond amazing. We decided on a box of 20 mixed cookies ($52.90) and returned the next day to pick them up. My Sweet Lord, the box was as heavy as a bowling ball and was warm with freshly baked cookies. The intoxicating aroma penetrated the carton and filled our hotel room. When they were served at dinner, people's eyes popped out of their heads because they were so gorgeous. I managed to restrain myself and limited my dessert to one pistachio cookie that was fantastic. Of course, all of my cousins wanted to know where we found these amazing cookies. Thank you, Carlsbad Bakery, for such a fantastic customer experience. Your store is beautiful, and your product is extraordinary.
