So this little cute shop is located in Carlsbad Village. We came on a Saturday morning at around…read more11am and it was pretty easy to find parking . There was a large lot maybe 1 block away that we parked at and then walked in from there. Inside, there was a line but it moved pretty fast. The donuts on display look so gooddd, we had to try one even though I was originally there for coffee. Person behind the donut area was really nice with great customer service! Cashier was the same! They have a little water stand you can get some water from too which was nice after chowing down on the donut. The donut itself was so good. Right amount of fluffiness and taste and crispiness. I'm still thinking about the donut and how good it was. I will come again one day.

The donuts are still beautiful and food good but their service has really gone downhill…read more Two girls at the counter chatting when I walked in. It took a moment to get their attention. I smiled and commented on the donuts and that broke their gossipy reverie. One immediately walked away like she couldn't be bothered to work, only a paid gossiper. There was no one in the store other than me. She rung me up with a flat attitude like she just got out of jail and was miserable. Her name is Bre. I ordered a dirty chai. With two other items. She wouldn't give a to go box like they usually do. It came off super cheap. She told me to just cover it with a lid even tho I told her I had a dog in the car that would eat it and it was chocolate sprinkle. Traditionally they stop and make the coffee and then move on to the next guest. She was in a really bad mood so she kept taking donut orders until about 5 guests deep. Then she got 2 other coffee orders so she stopped to make coffee. About 10 to 15 minutes after I paid for my other order she makes my dirty chai. A kid and a mom are right by the counter. The kid grabs my drink and spills it on the counter and on the floor. She sees this. It's right in front of her. She says oh no that's not yours. Then she wipes it off and tries to pass it off to me like I didn't see. I said no, you're not going to re make it? She goes no, it's not my fault he spilled it. I was like I want a refund. She goes why. I'm like the drink spilled and you didn't even offer or try to remake it. This place had really gone downhill. Service is awful. The donuts look nice but they've been sitting out and are stale. The same with crossaint I had. I would not go back here anymore. Awful experience. Drove out of my way to come here today. It's a shame. This place used to be really friendly and fresh and top of the line customer service, Management needs to rework things before they completely go downhill but it seems they are already there.

At first, a lot of flavors seemed run of the mill and not quite to my preferences but eventually I saw the dreamsicle which was absolutely up my alley. The citrusy glaze was really tasty and the bit of vanilla drizzle was just enough to give it that creamy undertone to check the dreamsicle box. I personally think it was still a bit too sweet for my liking overall but that hot crispy donut texture was...*chefs kiss*! Would recommend as a $3 treat!

What really sets them apart is that the donuts are made fresh when you order them. You can literally taste the difference! They're always warm, soft, and incredibly delicious. We also love that we've never had an issue finding parking, which makes stopping by quick and easy. On nice days, we enjoy taking our donuts outside to eat, and it's become a fun little tradition for our family. Even our toddler looks forward to our donut stop here every time we're in town! The quality, freshness, and friendly service keep us coming back again and again. If you're in Encinitas and craving a great donut, this place is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommend!

Every flavor feels simple yet incredibly satisfying, with each bite making an impact. My favorite was the Pebble Toast Crunch flavor (if I got the name right!) it was amazing. The customer service was warm and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Out of all the food stalls at Windmill Farms, this feels like one of the most affordable options, which is a huge plus. The bathrooms were clean, and while parking can be challenging on weekends, weekday visits are much easier. I've only been to Windmill Farms a few times, but this spot definitely makes me want to come back more often!

The lady who took my order was nice and friendly. The food hall has lots of seating , mostly casual benches and tables. The mini donuts we got were churros and sugar, the texture told me that was not freshly made, meanwhile these two flavors we got with the identical dough flavor, also the churros' texture is the same as sugar. Not very impressed by its flavor or texture, but I do like the cute size donut.

Great service by Aadan!…read more Came with a small kid who he offered some Sidecar stickers to. I know that's not a thing to hand these labels out but every kid loves stickers! I was also debating the size of chocolate milk for my kid and ordered small and got confirmation from Aadan that small would be the ideal choice for kids. Excellent iced Banana Bread Latte. Couldn't detect any banana bread flavor to it but as someone who does not like standard "plain" lattes, it was good coffee! Kid inhaled a Vanilla Bean Glazed and I had the Blueberry Cheesecake doughnut (both yeast doughnuts) for lunch (yes for lunch!) and I usually do not like eating more than a quarter of a doughnut even as dessert. I was hesitant to get the Blueberry Cheesecake because I saw the giant blob of cream on top but it was more like whip cream than actual cheesecake and sweet enough to compliment a doughnut without being heavy and overly sweet like actual cheesecake. I also like the dollop of blueberry preserves on top. The yeast doughnut was plump airy goodness. We didn't need it, but I appreciate that this shop always has free cold water available for guests. This is one of my few Treat Yourself places.

For me, it's a combo of the texture and just the taste. Plus, the price is outrageous (over $4.00 per donut). I also got an almondmilk matcha and also did not like it. Overall, I hate to say it, but given the price, wait, and quality of the donuts, I would NOT recommend this place.

The cashier let me know that the apple fritters I was looking at were fresh out of the oven and still warm, so I had to try those and they were the best apple fritters I've ever had! But we also tried their blueberry cake donuts, maple bars, glazed old fashions, and a few others and all were very soft, luscious, and just a perfect version of that type of donut. I have high standards for baked goods and it only took touching one of their classic sugar covered donuts and feeling just how pillowy soft it was to know they have an amazing rise and fantastic quality. I will be returning here from now on for all my donuts!! The shop is cute inside too. They have small tables for eating your purchase afterwards and offer coffee and tea.
