Close to the grandkids house for a Saturday morning treat. Easy parking with a decent selection of donuts. We ordered a dozen mixed and added dozen donut holes as well. I love this place and don't understand the low scores. My biggest requirement for donuts is that they be fresh and moist. Yeah, l said it, moist. A lot of people don't like that word but it cannot be emphasized enough when it comes to donuts. The very LAST thing l wanna eat is a dry and stale donut. I've been to a few donut places around this area and they've all been slightly hard and dry donuts. No thanks. Our friends happened to bring us donuts from here one day and I was blown away because they were so fresh tasting and satisfying to bite into. Like little pillows of heaven. I am super picky with my donuts and so are my kids. We all love the donuts we get from here. As far as the woman who runs the shop, she's always been super nice to me. She is a hustler. When l say that, l mean she is trying to sell her donuts. I ordered about 8 donuts and she goes, "And?" And l said one more and she says, "And?" It's comical because it reminds me of the movie "Dude Where is My Car?" When they go through the drive through and the person behind the speaker keeps saying "And then?" After every item. Hahaha. It made me rethink my entire life choice of not being a big cake donut fan. I would definitely order some here in the future. This donut shop is a hole in the wall but that doesn't deter me in the slightest. I don't care how nice (or not) a donut shop looks. I am not there for sitting in it to eat my donuts. I strictly buy them and take them home. That being said, it's a small place and they have TWO decent sized cases of donuts. A fact l forget each time l go because one case doesn't face the area customers walk into so you wouldn't see it unless you go farther into the establishment. They also have a case for drinks and they have a decently large selection. I went in one time and the lady ordering ahead of me was wanting something she didn't think they had. I took a quick look and saw what she was searching for. It was just behind another drink. But their selection is vast. Their store is small and they do have a lot of items so it looks a bit crammed sometimes but the place was decently clean and has an A rating on their window. So l don't have any issues with eating donuts from here. If you want a good fresh donut in the area, this is your place. This place is alright. Prices are kinda like any other donut shop. This one is tucked to the right of Stater Bros. It's probably one of the very few donut shops that are open later than 2 or 3pm. You'll find your best donut selection in the early AM & a diminished selection if you come later in the day (i'm sure everyone knows how that goes). I don't think I've ever written a negative review, but this place earned it. 1 star because even though the doughnuts were tasty, though not better than any other doughnut place, that's where it ends for me. I called on a Wednesday evening, because I was planning on bringing a bunch of doughnuts to work for my students. I asked if they thought there would be enough tomorrow morning for me to pick up 5 dozen regular donuts, not cake. The lady said yes, but sounded stressed and panicky, and asked me to pay over the phone, which I did not want to do. I told her I would be there between 7:50 and 8:00 am. The next morning I came in, and as soon as I said I was the girl who called about getting 5 dozen doughnuts, she berated me for not answering my phone that morning because she had called me to see if I was coming. I explained that I was getting ready for work and didn't see a call, and she kept telling me I need to learn to answer my phone from now on, which was unwarranted, especially since I'm a new customer. She took almost every other customer that walked in before me, while my mom and I stood there waiting. There was also a man who was taking customers, and yet we still had to wait for a really long time. My mom wanted to leave, but I decided to stick around and give them a chance to redeem themselves. The lady started packing my doughnuts before I could even tell her what I wanted. I told her I was okay with every kind of doughnut as long as it wasn't cake doughnuts, just as I had said the night before over the phone, and she was very upset and then refilled my box. Service took forever, and I ended up coming late to work. The whole experience took 25 minutes, when it very well could have taken much less time. What irritated me the most was the fact that they took so many customers that came in after me before me, and that I was reprimanded for not answering my phone, especially when I was about to shell out $50- $60. I won't be coming back, and I definitely do not recommend this place. Terrible service. read more

I've read a lot of the reviews and a lot of the customers seem spoiled or expect top tier grade A, New York restaurant quality donuts. I got a coffee, glazed donut and a glazed old fashion and I'm currently in my car eating them and writing this review. I can tell you right off the bat that this is a pure example of handmade donuts, doesn't taste factory made and doesn't taste frozen. The donuts were decently sized and soft in the inside. I never put cream or sugar in my coffee and their coffee is a delicious medium roast that perfectly pairs with their sweet donuts. It's great to support small family business, and I plan on supporting this business for now on ! read more

Despite reading reviews about this place having bad customer service, I went because it was on my way to work this morning. As soon as I stepped up to the counter, I felt rushed even tho I was the only person there. I ordered a dozen donut holes & after she bagged them, she practically threw them towards me onto the counter. After I paid, she gave me my cash folded up, so I opened it to recount. I couldn't quite understand what she was saying when she saw me counting, but she pretty much accused me of calling her a liar and to just take my money and go. So collectively there were two shelves or about 8 types of donuts. When I told the lady I thought I was going to pass she began to pressure me saying "Common, buy something!!!" Went here today because we wanted to avoid Star*ucks. Just wanted a bagel with cream cheese and an iced mocha. Yes they had the bagel but the lady really wanted us to also buy a ham n cheese croissant. No mocha so we got hot chocolate. When I took the lid off to add some milk, it broke so I put a new one on it. The lady scolded me and reminded me that she had already put a lid on it. A few months ago.. I was waiting in line... and then called to be helped with my dozen donuts. I happened to also be the last in line and no one was behind me. In the middle of me selecting my dozen donuts, a regular customer comes in behind me .. and without excusing herself... the lady who was helping me (I had chosen 6 donuts by this point) starts helping the person behind me (a return customer)... and gets his coffee and lets him pay for his items. 1) I was appalled... I mean the guy acts like this is normal and doesn't tell the lady helping me 'no, it's all right.. help her first she was in line first 2) when I addressed it with the lady that it was rude she yells back at me and says I am rude... what?? So this place endorses cutting .... especially for regular customers. I decide to give them a try again 2 or 3 weeks ago since I was in the area. Who knows... maybe new management? I order my favorite donut, a French cruller. I make my purchase and go around the corner to buy stamps at the post office. I bite into it... thinking it's oddly soggy... and guess what??? The dough inside wasn't cooked through... so... yes, it was raw dough. I didn't bother going back to have it addressed, since 1) it is about a $1 loss 2) the rest of the batch is probably that way.... I've never had an undercooked French cruller before.... wowz. They deserve a 1 star... they may be worth a 3 star to a return customer as mentioned above. But to me, that was a waste of time at the first incident, and a waste of money for the second incident. read more
