Bacon egg and cheese croissant sandwich
Kathleen T.

Mr. Donut is a hole in the wall donut shop. I really like their croissant breakfast sandwiches. My boyfriend said classic glazed was good. I tried their sprinkled cake donut and the cake was moist! Customer service was great! I didn't even have to tell the owners to cut the sandwich in half because they already did!

Best breakfast sandwich. Buttery croissant with egg, bacon, cheese, jalapeño and mayo. - A croissant breakfast sandwich is shown, cut in half to reveal layers of egg, bacon, cheese, and jalapeño. The croissant appears golden and flaky, with the ingredients inside. The sandwich is held in a person's hand, with a blurred background.

If you want a great donut and croissant breakfast sandwich, then look no farther. It's just a little while in the wall donut place but it's by far one of the best. Every donut we have bought is fresh and tasty. But our go to is the croissant bacon, egg, cheese, jalapeño and Mayo breakfast sandwich. I think it has to do with their croissants. Buttery and super flaky. Eating in your car is not advisable unless crumbs every where aren't a problem. If you're just in the mood for a croissant, then buy at least two of their massive ones. Thankfully this donut shop is t down the road or I'd be in big trouble.

Bacon, sausage, egg n cheese sandwich on a bagel - A sandwich with melted cheese, ham, and bread is held in a person's hand, wrapped in white paper. The sandwich appears to be freshly made, with cheese visibly melted and oozing out. The background includes a brown fabric surface and part of a black car seat or steering wheel, indicating the photo was taken inside a vehicle.

Every time I've come the food/coffee is amazing, these higher corporate chains have got absolutely nothing on this beautiful business. The service is always polite and speedy! As much as I'd love to keep this place to myself an establishment like this should be shared and enjoyed by all!!

a person holding a sandwich - A sandwich featuring lettuce, tomato, pickles, ham, and bread is shown, wrapped in white paper and held over a dark wooden table. The sandwich appears freshly made with various vegetables and deli meat, with toasted bread slices. The background includes a dark surface and some paper or packaging materials.

The food is absolutely amazing! You are always greeted with a smile & great service. I would give this place a million stars if I could!

My fiancée & I had seen Parlor Doughnuts numerous times after the Oceanside Sunset Market. & every single 1 of those times, we were already too full from grazing at all the food stands by then to give it a try. So on a Saturday afternoon, when we just happened to be nearby, we popped in for some impulse buy doughnuts. With a staggering variety of delicious looking toppings/ flavors, the possibilities looked enticingly intriguing. Staff behind the counter was friendly attentive, & helpful. Although there are some savory options available, which seemed to me like pizza toppings on doughnuts, we stuck with sweet: maple bacon & bourbon caramel. Tried & true flavor combinations, both. But the dough, whoa. For starters, the 2 doughnuts we got didn't have holes. That actually makes a difference in how the doughnut cooks. Secondly, the dough ate more like bread dough than a doughnut. Doughnuts have a hole for a reason. You see, it's physics, son. When you consider how thermodynamics affects an oblate spheroid vs. a toroidal sphere, it becomes evident that a doughnut without a hole will not cook evenly throughout inside. In fact, this was specifically proven on MasterChef Canada Season 8, Episode 8 during a doughnut pressure test. In that episode, Andres forgot to put holes in his doughnuts & they were undercooked in the center. Hey, I did start this review with admitting I'm a nerd who watches too many cooking competition shows. Uniform doneness aside, there was also the breadiness. If I'd been told these doughnuts were some kind of new take on Pan Dulce, maybe I would've liked them more. But given the expectation of a doughnut, what I tried at Parlor Doughnuts just wasn't it. The staff was great, & the toppings were fine. But with the word "dough" literally in the name of the product, to come up short there leaves something to be desired.

I assume they make a certain amount and when they're gone they close and that's probably the way most places do it. Donuts were good, not greasy. I'm not a big donut person so they were ok and comparable to most places that don't have a greasy donut that leaves that oily taste in your mouth. What I really came for was the ham and cheese croissant but it was a little disappointing. Prices were actually much higher than I was expecting. We paid almost $20 for a ham and cheese croissant, blueberry cheese danish and 6 donuts including a cinnamon twist thing that I assume was supposed to be more than the others but I can't wrap my head around $18.30 for what we ordered. I legit think she charged me for 15 donuts instead of 5 cuz I saw something ring up as 15. Based off that I can confidently say I won't return. Items werent worth what I paid and if it was an error charge, the employee should have known that what I ordered was not close to $20 so I cant recommend this place

The cashier let me know that the apple fritters I was looking at were fresh out of the oven and still warm, so I had to try those and they were the best apple fritters I've ever had! (Fresh is always better, of course). But we also tried their blueberry cake donuts, maple bars, glazed old fashions, and a few others and all were very soft, luscious, and just a perfect version of that type of donut. I have high standards for baked goods and it only took touching one of their classic sugar covered donuts and feeling just how pillowy soft it was to know they have an amazing rise and fantastic quality. I will be returning here from now on for all my donuts!! The shop is cute inside too. They have small tables for eating your purchase afterwards and offer coffee and tea. It's a small mom and pop shop, surprisingly clean and more modern than a regular donut shop. The donuts look amazing but wasn't here for that. Went straight to the cake display. Staff were friendly as well. In small plaza as Mannas.
