Amazing donuts. Super fluffy and fresh. I came early in the morning for a mixed dozen + a bear claw and they were honestly the freshest and fluffiest donuts I've ever had. I love artisan donuts like sidecar donuts etc but these were even better! I stopped by here be sheer happenstance as I was in desperate need of coffee and wouldn't mind a donut. After having a sip of the really good coffee and talking to the super friendly woman behind the counter I ended up getting a dozen for the family and we are all very happy. In fact, they make small bags of donut holes for $1 to enjoy on your ride home in the car with your coffee...these are my people. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! read more

We came on the weekend around 9 am and these guys were super busy. Happy to see that! We usually go for a different donut shop in town and wanted to try something new. I asked for a couple of danishes and donuts but the danishes weren't the open faced kind I'm used to. They seemed like folded up croissant dough with almost no filling in either the strawberry or the cheese one and the donuts were just okay. New arrival to the city of vista, been here just a little over a year. Let me tell ya as someone who has mostly grown up near mom n pop donut shops, Danish & Donuts has continuously exceeded my expectations and satisfied all my craving both in form of delicious croissant sandwiches and soft fluffy the absolute best donuts. Susie, Annie and staff are always so welcoming and doing their best to keep all their guest happy. I appreciate all the work they do for the surrounding community as well. Open during COVID19. The customer service here is amazing! The woman working the counter was so friendly and chattery. When we picked out our 12 donuts (we originally came for 8, but she told us it would be a better deal/discount if we got a dozen). We are fans of yeast donuts so all 12 we chose were yeast. She was helpful in recommending different options and flavors and since she notice we didn't choose any cake donuts, she threw one in for free! It was so sweet of her! We also decided to get the boba slushees. We originally wanted milk tea, but the slush was so good and sweet! The boba was also pretty good quality. The donuts were good, but not particularly fresh (we went around 10AM on a Saturday. I would love to come back to just support this small shop! read more

I beleive her because you can taste the quality in her donuts and croissant. She makes sure she picks the best ingredients for her sandwiches. If it wasn't for the ridiculously overpriced McDonald's in the same plaza, I wouldn't have ever known about this place. I'm not sure if it's inflation, or just free market capitalization, but $7.89 for an "Extra Value Meal" at MCDONALD'S?!? $8... am I required to leave tip on that too? Wow... I felt like I've been out of touch with society, or at least McDonald's prices. What's a gallon of milk go for now, like $50? Anyways, after I saw the prices at this particular McD's I looked around at what else was in this plaza. There was an El Salvadorean restaurant, which I thought to myself it's probably just lighter cleaner Mexican food. There was a Mexican market, and a cafe. I didn't feel like spending $10+ at a cafe, so I saw that there was a place called "Danish & Donuts" tucked in the corner of the plaza. Funnily enough the night before, I had just had a discussion with a friend about how the danish was really the start of my culinary career. See, back in first grade when I was a wee 6 year old, my mom told me to make my own sandwich so I did. Being the 6 year old that I was, I put whatever I wanted in my sandwich. Those 2 things happened to be strawberry jam, and cheese. Of course back then my mom yelled at me for making such a ridiculous sandwich and for the rest of my childhood I thought I was a failure as a sandwich maker. But later on I realized I had actually re-created the classic Dutch pastry. In any case, I had Danish on my mind and there it was, Danish and Donuts. So I walk on in and a little old Asian lady greets me and helps me in choosing which delectable pastry I wanted. I opted for the strawberry danish and was merrily on my way. The danish itself was good. Nothing spectacular, though leaps and bounds above my first edible creation. It was flaky, it wasn't too sweet, and overall it was your typical Dutch custardy goodness. I would have rated it about a 3 to 3.5 star. But what really made me decide to give Danish and Donuts 4 stars was that when I reached into my wax paper bag, there was a little sample donut. I didn't ask for it, but there it was. A little bitesize piece of donut that said "I know you wanted a danish today, but please come back another time and enjoy our donuts. I value your business." The little old lady didn't have to say it to me, but all of that was communicated to me through that bitesize piece. With mega Walmarts and the McD's of this world taking over, there is little room for mom and pop stores that create that atmosphere of valued patronage. But there is Danish and Donuts. read more

We normally get donuts from our old place back home which is about an hour and a half drive, give or take, and just couldn't find any donuts that are the same flavor & texture-wise here until a friend told us about Danish & Donuts. We don't usually come to this side of Vista, but when we do, we make sure to stop by here because these are the only donuts that we enjoy in the area! & Plus, the people who work there are all very friendly! :) read more

The ham and cheese croissants where pretty good but my only complaint which is totally based on preference where the solid real slices of jalapeños. I am use to the soft jalapeños melted inside. She also gave me some free donut holes as a surprised when I opened the bag. Good snack on the way home hungry. However, the donuts are much smaller in comparison to the other donut shops I have been to around the are. My belly is satisfied! read more

I don't actually like donuts all that much, but I have to pick them up for work now and again, and this place is walking distance from my house. Self-serve coffee and quick service. As can be expected, the lines get long around 7:30 am. There isn't a lot of seating, a few people will come and enjoy the paper but most folks grab-and-go. Prices are great! I've only tried the donut holes (which were great), but no complaints from my coworkers on the donuts! read more

I will NEVER go to this place again! The staff ignored me for the first few minutes, although they were not busy. The old woman that finally helped me started helping a man that was clearly a regular, before finishing my transaction. They charge 75¢ to use a bank card, that's like the cost of another donut. Huge rip off!! I don't care if the bank charges them, that's the cost of doing business!!! Why should the customer absorb that cost...that's unethical. Furthermore, the donuts are average, I will never support this place again!! Froggy's on Vista Way is way better & has a friendly staff. read more

The cookie was huge, yes, but nothing that beats the moist and chewy cookies I make myself at home, which I can't currently do since my kitchen is beinf remodeled. I asked my son on his bougie donut, later in the day, and he did the so-so hand and gave it an ok and dry. At end: we will stick to SK for service and quality.

They have a massive selection to choose from, and I ended up trying the French Toast donut. It had that exact light, pillowy, croissant-like texture the other guest mentioned. I also loved that it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet like donuts from other shops can be. It was so light that I enjoyed it in the morning and still had plenty of room for breakfast afterward. My only regret is that I didn't have a bigger group with me--I wish I could have ordered a bunch of different flavors to share. I'll definitely be back for more!

My fiancée & I had seen Parlor Doughnuts numerous times after the Oceanside Sunset Market. & every single 1 of those times, we were already too full from grazing at all the food stands by then to give it a try. So on a Saturday afternoon, when we just happened to be nearby, we popped in for some impulse buy doughnuts. With a staggering variety of delicious looking toppings/ flavors, the possibilities looked enticingly intriguing. Staff behind the counter was friendly attentive, & helpful. Although there are some savory options available, which seemed to me like pizza toppings on doughnuts, we stuck with sweet: maple bacon & bourbon caramel. Tried & true flavor combinations, both. But the dough, whoa. For starters, the 2 doughnuts we got didn't have holes. That actually makes a difference in how the doughnut cooks. Secondly, the dough ate more like bread dough than a doughnut. Doughnuts have a hole for a reason. You see, it's physics, son. When you consider how thermodynamics affects an oblate spheroid vs. a toroidal sphere, it becomes evident that a doughnut without a hole will not cook evenly throughout inside. In fact, this was specifically proven on MasterChef Canada Season 8, Episode 8 during a doughnut pressure test. In that episode, Andres forgot to put holes in his doughnuts & they were undercooked in the center. Hey, I did start this review with admitting I'm a nerd who watches too many cooking competition shows. Uniform doneness aside, there was also the breadiness. If I'd been told these doughnuts were some kind of new take on Pan Dulce, maybe I would've liked them more. But given the expectation of a doughnut, what I tried at Parlor Doughnuts just wasn't it. The staff was great, & the toppings were fine. But with the word "dough" literally in the name of the product, to come up short there leaves something to be desired.

They really offer a variety of options and focus on a vegan menu. As someone with dietary restrictions, Milk Organics really makes ordering easy and I love that they know the best alternatives to making favorites, whether baked goods or drinks or etc. During my most recent visit my husband and I each had a bagel, one with cream cheese and one with vegan cream cheese. We both greatly enjoyed our bagels and watermelon too! The bagels were so fresh. He had an Ube latte and I had the blueberry latte. His Ube latte was not sweetened and he did not love it, but the Ube flavor was true. My blueberry latte was good for the latte itself but I could not taste any blueberry unfortunately. Still loved the latte itself though!
