I stopped at sunview Cafe for a quick lunch the other day and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the meat lovers skillet, it came piled with bacon and meats, hash browns, eggs and served with two biscuits. It was absolutely fabulous and huge portions, I had to get a to go container because I didn't want to let it go to waste! We came here at 9 am on Sunday, not too busy and got a table right away. Its quite cool in here, temperature wise. Our waitress was cheerful, rushed and we had to get her attention for all water/coffee refils. We ordered meatlovers skillet and Ironman. The skillet was $12+ and was suppose to come with 4 kinds of meat, cheese, potatoes and eggs. Pictured here. We couldnt get over the skimpyness of the portions! Taste was a 5 out of 10,definitely not worth about 13 dollars. The atmksphere is lively, rusged but it took 23 minutes to get our fiid and we had to ask our waitress how much longer. Monday breakfast. Was told to seat ourselves. Wanted a booth, but the two available ones were covered with dirty dishes. Found a clean table. Server took our drink order and then food order. There weren't too many ppl in the restaurant but our food took longer than expected. My biscuits and gravy came out at room temperature. The biscuits were not too fluffy but had a great butter flavor. There wasn't a whole lot of gravy on the biscuits and gravy didn't have much pizzaz and neither did the hash browns. Interior is super cute, rustic/ farm like design and everything is super neat and clean. Service was exceptional, staff was kind and respectful. I just loved how cute this place was! Food was amazing as expected per the previous reviews here, staffs were friendly. I ordered French Benedict which is same as regular egg Benedict but with a croissant instead of a biscuit, it was one of the best Benedicts I've had. Sunview Cafe's are always a good place to get a hearty breakfast. We've been eating at the Allen location lately due to our errands taking us that way. They make a great fluffy omelet. I had a Bacado omelet this time and I think it will be my new go-to omelet with spinach, bacon, cheese and avocado on top. I often have the meat lovers omelet that does not disappoint either. Sides are big have great choices but I don't eat carbs anymore so I enjoy the fruit. read more

Apparently the white chocolate pancakes don't exist no more but when pick up my order nobody mentioned anything-only " not ready" came back after receiving a txt and I, instead of receiving an apology, had to reorder a new item and of course had to pay for it. 4 times in this restaurant and nobody offered an apology for the inconvenience- not to say the manager was totally avoiding me. Come home, no utensils, no syrups, my daughter only got one tortilla for her migas, no coffee and a stale waffle. Do not order online-EVER. Came on Mother's day for lunch and boy was it packed. But then that's a good thing right, since people are willing to wait, then the food must be good. We probably only waited for 20 minutes, so it wasn't too bad. It pretty quaint inside and they do have adequate seating. You order via Ipad, so it prob took about 10 min or less for our food to be ready. I had the eggs benedict with hash browns and my husband got one of the skillets and a pancake. It was a lot of food and it was fresh. The benedict was perfect with that poached runny egg and the hash browns were just the right amount of crispy without being burnt. It all tasted very good and the prices are very affordable as well. This might be one of my new brunch places. I want to try their French toasts, waffles, and crepes on my next visit. The only thing was I wanted orange juice, but I wasn't about to pay $3 something for it, when I can get a whole quart of it at the grocery store, even if most of it probably pays for the labor since it's freshly squeezed. The service was really good as well. Our waitress was very attentive to our needs and available whenever we needed her. We ordered a Patty Melt with fries (not asked if we wanted something to drink) and a panini with chicken, bacon and some other things and I asked to change the cheese to mozzarella. I substituted fruit for the fries (not asked if we wanted something to drink). As we ate our meal the waitress stopped by a couple times to see if we needed anything. When we were done she brought us the check, no offer of dessert. That automatically brings the tip down. My family and I come here often. Food is delicious and service is great! It seems to be family operated which tells you their interest to make customers want to come back. My daughter orders the Mickey Mouse pancakes without powder sugar. I ordered a variety of omelettes and I have order their skillets which are yummy too. My husband orders the burrito and is super filling, we could easily share this dish. I have ordered the California wrap and it's delicious. Pancakes are awesome!!! I just left Sunview for the first time in over 2 years and will likely never return. We were waiting with our party - 5 of us were there and 2 were in the parking lot parking. Sunview has a policy of not sitting your party until it is all there. The hostess told us our table was being prepared when suddenly a couple was sat at the table they were preparing for us. 2 people out of 6 were beingf sat while we waited for almost 10 minutes with most of our party patiently. When I asked why they were say before we were told that their party was just outside and I said that ours was as well - their party was not outside. To me it reeked of favoritism which I have seen on a couple of occasions there. It was nerve racking to say the least and upsetting that their new owner did nothing to correct the situation other than to offer us to WAIT for another table to be setup for us. Haven't had breakfast that taste home cooked and taste this good in a long time! Came here on a Saturday morning and waited about 10 mins. When we were seated, we were served right away. Ordered our food pretty quickly and got our food in less than 10 mins. Their menu selection is quite good. For example, there's about 5-6 variations of Belgium waffles, crepes and French toast. They have kids menu too for under $6. My daughter had their Mickey Mouse pancake, which came with 2 strip of bacon. She loved her dish and ate almost everything but one ear. I had their biscuit and gravy that came with a side of hash brown for $7. Wow, my taste buds were jumping with joy. This was probably one of the best biscuits and gravy I've ever had. The biscuits were light and flaky and absorbed the gravy very well. The gravy was seasoned nicely and wasn't clumpy or floury like some of the places I've tried. My daughter and I enjoyed our food so much we wanted to come back on Sunday to try their other items and bring the rest of the family but unfortunately there was a 25 min wait and we were too hungry to wait that long. read more

Pretty new place located on Stacy, figured I'd try it out since it's pretty close to home. I've always been a fan of local spots to dine. I walk in and there's more staff than customers. This is pretty normal with new places since they are growing the skills. I'm seated pretty fast and given my menu. I order my coffee and orange juice, they are delivered fast. For my main breakfast entree I decide to go with the Meat Lovers skillet. This comes with hash browns and I chose the pancakes. The food was delivered fast and it was tasty. My meat lovers skillet was pretty yummy. I know I know, people say "red meat is not good for you". I say, y"es it is, it's the blue and purple meat you gotta worry about..." LOL There was a waitress at my table every 5 minutes asking if there is anything else I need. I love being checked on. Allen needs places like this. I saw a few people rode their bikes there, I think it's pretty awesome to have some place to dine within bike range. I wish I had a place like this closer to my house. The place was clean, the staff was friendly, the food was good. What more can you ask for. I'm pretty stingy with my 5 star reviews since it's gotta be something extravagant to get 5 starts, but they are a solid 4 stars as they got everything right. read more

This place is a hidden gem! I came here with a group of friends after a workout and it hit the spot. We ordered so many things- avocado omelet, strawberry French toast, Nutella banana French toast, strawberry pancakes, chocolate chip pancakes, eggs Benedict. We definitely ordered too much because the portions are definitely Texas size! Which is super great for the prize. Everything was so good we finished everything despite ordering so much. There was a good flow of traffic and even a line when we were leaving which shows you how good this place is. The ambiance is very homey and welcoming. Loved the decorations on the wall. Our waiter was super friendly and attentive. We were a group of 7 which is quit big and despite having 4 other large tables he always made sure our waters were refilled.
