Pretty new place located on Stacy, figured I'd try it out since it's pretty close to home. I've always been a fan of local spots to dine. I walk in and there's more staff than customers. This is pretty normal with new places since they are growing the skills. I'm seated pretty fast and given my menu. I order my coffee and orange juice, they are delivered fast. For my main breakfast entree I decide to go with the Meat Lovers skillet. This comes with hash browns and I chose the pancakes. The food was delivered fast and it was tasty. My meat lovers skillet was pretty yummy. I know I know, people say "red meat is not good for you". I say, y"es it is, it's the blue and purple meat you gotta worry about..." LOL There was a waitress at my table every 5 minutes asking if there is anything else I need. I love being checked on. Allen needs places like this. I saw a few people rode their bikes there, I think it's pretty awesome to have some place to dine within bike range. I wish I had a place like this closer to my house. The place was clean, the staff was friendly, the food was good. What more can you ask for. Wow! The reviews for this place don't lie. When you come to eat anywhere and there is any type of wait, it's got to be good...and it was. So many good looking options on the menu, I went with the southern Benedict. What a great combination of flavors. Had a friend get basically the same thing but as an omelette and he said it was great as well. Friendly, fast service, clean, good vibes. Check it out. I really wanted to like this place. With so many great reviews I had to try this place out. For a Thursday morning wasn't busy but I did notice much older crowd ( nothing wrong with that) but service for a slow morning was extremely slow . Getting drinks or even our food took some time. But then I looked at their menu and realized they just have so much maybe a little too much on their menu. Ok I'll explain why they took so long to serve our food. We ordered Mickey Mouse pancakes for the little one . Veggie omelet and their "NEW" apple cinnamon crepes , the Florentine Benedict with hash browns and two sides of fruits. The apples on the crepes tasted like from a can and crepes were slightly on the burnt side . We literally only ate half of our plates and I wanted to take before pics but we were starving but even then the food wasn't as good hash browns were super greasy and tasteless and my friends omelet lacked flavor too. Walked into this clean well lit spot around 8 on a Sunday morning. We were greeted & sat immediately. We each had a different meal, hubby had biscuits & gravy with a side of bacon he is our toughest critic & gave it a 8/10. She gave her meal an 8.5 as well. I ordered the Avocado Benedict, eggs over medium & hollandaise on the side...it was delicious. I'll give my breakfast a 9.5 out of 10. We are new to the area so first thing first, we yelped some brunch/lunch places. Our friends from home came to visit so we had to impress. Found this place, all the pictures so so yummy. We got there around 12:30 and the place was packed which is expected for a Sunday afternoon. We waited about 2O minutes which isn't bad. When we hit seat, I ordered the Belgian Waffles with a side of bacon, my sons ordered the Avocado Benedict and Eggs Benedict, my husband and friends ordered the Tex-amex Skillet, Meat Lover's Skillet and the Southern Quesadillas. I loves my Waffles, one of the best one I've had. Everyone else seemed to like theirs and their places are empty. Overall, It's a great lunch place and fairly priced. This place is real busy in the morning especially on weekends. The restaurant is a tad small but is long and can seat more than it looks. They have a pretty big menu with a lot of options for everyone. Their staff is quick and friendly. The wait to get a table during breakfast was not too terribly long. Even more surprising, our food came out REAL QUICK. With the number of customers in the restaurant I expected to take longer but it was out in probably less than 15 minutes, or maybe I'm just used to iHop's wait time. What an adorable - and delicious - little gem! I was craving something healthy and was really interested in their paninis and a cup of soup but when I got there, the lunch menu was actually so much larger than what I saw here on Yelp!, I ended up choosing Chicken Fried Steak. With a salad, of course (ahem, HEALTHY). I was very pleased with everything - the service was great, the food was prompt and came out perfectly. The CFS was HUGE and although it was on the thin side, the meat so tender I didn't even need a fork. It had great flavor and even covered in the yummy gravy, the breading was crispy and, most importantly, it didn't fall off or pull away from the meat (I hate it when that happens!). You get several choices for a side - the fries were a must and tasted great, and the salad I chose for my other side was simple but had very fresh, crisp greens. I do wish they had more of a selection of veggies, like steamed broccoli or something, but the salad was not a bad option at all. Very good! I went with my family for a farewell brunch for my aunt. We had to wait 25 minutes to be seated, but it seems like it's a popular place and it was 11:30 AM on a Sunday. We were seated at a booth and they pulled up a chair for the fifth member of our party. We ordered two teas, two coffees, and a milk. At first they forgot one of the coffees, but they fixed the mistake quickly once we mentioned it. Then, they replaced our bottle of Cholula with a fresh, newly opened one. Score! Once our food rolled out it looked delicious! We ordered an Iron Man, the Healthy Breakfast, the Carnitas omelette, and two traditional breakfasts. This location is very small , but it is worth it! The inside decor is every rustic typical Texan feel which is what I really love. The service was very fast and everyone was super friendly! I love the staff here and everyone had on Christmas ears which is really fun! The omelette was very fluffy and nice! I noticed the French toast, waffles, and pancakes looked very very very delicious but I settled for the For Mom to get the best of both savory and sweet. The pancakes were so moist and fluffy. We happened to come across Sunview Cafe, and we were glad we did! It was very crowded, but we didn't wait more than five minutes for a table. I had the Old-Fashioned Oatmeal with a side of fruit. These were both good and fairly cheap! I especially loved their Segafredo coffee, which I had never tried before. It was full and rich, so I got quite a few refills. We also had the Two Eggs plate with Hash Browns and Buttermilk Biscuits (the most buttery of biscuits I've ever tasted). All of these were very tasty and had great portions for the price. Unfortunately maybe this time was just a fluke, the restaurant didn't seem packed but maybe the kitchen was overly busy or understaffed. They had lost our order and we hadn't been checked in on from our waiting staff, so after a good while waiting and seeing all the tables come and go we had to ask if everything was ok. We came here for a late breakfast yesterday ( our first visit to this restaurant) and I want to first say that the food was terrific and not the reason for the rating of 4 stars. I had the country breakfast (2 eggs, hash browns and 1 biscuit with sausage gravy), while my boyfriend tried one of the breakfast skillets. I ordered my eggs poached, and they were perfect--exactly how I like them! And the sausage gravy was thick and better than others I have tried in this area (Brewed in Fort Worth has the best sausage gravy I've had here in Texas, hands down). My boyfriend said the skillet he had here is the best he has had--and the man has eaten many skillets in many restaurants in this area!!! The reason for my 4 star rating is for the service. Our waitress was not impressive; our daughter knocked over a glass of water as soon as the waitress set it down and she never brought us another; dishes were not collected as plates were emptied, so we sat with a pile of dirty dishes on our table (very hard to keep away from a grabby 2 year old!). Another waitress came and cleared our table while our actual waitress laughed and talked with another employee at the till when my boyfriend tried to catch her attention to ask for the bill. I usually get French toast but because I wanted a combo and didn't want to be difficult, I got pancakes, bacon, and subbed eggs for hash browns. The pancakes were light and airy. I ordered the bacon crisp which I was skeptical about but it came out perfect and not overdone. The hash browns were perfectly seasoned with just salt and pepper I think. Delicious. The hosts were very nice and friendly as soon as I walked in. I sat down immediately and my drink order was taken very quickly. My server Lupita was amazing. She came to take my order right after I sat down. I wasn't ready yet but she gave me the perfect amount of time and came right back to take my order. She is so sweet and was very attentive. She brought my food out right when it was ready, made sure I was satisfied with how everything looked and came to check on me a bit later also. Great service!
