Sunshine was one of the best experiences for a brunch we have had in a long time! The food was outstanding! We had the coconut French toast biscuits and gravy, Eggs Benedict, and waffle! We also order a flight of 4 (Blueberry, Mango, Pomegranate, and Prickly Pear mimosas that turned out to be excellent. We sat at the bar to avoid a 20 minute wait time which turned out to have been 10 minutes but the bar tender was amazing so we opted to stay at the bar for brunch. We also had the coconut mojito and a white chocolate Mocha. The Mojito had a perfect blend of coconut finish and mint. I highly recommend a visit and would recommend calling ahead if you're in a hurry or do not want to wait for a table. The ambiance is bright and beautiful. The new remodel is nice and open with natural light. The placement of the bar in the center open is great. The menu is vast and includes lunch and dinner. Options allow for base price and add ons. The biscuits and gravy was my order and it came warm and was good. The scrambled eggs were fluffy and much to my delight! We however had to ask for salt and pepper and wait longer than expected for this service. (Noted no s&p on any tables). The service was inattentive having to ask for all desired services. Prices were similar to other establishments for lunch and breakfast which was fantastic. Parking was a challenge but there is space to the north in the shared parking lot if you can walk. read more

Ambiance, so cute - it was decked out during the holidays. Warm friendly service. Always checked on drinks and comfort. At one point the sun was in our eyes and without saying anything they offered to move us -- very thoughtful team. Food was great, fair prices. We had the avocado toast with eggs made to order, hot cappuccino, steak and eggs and the hash was good.... Kinda wish we ordered something sweet but will be back to try! This was our first time here and we were very pleased with the experience. The staff are welcoming and had a "team" effort in addressing our needs. My husband and I stumbled upon it while looking for a nearby breakfast spot after dropping his car off at a nearby shop, and we were pleasantly surprised. I walked in to a very comfortable and active atmosphere. The Holiday decorations and staffs energy set the mood. I was greeted at the front by an energetic hostess, then led to a great seat with a nice view of the whole restaurant and televisions, it feels like there's not a bad seat or angle in the place actually. My waitress Audrey was on top of everything and had very good energy off top. It was my first time here and I didn't let anyone know that but it kind of felt like I didn't have to. The menu was straight forward and easy to figure out some good options. They have a scan feature in the menu if you want to see pictures of some of the food which is helpful. My hot cocoa came out fast and fancy and it was really good. It could've been a little hotter but it could've been the time I took to take pictures and videos that cooled it down. My food came out fast, fresh, and perfect to my few specific asks. Everything was good and flavorful. The sweet cream pancakes were different as I'm used to traditional pancakes with crisp edges but I would get them again and maybe just try a specialty one. Eggs scrambles softy with cheese were perfect, the thick cut bacon was delicious and the sausage Pattie's stole the show. This is absolutely my new favorite breakfast spot. It is bright and cheerful, well appointed with TV screens with sporting events, and the staff is top-notch. I love that the menu has such a great variety of options. If you're feeling indulgent, you could have a nice big stack of pancakes or if you're watching your waistline, they offer slimmed-down choices as well. My favorite is the egg white Greek omelette with grits. I'm the granddaughter of a Southerner and these people do grits right! Stopped by Sunshine Breakfast Bar expecting a good local breakfast, but left a bit disappointed. The food was okay -- nothing terrible, but definitely not worth the higher prices. What really turned me off, though, is that they don't allow firearms on the premises. This is Arizona, and many of us responsibly carry, so it felt unnecessary and unwelcoming. Honestly, I'd rather just go down the street to US Egg -- the food is better, the service is friendlier, and they don't make you feel uncomfortable for exercising your rights. read more

BANG BANG BANG That's all I could hear with every bite and interaction here. Great food, great people, great service. I took my partner (looking fine as ever) here for breakfast today. When I pulled into the parking lot my face went white. I may have just committed one of the most embarrassing fumbles of all time - I forgot my wallet - I had two options, admit defeat and go home to retrieve my wallet (fat) or walk in with a mist of shame and hope they took Apple Pay. After a quick deliberation I settle on the latter and walk in. I was so warmly greeted by Morgan who was raring to go and get us seated before I interrupt her flow to admit my forgetfulness and ask about Apple Pay. She took the question in stride and assured me they could work with my back-up payment method. After Morgan found a wonderful seat for us, she took our drink orders and answered any and all questions we threw at her about the menu without letting us feel the least bit judged. After perusing the menu we decide to order the Chicken Fried Steak and Chilaquiles. The food came so swiftly I had hardly started my drink - amazing . My chicken fried steak was crispy, juicy, cooked to perfection, the cheesy grits were full of flavor and my eggs and toast were cooked with out a note to be made. The Chilaquiles remained crispy beginning to end and were spicy (verde) in all the best ways. No complaints will be found in this review. Angel, from the back even came out to greet us and tell us all about their plans for the place - I'm looking forward to the patio opening up soon. All-in-all a delightful experience beginning to end. Thanks to their payment flexibility I won't be doing dishes, although if the back of the house is a lovely as the front I don't think I would have minded. I decided to try this place because it had good reviews here on yelp. I'm so glad I did. I loved the vibe as soon as I walked in... cute and eclectic ambiance! Diego and Michelle were our servers and they were wonderful. All of our food was delicious. Probably the best Huevos Rancheros I've ever had (there's also pico on this but I kept it off because I don't like tomatoes). My family and I came here last week. Beautiful restaurant! Bright, open, welcoming, clean. The service was great, everyone we interacted with was SO kind. Our server made plenty of awesome recommendations and the GM and owners stopped by to greet us. We ordered the breakfast burrito, the Sunshine pancake breakfast, the biscuits and gravy, the eggs Benedict, Greek salad and the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. This place is incredibly overpriced and small portion options. $10 kids meal for two mini pancakes and one slice of bacon. Anything added on adds at least $2. Next adult meals are overpriced and don't come with sides. $18 for only French toast, or pancakes with no side. Today our family of 7 went here. All adults were served and finished eating before the 2 kids meals arrived. When we go to check out they added a 20% (undeserved) gratuity because we had a "large party". I got one hot biscuit with cold gravy, one piece of bacon, and 2 eggs for 17.00. My son got a kids grilled cheese and fries. The fries were dark and crunchy and the sandwich was on hard sourdough, so it wasn't eaten. He is picky though. Other people ate his sandwich and liked it. But the bread is more of an adult flavor bread. My daughter couldn't get anything off the kids menu because the portions were too tiny, so she ordered a cheeseburger and fries. That was $20 and so dry she too didn't eat it. And she's my not picky child. She tried to eat it and gave up. My husband got the best ever meat lovers omelette here though. So at least one of us was satisfied. Won't be back. Too expensive. Too small/weird offerings. And adding a 20% gratuity for a server that barely made the rounds is awful.
