This time I ordered online, which had a section for special instructions, but when I went in I saw that there was indeed a spot to put special instructions in-store. I love creme brulee in my milk tea drinks. This place has it. My hokkaido milk tea with creme brulee was refreshing and I put 100% sweet and it was to my taste. I don't like overly sweet. Customer service above and beyond. We had an issue with one of their self service machine since it charged my friends card 4x, it didn't show that the transaction went through so my friend kept trying until we decided to do it with an actual person. When we found this out, we immediately told them. All the drinks were processed 4x and there was a ton of drinks that we didn't order. So they reverse/refund us the 3 initial orders and gave us the multiple ones and felt bad so we asked what they will do with the rest, and they said they will give it to their employees and customers. And they did. They are quick to complete our orders and quick to decide that customer is something that they need to care. We reported which machine was the problem and logged the multiple drinks that was printed. Gave as the receipt that shows that the amounts were reversed. Let me start by saying that I don't make a habit of reviewing a place good or bad because it's just the cost of exploring new things, but when I feel compelled to say something then I will. I went there with my daughter in mid December and left happy with drinks in hand until my daughter sucked up through the fat straw a big, slimy and gross bug. After calling there to express my unfortunate experience, the nice person there said they would return my money and apologized saying the manager will call me. This call and refund never came even after I called to remind them again about my situation and was promised again the manager would indeed call when they got to work that day. NOPE! All I wanted was to make sure the manager/owner was aware and also to get a refund . Obviously, they are not interested in their customers and are ok serving gross and slimy bugs. Heard good things about this place and was my first time at this location. Ordering was easy on your cellphone or you can order on the tablet on the wall. At 5:32PM I ordered the grapefruit jasmine tea 50% sugar and a matcha oolong milk tea half sugar with honey boba. There were several people waiting so we left to go to the Dog Bakery shop nearby. After 10 minutes we walk back and the line was even longer but we waited since the receipt said it should be ready by 5:42PM. Waited and waited as people with order numbers way after us got their drinks. Place looks overwhelmed and understaffed. After another 10 minutes I ask them to check my number. 10 more minutes went by and still nothing so had to ask again and they finally made our drinks. The drink was good and fine, boba was ok and the milk tea texture was good as you would expect from any good Taiwanese boba shop but we had to wait almost 40 minutes! I just wanted to start off by saying that I'm a huge fan of Sunright!! Huge! My fiancé and I often frequent the Arcadia and MPK location and Sunright has always been consistent with their drinks and boba. I'm not sure what happened today at the Pasadena location but the boba we ordered was terrible. We had an oolong milk tea and jasmine milk tea, both with boba. The tea was great. But the boba-- was not only mushy but thick to the point where we could not drink our drinks with a boba straw because the boba kept getting clogged in the straw. It tasted like the boba was made earlier on in the day and expanded as the hours went by. Who knows? Maybe it's because we ordered around 8ish and it was close to closing time and they didn't want to make a new batch? We ended up just using our own regular straws to drink the tea and discarded the boba. Not sure if we will be back to this location but if we do, I'll need to read my review to remind myself not to order the boba. read more

Nice Sunright location, great place to grab a drink and window shop in Old Town Pasadena. The boba is good - chewy and not too sweet. Got the usual milk tea and it was good - strong and not watered down. The shop is clean and while it's a soft opening, the staff were friendly and efficient. Best place and closest parking is in the DeLacey Parking structure. From the parking lot to Sunright it's less than a minute walk. I came around 2pm on a Monday and there was plenty of parking. With the free 90 min parking, it's easy to grab a boba and walk around for a bit before heading out. read more

We were unable to get tea because the computer screen wasn't working. If you order in advance on your computer or phone, you can pick up your drinks. A long line started to develop in the store because we couldn't figure out how to get it off the home screen, no start icons. I had another customer trying to figure out. Staff was too busy to be able to trouble shoot their computer. ( turn off? Restart?) Also the screen is fairly high so people in a wheelchair probably couldn't work it. Came in to the new Sunright on Colorado next to Apple. The interior is the usual Sunright colors with a clean design. I usually get the Sunright fruit tea but I saw they had a new grape frostie with cheesefoam that sounded interesting so I ordered that, wow! It was a very unique drink, I don't think I have seen anything grape flavored at any other boba shop. The fresh grapes ice-blended with cheesefoam created a delicious drink with great texture, this one is definitely worth a try. Came across this new Sunright after dinner in Old Town Pasadena. It is pretty hard to miss as its the brightest shop on the block, talk about sunny vibes. I usually get drinks at another boba shop down the street but now that Sunright is open I will be definitely coming here as it is probably my favorite boba chain. My go to drinks are the Sunright boba milk tea, Taro milk tea and Oolong milk tea. Actually you can't miss with any of their drinks and the one time I had something I didn't like they were cool with replacing it, always great customer service across their locations. Today the staff were obviously new but were nevertheless friendly and helpful with the newcomers in front of me. If you haven't checked them out its a must try. Easy 5 stars. read more

It's great to have a Sunright tea in Pasadena! I had been a big fan of Half and Half for a long time until I stumbled upon Sunright which I like much better. Their teas are top notch. The new location is right in the heart of Old Pasadena making it super convenient. Mmmm...excellent boba! I just tried it today after a grueling day in jury duty and thankfully it helped ease my weary mind after listening to commentary for the duration. The taro smoothie and jasmine milk tea with almond milk were much needed and well, I almost drank both in one sitting but told myself "wait, tomorrow I'll endure the same thing so save it for another time of need..." I replied with "Yes, you're right. I will save that and enjoy it further." Looking forward to it after another round of public service. Pretty good and not overly sweet. You can order conveniently at kiosk without having to talk to anyone. We got their signature fruit tea and milk tea. It seemed there was only one size, which was pretty big and can be shared between 2 if no ice. The fruit tea tasted citrusy, and while fresh-tasting, there were seeds from the fruit that made the drink slightly bitter. Agar boba for the fruit tea was free and added texture despite having no flavor. The milk tea was a good balance of creaminess and tea. It wasn't watery as well, which is the main thing I look out for when trying boba. However, the boba fell short in its flavor. Most of its brown sugar flavor went into the tea instead of staying with the tapioca balls. read more
