We came to Alto Boba by happenstance after a dinner at Haruka. I had no idea that they had bubble waffle! My friends got drinks and we split the bubble waffle with Nutella, banana, and strawberry. The place was calm, clean, and our order was prepared quickly! We were able to move some tables around to fit our group and had a grand time. I think this is definitely a great place to try, especially if you're with friends so you can try different treats! read more

I've been craving boba so much lately! I stopped by in the area for a quick healthy snack and their acai bowls are amazing. The next time I come back i definitely want to try their bubble waffles because look how good they look on their menu. When I walk inside the cafe/ shop the ambiance is super clean and it smells amazing in there like I just want to order everything. Plus the owner and workers are the sweetest! Parking: nice parking lot, a little tight for larger vehicles but not really a problem. Shared with other businesses. Damn how come I never tried this when it's not that far of a drive. I've been missing so much. This place is a true gem for the area. It's 100% worth the short drive up from eagle rock. This has the best orange green tea I've tried. From anywhere period. And I always get that when it's available. The watermelon and peslach are superb too. The sweetness for me is perfect at 100% and I don't like my drinks sweet. They are extremely refreshing if anything. I've had cheaper drinks, but it's about a little bit higher than the average price point. Completely worth it though. The creme brulee waffle was so good. It is the best I've had. I don't really like the waffles cause they are never cooked correctly, but damn I really enjoyed the one here. Dough was not undercooked, but it wasn't too crispy. Had the right amount of crispiness to softness. Writing this review makes me crave it. I got a stamp card cause I will be coming back here more often. Did I mention the area is nice and the people who took my order were also really nice? It really is a gem. Can't say anything about their milk drinks, but their boba is just okay. read more

Decided to give this place one last chance to redeem itself. lol, Anyways, I was greeted by whom I believe was maybe the owner, she took my order which was a matcha latte w/ light ice & full sweetness. I also asked if they could give me the taller cup & not the little 16oz cup I got the last time. The woman then replied "sure of course", she then proceeded to give the order to the girl behind the counter. As the girl behind the counter was making my matcha in a smaller cup the lady taking orders reminded her it was a bigger cup. I also spoke up and reminded the girl to please make it light ice. The young girl making the matcha didn't even reply to me nor the owner. This establishment honestly needs to hire more friendly baristas/ boba makers. This young girl acts as if she hates her job. The matcha at the end of all this was still just okay, I've had way better. read more

I got a Thai milk tea this time! Very yummy! You usually can tell if the milk tea place is good if their "basic" flavors are good! I am here right now on a Friday afternoon. It's almost 4 pm and it's pretty packed. Lots of people. You can still find parking easily and the service is still fast and friendly!! read more

I wanted a Boba drink and this place popped up and I figured I'd give it a try. When I came inside, i was stuck between getting a brown sugar milk tea or taro milk tea. I ended up asking the woman who took my order and she told me to order taro. It was really yummy. I ordered 75% sweet and it was a really yummy drink. She told me that they make their brown sugar from scratch so next time i will try the brown sugar milk tea!!! read more

Absolutely delicious! The boba is always fresh and you can really taste the quality in every drink. My favorite is the Thai Tea and the Green Mango Tea with mango popping boba! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff are super friendly. One of my favorite spots to grab a treat. Parking is shared but never have a problem finding a spot. read more

Best boba in town!! Their classic milk tea is delicious. Tapioca boba balls are just the right amount of chewiness and firmness! Also appreciate that they let you split one boba into 2 cups for my kids. I don't want my kids consuming too much sugar so splitting is always ideal for us. They offer this option without any hassle (unlike other places where they won't seal the cup and just give a smaller cup for us to pour into making it very messy and not ideal for kids). read more

Got 2 strawberry hibiscus drinks with boba (50% sweet) and those was perfect for a relative and me for a very hot summer afternoon! This places uses real fruit in sturdy cups and this makes a big difference in how a drink tastes over time. Some drinks from places taste nasty the moment that the iciness melts but at this place, the drink stays great even if I'm having it at my desk for a long time while working so it's worth it for me rather than buying something that I need to throw it sooner because the drinks gets gross with melting. read more

THE BUBBLE TEA IS REALLY GOOD ============================ I haven't had milk tea with boba in several months, but decided to try Alto Boba while my husband was getting ice cream at Handel's next door. The jasmine milk tea with boba and 25% sweetness was delicious. Next time I will order the drink without sweetener though. It really isn't needed in my opinion with the boba. The boba had the perfect consistency and flavor too. I'm no boba expert, but if I don't like the boba I most likely would not return. The woman who helped me was very nice as well. What an awesome Boba spot ~. Friendly customer service the minute you walk in ~. So much to choose from I went with the Thai Milk Tea 75% percent sweetness ~. (You can choose your percentage of sweetness) it was great! Altho I could go a bit less next time ! I also tried a Mochi Matcha Rice Krispy Treat..... which was SO GOOD. Not too sweet at all and absolutely delicious ! Finally the reusable cups they use are so cool and unique !! This place is a must try when you're up in La Canada ! Coming to this local boba spot after finishing some fun TJMaxx shopping or eating at a sushi spot nextdoor is simply the cherry on top of my day. I like ordering the House Milk Tea and Jasmine Milk Tea. The drinks are very soothing and not over the top, just right. The workers are so kind and are patient as you order. The place is cute, with tables to sit down, a vending machine, and a wall of polaroid photos spelling out A for Alto Boba. Love stopping by here :) read more

quick service, they have some indoor seating if you want to sit for a bit. i only ordered their bubble waffle here, it was crispy outside, but i felt it was lacking in the eggy flavor. i also prefer my food freshly warm but when it was given it seemed to already cooled down. i have had better in the past but i paired it with handel's icecream next door& that was the real show! i recommend trying that if you like combining icecream with sweet bread. read more

I've been here several times since they opened. I keep forgetting to bring my stamp card (I don't even know if they still even do that), it's all filled up. The yakult, strawberry and mango, is great, as are their milk teas. Big fan of the taro and the strawberry. Service is friendly, and the packaging is aesthetically pleasing. I am a big oolong milk tea fan and liked theirs since I can taste the tea flavor. Many places oolong milk tea you hardly taste oolong since they put too much milk. I added extra tea to get even less milk proportion . Cheese foam goes well with it. I like things super sweet and normally get 100% and no ice. Their 100 % may be on the sweeter side that would go well with ice. I think next I will get 70%- 80% sugar The guys are friendly and recommended based on my preference. Great work ethics even at store closing time. Happy with the quality of the drink and can't wait to try their creme brûlée waffle and mixed fruit tea. Definitely will be coming back read more

I literally drive from the west side of San Fernando Valley, over 20 miles away, and at times, over a 45 minute drive, JUST to get this boba. I love Alto Boba's boba, especially the fruit teas! They use real, fresh fruit, which they crush and mix into your drink right there in the store. The strawberry milk tea has fresh strawberry pieces too. The tea has such a great flavor, and I love the sweetness levels. If you're not a big fan of sweet drinks (like me) the fruit teas are perfect. But the milk teas are excellent too. And the Waffle Cones are DELICIOUS (I don't even like waffles!!!). I seriously can't get enough of this boba place. I want to move to the neighborhood just so it's closer to me. Do NOT hesitate to try! read more

I could never get good boba in the area so typically I make the drive out to get something that I actually like. However, Alto boba was pleasantly surprising. The quality of the drinks from the teas itself to the actual boba, is better than most places I've tried across socal. I love a good fruit tea and all of their fruit teas are made with actual fruits and high quality teas. Another sleeper was their matcha, I didn't expect a boba place to use ceremonial! I'm surprised this place hasn't blown up yet tbh. Might have to gatekeep this spot.... read more

This review is long overdue. I've been coming here since they opened at it's my FAVORITE boba spot. It's definitely the best boba in the area. HANDS DOWN! Their waffles are also really good. I'm going to try the açaí next time I go. The service is great. Everyone is super friendly, especially the owner. Nice ambiance. The place is always super clean, even their outside seating area is clean. We usually go to the sushi spot next door and then come here for the boba/dessert. Plenty of parking right outside. read more

Anytime I am in La Canada Flintridge to get Haruka Sake and Sushi next door, I don't leave without getting a drink from Alto Boba! I have stopped by quiet a few times and they serve some of the best boba in the area. They have a wide variety of drink and add on options which is great since there is something for everyone. The store is decorated with the cutest polaroid wall that makes out their logo and they have a good amount of indoor seating and a small amount of outdoor seating. The staff here is also very friendly which makes the entire experience fantastic. As a strawberry fan myself I always enjoy the strawberry blended drinks as well as their strawberry yakult. If you love yakult, then the strawberry yakult is the drink for you. It is not overly sweet which is nice. This time around I got the strawberry mango blend with boba, lychee jelly, and strawberry popping boba. It was absolutely delicous and might be my new go to. read more

Great place to pick up boba drinks, smoothies, or tea! The staff were so happy and friendly. It seems really relaxed too. Definitely not crowded or busy like the Handel's next door. There was a small but mighty variety of options. Most drinks average $6 each. I like that add-ons were $0.50 each. We got our drinks relatively quick too. Today, I got to try out a flavor I don't see everyday (if ever) which was the Gingerbread Milk Tea. I asked for 25% sweetness which is just right for me. Loved it. The boba with it was made super perfect in my mind: chewy, flavorful (like it soaked up flavor of my drink). My husband got the Kiwi Green Tea with Lychee jelly. There is kiwi puree in this drink. Tastes more natural than others I've had. I would definitely come back if I'm in the area again. read more

We came exactly at 9 and were told they were closed which was totally understandable so we proceeded to leave the noticed another customer walked in as we were leaving. We decided to go to the ice cream shop next door and I noticed that the man (same race as the person taking the order) that walked in after us still hadn't left the boba shop. I went on to look inside and this guy was taking that man's order specifically after he told us "we're not taking anymore orders". The guy then saw us watching him taking the man's order and waved us in to order cause he felt guilty buddy should definitely be fired. This happened exactly today 15 min ago so whoever was closing at this time should be released I hope you see this pal your a jackass. read more

First time to this new boba shop. Very friendly and welcoming owners. Ordered Thai milk tea, watermelon green tea, and mango slushies. Quality is excellent. At 75% sweet, the Thai ice tea was sweet enough. Watermelon tea had chunks of watermelon inside. The mango slushie was blended very fine and was delicious, also with 75% sweet which was definitely sweet enough. Inside was bright with 2 small claw machines on the side. I didn't play it but it looks like it accepts both card and cash. Will definitely be back! read more

On of my visits, a friend ordered the Banana Bread French Toast, and it made me wish I had two stomachs so that I could eat that as well. But like a good friend, she noticed that I was eyeing her breakfast like a puppy dog begging from scraps. So she was gracious enough to split some and do a trade with one of my biscuits. I think the trade was quite fair. Next time, we agreed to go halfsies on the Corn Flake Crusted French Toast because they're really exceptional, and the Morning Quiche (which is only served on the weekends).

Service is also good, and were accomodating enough for a good time. Overall, I'd want to come here again just to try the desserts. One caveat is to come here if you check in early morning for a good weekend brunch, around 9-9:30am, which I did during my second visit here, as their peak times are roughly around noon.

I wish I could give this experience a NEGATIVE 5 due to this distasteful service. The worker was a fair skinned female w/ a septum piercing working 1/19/26 @ approximately 6:30 pm. She was slacking off with her friends that came in. As we were looking at what to order. We told her we weren't ready to order and she gave us a rude look and walked away. Then we spotted the Dubai chewy cookie, and we were wondering the price and asked her about it. She glared at us and was so rude telling us to look at the sign, since it "SUPPOSEDLY" said the price on it. She kept snarking that the price was $8 even though it was no where on the sign.
