Had a blast at Sunny's Black Lagoon Halloween pop-up. Sunny's is always a good time, but the seasonal concept takes it up a notch with spooky decor and themed drinks. The Black Lagoon menu has a range of drink options, including three mocktails, which is great for people who want to experience the pop-up but don't want to drink. Several of the drinks come in cool, creepy glasses that you can buy and take home if you want. What's the same as always is the incredible service from the Sunny's team.

We went for the Halloween pop up and honestly it was great! Not too loud, fun crowd, bartenders were fast and attentive, and Anna was just the sweetest! The seasonal drinks were decent, but their classics are the fan favorite for us. There is a pool table as well and some table seating and decent enough parking. I'd love to see other themed popups here (Christmas starts around mid November), but may swing by on a normal day too!

We came here for drinks one night after eating a restaurant nearby. It's a cool idea, a dive bar vibe but with good cocktails. They had it decked out for halloween when we went which was really fun! We were greeted when we came in and the drinks were good and came out quickly. They had a special Halloween menu as well but the drinks were a little pricey imo. The music they were playing was a great vibe as well, loud enough to feel like you were at a bar but not so loud that it was annoying and you could hardly talk.

I don't remember the name but I bought the glass!

This place was fun! I came here for the Halloween pop-up experience by Black Lagoon. I arrived around 730p on a Thursday and it was very packed, no where to sit. But the staff working were all very friendly and still came around to take our order. There was a podcast group there that night recording a podcast (which may explain why it was so busy). My friend and I each ordered a drink. I don't remember what they were, but we liked them. Some of the glasses were for sale and I purchase one that looked like a dragon. The Halloween decor was great and it was a very dark and intimate setting that evening.

Looking for a dive bar experience with upscale drinks? This is your place to be! Amazing cocktails around $15 each and the ambience gives dive bar vibes. Service is impeccable!

Great bar with awesome drinks and awesome staff. We have been here a few times and have always had a great experience. They have a small patio and many tables inside. It's not super big but feels like a good size. Tons of drink options. They also have a pool table inside. Our friends have been here more often and they always speak fondly of it. They have some great stories about the "haunted" part of the bar so ask! Will definitely continue coming back. Parking is small but if drinking you should be using ride share anyway!

Oh how I wish there was a bar like this in my neighborhood! Friendly staff, welcoming come-as-you-are vibe, fabulous drinks. The place looks like a dive from outside, but the cocktails are classy. "Come, Mr. Tally Man" was perfect. And I have to admit, I got emotional when I saw they brought back my Counter Intuitive fave- "Soldier Boy" (thank you!!). Recommend!

This place is awesome! The outside is unassuming, but the inside is super cute and cozy. I live down the street from this place and I can't believe it's taken me so long to discover it. I ordered the magazine cover and the thai me down. Both drinks were really good and service was friendly. I'll be back for sure!

Came here for their holiday decor is the spooky vibes were spooktastic. The black lagoon team set up the decorations as far as I'm aware but the staff was super friendly, gave great advice, and offered to take photos of us since we all came in costume. Surpassed our expectations for sure since on the outside it does look like a more low key bar. Guess now I have to try them out for a non-Halloween outing

Stopped in for drinks with my friends and had the best lemon drop ever. They had it decorated for Halloween and it looked really cute inside. Definitely recommend

Great spot with delicious cocktails. Doesn't look like much from the outside but the inside is recently remodeled and so nice. Service is super friendly. They are happy to explain their drinks and give options. The TV isn't normally on. We requested to watch the game and they had no problem putting it on for us.

The Macintosh is described as a neighborhood restaurant that serves modern American and Southern cuisine. It was once called Grassroots Kitchen & Tap before it got rebranded. They have a diverse menu with a lot of different choices. Shrimp and Grits, Barbecued Beef Ribs, a Chicken Salad and Po Boy Sandwiches are some of the standouts. I settled on the Rotisserie Chicken which came with a side of onion rings. I'm a big pesto fan and loved the buttermilk pesto for dipping. I had a nice time and look forward to a return visit. GOOD! inspired by taco bell's baja blast hahahah). they TREATED us to all three of their current desserts on the menu. it was the most pleasant surprise i could've imagined. my favorite was the flourless chocolate cake! it was like a thick, rich brownie, had passion fruit cream to "lighten it up" and a caramel-like taffy on the bottom my brother and sister-in-law both said their favorite was the gulab jamun (which is basically like little fried dough balls/donuts, influenced by indian flavors and spices). the mille-feuille was also fantastic - the pastry was light and airy, cream wasn't too sweet and also very light, shaved cheese on top made it have a savory bite, and the jam alongside it was strawberry rhubarb. service is always amazing, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable; it seems like everybody working here truly enjoys it. quite literally already have a reservation booked at valentine and will be coming back here beforehand. update: came back for more drinks (fernet & coke, spaghett western, negroni) and their lamb flauta. all AMAZING! and amazing order to whet the appetite before dinner at valentine.

We arrived right at opening and the bar filled up quickly but the volume still made it easy to have a conversation and still have an intimate night out. The drinks, this time, well balanced and delicious. My wife had the the Pantera Rosa and I had the Last Word. Both were delicious and not overly sweet. I love a good "Last Word" but the tea added a welcome and subtle layer. A nicely created cocktail without shaming the original. Excellent service, a Christmas tree upstairs, and no reservations required. Glad they were able to seat us considering we showed up without reservations. Downstairs gets quickly reserved so seats upstairs are where they push overflow patrons. Right outside Flint's doors downstairs there is a staircase which opens up to the upstairs dining area. Service was prompt, and we got our drinks by the time we had our mains decided. I got a glass of red to pair with my steak. My partner had a refreshing cocktail, but it was decent. The highlights of the night were the food. SO MUCH FOOD! And it was TERRIFIC! For starters we got the artichoke hummus. It sounded a bit weird, but all it was was regular hummus with 4 artichoke hearts that were crispy. The artichoke hearts were crisp, but moist, and I could have kept eating those all day. It comes with 1 pita bread. The server told us to order another and we did, turns out we needed it as the pita breads were quite small ($3 +). Sure only 3 bucks, but nickel and dime if you are spending $14 on an app... For mains I got the filet medium rare with a side of regular potatoes. My partner got the salmon skewer with a side of asparagus. Both the dishes were cooked perfectly and they were familiar dishes with a slightly exotic touch to it. Must be the middle eastern part of the restaurant. The steak came with a ganache or accompaniments of middle eastern sides. Can't recall what they were but they were great when I dipped my potatoes in them. It was sour, tart, acidic, kind of like middle eastern soy sauce. The server recommended it to us and we got it. The salmon skewer came with 5 decent sized pieces on it. Great for a small eater or someone who doesn't want their own meal. It too was delicious and had light touches of sauce or smoke on it. The asparagus is a favorite. It was cooked as usual, typical steak side and both me and my partner enjoyed it! For dessert, as it was my partners birthday the server comped the pound cake. While it was delicious, it was definitely the letdown of the meal. It was way too sweet including the layer of cream that it was doused with. The sweat cream wasn't necessary as the pound cake was incredibly sweet itself. Also, the pound cake wasn't soft like normal cake. It was quite dry once you peeled away the creme layer up top. I definitely should have gone with the Chocolate Ganache Tart. But their mess up worked in their favor. I'm definitely coming back for another meal at Flint!
