If you haven't tried their mochi taro you're missing out. The mochi was perfectly chewy. Their einspaner (cream latte) w oatmilk was delicious, had a strong coffee flavor, and not syrup-y. Service was friendly and efficient as well. There is another sunmerry closer to my house but I will make the drive for this location.

Galaxy lemonade and iced vanilla latte

Quick stop after a target run. Iced vanilla latte and galaxy lemonade. Lemonade perfectly sweet and looks cool a good drink for kids or adults. Iced vanilla latte was great, sweet but can still taste the coffee. Pastries are available, but there wasn't a lot of selection in the afternoon when we went. Service was good, friendly, cashier struck up short conversation. Minus one star only because no inside seating. There is inside standing room. Overall, would recommend for quick coffee run.

Boyfriend found this place while waiting for me and took me here to check this place out. I went with him near closing time. The baristas weren't unfriendly, but didn't talk to us at all except asking if we were ready to order. They have cute things for sale. Interesting menu. We only got one pastry which now I'm regretting because it was so delicious - the Nutella Cookie Bun! Drinks we got the Einspanner & Dalgona Toffee Iced Lattes x2 times. Both were deliciously strong. If we lived closer and/or returned for a business trip nearby, we will definitely be coming back!

My Go to is a hot Hawaii latte! So good. Service and quality are amazing. Cute little spot! A must try!

12.04.22 came on a Sunday evening to look for a cake for my moms bday while dining in the same plaza for her bday dinner. There was a switch of plan so we ended up coming over to Stonefire. I forgot that this location Sunmerry don't have that much selections of cake available. They rarely have any cakes. Such a bummer. And they don't provide complimentary candies like Paris Baguette, Korean bakery. We had to settle for the Strawberry Custard cake. It's really simple and i knew my mother loves black coffee and sweet breads every am. So this will be perfect. The cake was soft, fluffy and not overly sweet. It was perfect and she did enjoy it. Gave the rest for her to enjoy w her morning coffee. 06.03.22~ came originally for this drink. Lavender Taro Latte was so yum! Highly recommended. Very subtle and not strong the Lavender. The combo was Perfect along w the right sweetness. Tried the mochi donuts and this time around. The donut was really good. I know they don't make the mochi donuts along w their breads in house. So they are limited daily. But the Mochi was the right chewiness and delicious! Tip~ they do have a reward program you can sign up to earn points w every purchase. Sign up at the end of the transaction. The bakery boba shop is simple, cute and really small. No sitting area inside but they do have some chairs and tables outside to the side of the shop. Service is always good here. And usually fast. Lots of parking available but it is in a busy shopping area. Located near Target & next door to Crumbl cookie.

Hawaiian latte with boba ftw

This is my go-to boba place whenever I'm in the area. They have a lot of drink options but I always get their Hawaiian latte. I've never had anything like it! If you like a good strong latte, that's the drink for you. It's not as strong as a Vietnamese coffee (which they also have) but it'll give you that caffeine boost for sure!

I got the Nutella bread, which I thought would have a crunchy coating on the outside but it was literally just bread with Nutella inside for $2.75. The bread was soft and sweet but I felt that they definitely could have added more filling, or at least something extra to give it more texture. Very similar to 85 degrees but I prefer 85 over Sunmerry. No actual seating inside, but they had some tables outside. The drink menu looked so good and diverse that my review might have been better considering that. Overall, come early for more options (like all bakeries, my mistake for coming later).

I love the stuffed animals and random Knick knacks they sell!

I love this place! I get the peach green tea with boba and it's always perfect at 50% sweetness for me, the chocolate croissant is incredible! The ambience of this cute cafe is so warm and welcoming, the girls behind the counter know what's on their menu and are kind enough to give recommendations. This place is perfect date spot too!

The classic Jasmine Green Tea w/cheese foam and boba toppings.

Is it every too cold for boba milk tea? It's a cold Wednesday afternoon and still patrons like me are getting our fix at Sunmerry. Nothing can really compare to that unique mix of tea leaves, 50% less sugar (syrup), frothy foam, and, of course, those nice chewy boba pearls. This Sunmerry location, not as big as Rolling Heights or San Gabriel, is located in the same plaza as Target. I got the jasmine green tea with cheese foam and drink is super yummy. To compliment my drink. I grabbed the green tea mochi-donut, which in my opinion is overrated. I should've stuck with my go-go chocolate chip croissant. Occasionally, Sunmerry have day-old bread selections so snatch those up when opportunities arise. My only suggestions is the venue needs to have more promotions -- as boba shops supporting tea craze has been popping up more in OC (still not as saturated in SGV).

Maple Cold Brew Latte

Neat little coffee shop/asian bakery located right across Brea Mall next to Target. The employees here are very welcoming and theres a huge selection of drinks ranging from coffee to boba. Theres a good selection of pastries, so I got the mochi taro bread and ordered the maple cold brew latte. Personally, I'm not a big fan of maple syrup, but it sounded interesting and it was hands down delicious. There is a nice balance between sweet/bitter and the maple syrup doesn't completely overpower the coffee flavor nor is it unnoticeable. Pastry was chewy and paired well with the latte.

Nutella Cookie Bun and Pineapple Tart

Asian pastries with Taiwan flavors. @sunmerrycoffee breads, pastries and mochi donuts Coffee, Boba, Tea and Smoothies They have also partnered up with Happy Lemon This time, I came early so I had a lot more to choose from. The ones we tried this time were so delicious, soft and yummy! Shredded pork Portuguese egg tarts Coconut Raisin Bolo Milk Butter Dirty Bun My favorite was the Coconut Raisin!! Good coconut flavor!! It is a small place so it's probably better to get to go. And, their pastries are brought in. Great variety to choose from.

green tea cheese foam
Kayden C.

Sunmerry! Stay merry! Cuz it's refreshing and a sunny drink for sure (the green tea cheese foam)! Bummed because I was hoping they still had Happy Lemon but unfortunately they've parted ways for now. Still a great drink (though a bit pricey at $5.5 as I usually get these type of drinks for $4-5 at my local shops). Chewy boba and sweet like grimace ice cream. Helpful service at the front and ambiance was normal.

Ask the Community - Sunmerry Coffee

Do they take clean personal cups?

Hi Jessica, we don't have a standard policy on this, so apologies if you get different answers depending on who's on bar at the time. We aren't able to make the drink directly into your cup but can make it in a shaker or other non-disposable cup…

Do you have gluten free donuts or sweet bakery items?

Hi Jackie, we do not have gluten free items at the moment, but our bakers and head chef are working on it!

Why are the mochi donuts not available every day?

They are available every day now!

Are the mochi donuts back?

Yes. Wednesday's and weekends usually. Just call in the mornings to check or follow the Instagram as it is always posted when the donuts will be! :)

Did this place become Sunmerry Coffee?

Hi, yes! All the coffee drinks are the same, we just added Sunmerry bakery and Happy Lemon tea drinks.

I got the earl grey matcha which are two of my favorite flavors it was of course delicious. Food: They had just rolled out a new menu that includes a slice of sourdough bread and butter for 5$. I'm really working on cutting out the sweet treats (which they have plenty of) so it was perfect for me. They also have wholesome foods such as breakfast sandwiches and burritos which-- if I didn't have dinner plans after my study session-- is always appreciated as too often the food at coffee shops are sugary pastries and a bunch of empty calories. Service was friendly and personable. Communitea shows its dedication to being a warm, welcoming third-space environment. There is a shelf filled with board games and a kids play area (if you have one of those). They have assorted merchandise like coffee beans, plants, mugs, chips & snacks, etc.. There were flyers for all types of events throughout the month. I don't often write reviews I don't even live anywhere near Brea, but I would love to see this business thrive if not expand.

Otherwise, they have a good amount of indoor seating with plenty of room for strollers - it's very kid friendly here. This was a coffee drink I'd come back for again and again. The pastry case looked inviting but I was stuffed from lunch so passed. But dang, they amazed me with that smokey maple latte!

My friend ordered the Lavender Matcha and felt similarly, it was decent but nothing that particularly stood out. Service was a bit mixed. This is my 5-6th time here and Ive finally perfected my order!…read more Pros: To start off, today I got the Iced Vanilla Latte and it's my new go-to! It's incredibly delicious and perfect this us my second day in a row here. My friend usually gets a flavored Matcha which is great, but got a Peach barley tea and said it was refreshing. The service is good, they get the drinks out fast. The menu has unique specialty options aswell. There is a good amount of seating and it's a very welcoming shop. Cons: -The sizing is very small for the price. A plain vanilla latte is $6.40 which is a bit steep. However, I understand that most cafes are pretty pricey now a day. (With that being said this is one of the only places i'd spend my money on.) -I have tried some of their specialty lattes and they are extremely sweet(I would recommend getting less sweet if youre more of a espresso person) -Parking is pretty terrible apart from early mornings Overall: The pros overlook the cons for me and I love this coffee shop! Worth the drive and is definitely my top 3. I would definitely recommend this place.

The café has a bright, cozy, and minimalist atmosphere with warm wood tones and soft pink accents. The space is clean and well maintained. They also have a nice selection of pastries and breads, including different kinds of croissants and salt bread. I ordered The Usual, their cream-top latte. The cream was very thick and heavy, almost like whipped cream, so I think it may be a matter of personal preference. The coffee itself was decent, but I didn't find the flavor particularly unique or memorable. The staff were friendly and the service was good. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, but I didn't find anything particularly special about the coffee itself.

Omg! I just moved to the North OC area, and I'm happy to say I've found one of my new go-to coffee…read moreshop study spots in the area! :) I'm currently studying for a big exam, and it's been surprisingly challenging finding coffee shops to study at with the beautiful, modern, aesthetic ambience that makes me happy, without feeling anxious there won't be enough seats or space when I get there, esp since I have to drive a decent amount to get to cafes. I've been getting a little stir crazy at home and finally making the trek here was so worth it-- I felt more motivated than ever to get work done with a tasty treat. I'm not sure if it's because CSUF just started this week, or because I came on a Friday morning, but it was really spacious and open with tons of outlets (almost at each table). Not sure how other days are, but I'd love to bring my study group friends here in the future, since it's so hard to find places with enough space for study groups! Not to mention the clean bathroom haha and good wifi haha The staff here is also incredibly sweet and friendly, making it a comfortable and good experience. Because it was my first time, I asked the barista about her recommendation, and she also asked my general preferences to cater to my taste, and I ended up with a seasonal Birthday Cake Americano at half sweetness (since I don't have much of a sweet tooth). It was perfect for me! I don't usually get Americanos and have a sensitive stomach rn, but it was delicious and kind on my stomach lol. I also got a ham and cheese croissant, and maybe it could've been heated up a little more, but I did wait a bit to eat it, so it was no big deal. The other barista was also so sweet in answering my many questions haha The only struggle as others have mentioned is the parking - I ended up parking at the retail parking nearby, which had plenty of spots but can get pretty pricey, and it sounds like you can park in the areas others have mentioned still (like The Hub I guess has "New Here" parking spots or the employee parking spots?), so I'll need to look more next time. But there's quite a bit around the area within walking distance, you can easily make a day out of it too. Also since it is at the first floor of an apartment in a college town, there will be students going in and out, so just be prepared for that haha -- reminded me of dorm days, and I'm glad students have a spot like this :) Overall, the yummy coffee, amazing vibe and beautiful ambiance, especially as a study spot, alongside the kind and comfortable service has been just what I've been looking for in a coffee shop around here, and I'm excited to return! Thank you New Here!

But fear not, you can go into the structure, park in one of the "employee only" spots, and just tell them which spot and you're golden (wish I knew that before I came and parked across the street). Also, another reason why this place is great is that it's not full at all. Might be because of the parking situation, but the place is near empty which makes it have a nice luxury vibe. Their Vanilla Thesis drink at 50% sweet is soooo good. It's a great blend of coffee and tastes great. You can totally taste the vanilla. Their ham and cheese croissant is also great.
