Came here today for the first time since I was close by I decided to stop in. Customer service was excellent, the girl who took my order was very friendly and helpful when I told her it was my first time. I ordered the strawberry lychee black iced tea based on her recommendation. It was pretty good, but I wouldn't say it's outta this world. It's a little too sweet, maybe I should have ordered it with 75% sweetness. Inside the place is spacious but there is zero seating. There are a few standing tables and that's it. Outside there are only 2 small tables with two chairs. I would say this place is 3.5 due to the lack of seating. I like hanging out at coffee shops and enjoy sitting and relaxing, and you can't really do that here. I guess this is more of a to go place, but for me that's what Starbucks is for. read more

Sunmerry coffee never disappoints, I should come here more often lol. It's so close by I don't know why I don't maybe I will so I can try more of their delicious flavors lol. They have cute decorations for Halloween, they also moved things around since the last time I came here. They had autumn new flavors, which I didn't see until after I ordered the delicious Dalgona honeycomb latte which is absolutely delicious and wakes you up all at once. They changed the tops I noticed to a yellow color and they added another plant and move things around and we saw the girl that was there the last time we were here my best friend and I came with our two kids got them a doughnut mochi one they enjoyed it, of course. If you haven't tried their mochi taro you're missing out. The mochi was perfectly chewy. Their einspaner (cream latte) w oatmilk was delicious, had a strong coffee flavor, and not syrup-y. Can't really go wrong with the Vietnamese coffee, you are able to modify the sweetness of the drinks, which is pretty nice. I've also tried their London Smog. I am a sucker for earl grey tea and I thought it was a good balance with espresso, milk, and vanilla sweetener. Really enjoyed it. They have variety kinds of bagels and cream cheeses too that I will definitely try next time. As for the service, it's decent. The times I've come here, I would be the only customer so my drinks come out very quick. As for the workers, they can be a tad bit more friendly to customers that come in, I feel. I mean it's not busy, it doesn't hurt to say hi instead of rushing to take our order. Would easily be 5 stars if it wasn't for those encounters. The baristas weren't unfriendly, but didn't talk to us at all except asking if we were ready to order. They have cute things for sale. Interesting menu. We only got one pastry which now I'm regretting because it was so delicious - the Nutella Cookie Bun! Drinks we got the Einspanner & Dalgona Toffee Iced Lattes x2 times. Both were deliciously strong. Boba is my jam so when I find out about a place I have not tried, it is a must try. We were driving around the area so figured we should make a quick stop after a day of shopping. The location is in the same plaza as Target. Its a small little tea shop with the usual flavored bubble teas. They do have some pastries available too. The actual place is small and I would suggest to get your drinks to go or sit outside. They have an area for merchandise that is very kawaii. 12.04.22 came on a Sunday evening to look for a cake for my moms bday while dining in the same plaza for her bday dinner. There was a switch of plan so we ended up coming over to Stonefire. I forgot that this location Sunmerry don't have that much selections of cake available. They rarely have any cakes. Such a bummer. And they don't provide complimentary candies like Paris Baguette, Korean bakery. We had to settle for the Strawberry Custard cake. It's really simple and i knew my mother loves black coffee and sweet breads every am. So this will be perfect. The cake was soft, fluffy and not overly sweet. It was perfect and she did enjoy it. Gave the rest for her to enjoy w her morning coffee. 06.03.22~ came originally for this drink. Lavender Taro Latte was so yum! Highly recommended. Very subtle and not strong the Lavender. The combo was Perfect along w the right sweetness. Tried the mochi donuts and this time around. The donut was really good. I know they don't make the mochi donuts along w their breads in house. So they are limited daily. But the Mochi was the right chewiness and delicious! Tip~ they do have a reward program you can sign up to earn points w every purchase. Sign up at the end of the transaction. The bakery boba shop is simple, cute and really small. No sitting area inside but they do have some chairs and tables outside to the side of the shop. This is my go-to boba place whenever I'm in the area. They have a lot of drink options but I always get their Hawaiian latte. I've never had anything like it! If you like a good strong latte, that's the drink for you. It's not as strong as a Vietnamese coffee (which they also have) but it'll give you that caffeine boost for sure! read more

The bread was soft and sweet but I felt that they definitely could have added more filling, or at least something extra to give it more texture. Very similar to 85 degrees but I prefer 85 over Sunmerry. No actual seating inside, but they had some tables outside. The drink menu looked so good and diverse that my review might have been better considering that. Overall, come early for more options (like all bakeries, my mistake for coming later). read more

This Sunmerry location, not as big as Rolling Heights or San Gabriel, is located in the same plaza as Target. I got the jasmine green tea with cheese foam and drink is super yummy. To compliment my drink. I grabbed the green tea mochi-donut, which in my opinion is overrated. I should've stuck with my go-go chocolate chip croissant. Occasionally, Sunmerry have day-old bread selections so snatch those up when opportunities arise. My only suggestions is the venue needs to have more promotions -- as boba shops supporting tea craze has been popping up more in OC (still not as saturated in SGV). read more

Kinda disappointing a lot of the stuff I saw on their yelp wasn't available to order at the store. We came around 2:30 pm and most of their pastries were gone. I'd say it definitely reminds me of an 85° but alot smaller menu and variety. The interior is really small but cute and cozy. It's definitely not a hangout and chill space considering there's no seating. I tried their raspberry mocha and the brown sugar coffee. The raspberry mocha was perfect not too sweet and the coffee wasn't overly strong. I can say the same goes for the brown sugar coffee. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Environment: It's been a rough 2 weeks, so I decided to treat myself to some new coffee! I've driven by this place multiple times while going on a Target run. I was confused because I saw a menu for Happy Lemon outside. I found out they are in partnership with Happy Lemon, and I thought that was so cool! Very smart business tactic to bring in more foot traffic for coffee and boba lovers. Walking in, it's a very small place, but there's outdoor seating. Perfect spot to grab coffee & enjoy the sunny weather. Staff: The staff was very nice. The cashier was very knowledgeable about the products they offered. I asked him what drink would best suit me because I like sweet coffee, but not too sweet: a sweet drink where the coffee flavor still comes through. He recommended me the Vanilla Bean Supreme, and I said "Sounds delicious. Let's do that." They also offer catering services and other special offers which I thought was very cool. Check them out if you'd like. Drinks: As mentioned above, I tried the Vanilla Bean Supreme. I was told this drink included real vanilla beans with freshly made vanilla syrup. If you enjoy vanilla with your coffee, this is the drink for you. It's a bit sweet, but you can still taste the coffee flavor. Price: $$ Prices were a bit more than average for their sizes. I think my drink cost a bit more since their vanilla syrup are house made. My total came out to $6.50 with tip included. read more

A cute little shop in a large plaza. I've been to the one in Irvine before and initially thought it was the same with happy lemon and cakes but this place only has coffee/tea and breads/mochi donuts. I've become very fond of Sunmerry. We've been here many times throughout the last few years. Our recent routine has been drop the kid off at daycare on Fridays and then go to Sunmerry for their coffee/tea, and $1 bread deal (but we end up getting a lot more than the $1 breads). The only thing is I haven't been able to find a good coffee that I like here unfortunately maybe because I always get it iced? Today, I tried the Hawaiian Latte hot and I quite liked it. I would probably come back for that. Breads are always fresh and delicious, though a bit pricey. We don't mind though because we go through the breads within a week pretty easily. Service is always quick because there's no wait usually. I'd say it's a good alternative to 85 if you're wanting to go to a more low-key place. Of course, we'll be back soon. read more

YAY! I visited this location on the way home from Irivne. I was really hoping it would be good since it took over an hour to get here due to traffic and I have never visited this location before. I always go to the City of Industry (Happy Lemon) location since its closer to me. This place inside is very cute! I don't believe this location had indoor seating though. They have cute paper menus that you can take home and look over. They were super cute I took one home just because. They also have super cute keychains and pins. I wanted to buy them all. I ordered a milk tea with easy boba and easy ice and it was SO good. Definitely worth the hour drive. The two cashiers were friendly as well. They didn't have much pastries left though since I got here around 630/7pm. Will absolutely be visiting if I'm ever in the Brea area again. read more

In the mood for a lavender latte with oat milk but my regular spot was closed today so I made my way over to Sunmerry after calling to confirm they served lavender lattes. Cute little coffee shop that offers the typical asian bakery items that my kids love. Also has a little section that sells cute little boba keychains and giftable items. I got 2 of the hotdog buns and a pork sung bun that was only $1 with a purchase of any coffee (great deal since my daughter loves the pork sung bun). The lavender latte was pretty good, not too sweet and has a nice lavender aroma to it. I still prefer my regular spot as the oat milk didn't have actual oats in it and the coffee wasn't as rich. Located across the street from the Brea mall, Sunmerry is a cute little shop with a good-sized menu and wide variety of baked goodies. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We ordered a matcha latte with soy milk and a hazelnut mocha cream. The hazelnut mocha cream was pretty good, with a stronger coffee flavor than most mochas that I've tried. Sadly, the matcha latte was bad - watered down to the point where I could really only taste the milk. Pretty disappointed considering the price for a small cup. Wow! What a great little spot in brea! Sunmerry was a happy coffee accident. I was scrolling on Yelp as one does and I saw Sunmerry advertising a Hawaiian latte! I knew that was something I needed to have. I was lucky enough to catch them before they closed up shop. I do recommend going in earlier in the day if you're interested in their baked goods because when I arrived they were all sold out. I was however able to get my hands on a Japanese cheesecake. While I was waiting for my order I noticed that each drink was carefully hand crafted and made to order. The Hawaiian was a great creamy sweet nutty coffee that was a real Hawaiian treat. Mine was a little tooo much on the sweet side but still a nice strong latte. The cheesecake was also a perfect little addition to my latte. The bread here is so good! I actually prefer the bread here over other similar Asian bakeries. It's soft, not overly sweet, and has great flavor. We like the mushroom bread, the brioche, and the hot dog ones. They also have boba drinks and coffee. My kids like the iced white peach oolong tea and my husband likes their hot Hawaiian latte. It's an expresso drink with both coconut and macadamia nut syrup. I like that there is something for everyone. The staff here is friendly and welcoming. Had a great experience at Summery Coffee & Bread! This is a cute little boba and pastry shop right by Target and Crumbl in Brea. I've been here multiple times and what really stands out to me if their boba. They have a ton of different boba options and all have been delicious for me. I've tried the Thai tea, hibiscus peach, and oolong peach. All are very refreshing. You can control the sweetness level on the drinks if you don't want an overwhelmingly sweet drink. The pastries at Sunmerry are good but not exceptional. I've had a few including the green tea croissant, black sesame bun, and egg tart. They get the job done but aren't really there in comparison to an 85 degrees. The service here is always exceptional with very friendly workers. I've always liked sunmerry and would go to the one in Rowland heights but so happy that they opened one in brea because it's much more convenient for me. Although they dont have a bakery at this location, they have a good selection of bread and desserts. I also love that they have deals sometimes like happy hour drinks in the afternoon and dollar breads with coffee. I love their tea drinks as it isn't too sweet and you can taste the tea. So happy to see a Sunmerry closer to north OC! I've been a fan of Sunmerry's pastries and drinks for a while now, but making the effort to go to Irvine or Rowland Heights was a bit out of the way. Lo and behold - Sunmerry in Brea! Located in the Target plaza, next to the Great Clips - it's a small storefront, but has a nice selection of pastries, mochi donuts and pretty much the full Happy Lemon drink menu, yay! They carry my favorite BBQ pork bolo bun and Oreo milk tea, yum. We also tried their mochi donuts (note: it was Sunday around 3pm so probably not the freshest batch) and ended up with black sesame, matcha and pumpkin spice. Maybe because they weren't fresh, but these were not light and chewy like other mochi donuts I've tried, and the glazes/frostings on top were quite thick and sweet. Super friendly workers, I say stick with their drinks and pastries and avoid the mochi donuts unless they're fresh. read more

This rating is only regarding the mochi donuts. I saw reviews nearly praising how good these were but my experience fell short of that. I reallyyy wanted to like these and was hoping that these were on the same quality tier as Sunmerry Bakery's pastries. But I think because the donuts are made at this location (unlike the wrapped pastries), there is little quality control. The taste was lackluster, the icing was the best part of the donuts. But overall, I hate how oily they were. I didn't mind that they were not as chewy as other mochi donuts spots. But after eating one, it left such a bad aftertaste because of the grease. I bought four in total but after eating one, I really wasn't looking forward to trying another one/: pretty sad about these, if you want to try some mochi donuts please look elsewhere. This is a great location for drinks and pastries that my wife and I often pick up at. Today I called to check if they were open for Memorial Day and the girl that answered was kind and not short with me like I've experienced at other businesses. I then submitted an online order and it was ready when I got there. While I was taking my order to the car, I clumsily tipped one of the iced coffees over and it spilled in the bag. I went back into the store fully ready to purchase another, but the man behind the counter (owner/manager) was understanding and made a replacement free of charge. The girl behind the counter was also attentive and ready to make the drink. What I appreciated was that they were both pleasant about the experience and looked for my input on how they could prevent the issue from happening in the future (even if it was my fault). Thank you!
