If you haven't tried their mochi taro you're missing out. The mochi was perfectly chewy. Their einspaner (cream latte) w oatmilk was delicious, had a strong coffee flavor, and not syrup-y. Service was friendly and efficient as well. There is another sunmerry closer to my house but I will make the drive for this location.

Quick stop after a target run. Iced vanilla latte and galaxy lemonade. Lemonade perfectly sweet and looks cool a good drink for kids or adults. Iced vanilla latte was great, sweet but can still taste the coffee. Pastries are available, but there wasn't a lot of selection in the afternoon when we went. Service was good, friendly, cashier struck up short conversation. Minus one star only because no inside seating. There is inside standing room. Overall, would recommend for quick coffee run.

Boyfriend found this place while waiting for me and took me here to check this place out. I went with him near closing time. The baristas weren't unfriendly, but didn't talk to us at all except asking if we were ready to order. They have cute things for sale. Interesting menu. We only got one pastry which now I'm regretting because it was so delicious - the Nutella Cookie Bun! Drinks we got the Einspanner & Dalgona Toffee Iced Lattes x2 times. Both were deliciously strong. If we lived closer and/or returned for a business trip nearby, we will definitely be coming back!

My Go to is a hot Hawaii latte! So good. Service and quality are amazing. Cute little spot! A must try!

12.04.22 came on a Sunday evening to look for a cake for my moms bday while dining in the same plaza for her bday dinner. There was a switch of plan so we ended up coming over to Stonefire. I forgot that this location Sunmerry don't have that much selections of cake available. They rarely have any cakes. Such a bummer. And they don't provide complimentary candies like Paris Baguette, Korean bakery. We had to settle for the Strawberry Custard cake. It's really simple and i knew my mother loves black coffee and sweet breads every am. So this will be perfect. The cake was soft, fluffy and not overly sweet. It was perfect and she did enjoy it. Gave the rest for her to enjoy w her morning coffee. 06.03.22~ came originally for this drink. Lavender Taro Latte was so yum! Highly recommended. Very subtle and not strong the Lavender. The combo was Perfect along w the right sweetness. Tried the mochi donuts and this time around. The donut was really good. I know they don't make the mochi donuts along w their breads in house. So they are limited daily. But the Mochi was the right chewiness and delicious! Tip~ they do have a reward program you can sign up to earn points w every purchase. Sign up at the end of the transaction. The bakery boba shop is simple, cute and really small. No sitting area inside but they do have some chairs and tables outside to the side of the shop. Service is always good here. And usually fast. Lots of parking available but it is in a busy shopping area. Located near Target & next door to Crumbl cookie.

    Hawaiian latte with boba ftw

This is my go-to boba place whenever I'm in the area. They have a lot of drink options but I always get their Hawaiian latte. I've never had anything like it! If you like a good strong latte, that's the drink for you. It's not as strong as a Vietnamese coffee (which they also have) but it'll give you that caffeine boost for sure!

I got the Nutella bread, which I thought would have a crunchy coating on the outside but it was literally just bread with Nutella inside for $2.75. The bread was soft and sweet but I felt that they definitely could have added more filling, or at least something extra to give it more texture. Very similar to 85 degrees but I prefer 85 over Sunmerry. No actual seating inside, but they had some tables outside. The drink menu looked so good and diverse that my review might have been better considering that. Overall, come early for more options (like all bakeries, my mistake for coming later).

I love the stuffed animals and random Knick knacks they sell!

I love this place! I get the peach green tea with boba and it's always perfect at 50% sweetness for me, the chocolate croissant is incredible! The ambience of this cute cafe is so warm and welcoming, the girls behind the counter know what's on their menu and are kind enough to give recommendations. This place is perfect date spot too!

The classic Jasmine Green Tea w/cheese foam and boba toppings.

Is it every too cold for boba milk tea? It's a cold Wednesday afternoon and still patrons like me are getting our fix at Sunmerry. Nothing can really compare to that unique mix of tea leaves, 50% less sugar (syrup), frothy foam, and, of course, those nice chewy boba pearls. This Sunmerry location, not as big as Rolling Heights or San Gabriel, is located in the same plaza as Target. I got the jasmine green tea with cheese foam and drink is super yummy. To compliment my drink. I grabbed the green tea mochi-donut, which in my opinion is overrated. I should've stuck with my go-go chocolate chip croissant. Occasionally, Sunmerry have day-old bread selections so snatch those up when opportunities arise. My only suggestions is the venue needs to have more promotions -- as boba shops supporting tea craze has been popping up more in OC (still not as saturated in SGV).

    Maple Cold Brew Latte
    Jason L.

Neat little coffee shop/asian bakery located right across Brea Mall next to Target. The employees here are very welcoming and theres a huge selection of drinks ranging from coffee to boba. Theres a good selection of pastries, so I got the mochi taro bread and ordered the maple cold brew latte. Personally, I'm not a big fan of maple syrup, but it sounded interesting and it was hands down delicious. There is a nice balance between sweet/bitter and the maple syrup doesn't completely overpower the coffee flavor nor is it unnoticeable. Pastry was chewy and paired well with the latte.

Sunmerry! Stay merry! Cuz it's refreshing and a sunny drink for sure (the green tea cheese foam)! Bummed because I was hoping they still had Happy Lemon but unfortunately they've parted ways for now. Still a great drink (though a bit pricey at $5.5 as I usually get these type of drinks for $4-5 at my local shops). Chewy boba and sweet like grimace ice cream. Helpful service at the front and ambiance was normal.

Cute place like a mini 85degrees but no seating outside or inside. I came 2 hours before closing and ... the donut was chewy in the stale way and not in the soft way, heating it up did the trick! The boba was horribly soft and mushy and the drink was basically just milk

The emoji breads tempted us with their cuteness, but we were very curious about the Oyaki Mentai Caviar's combination of spicy cod roe and mochi. To be safe, we also got the Mentai Salt & Butter Roll. While we liked the Roll and its crunchy outside/soft inside, we actually loved the Oyaki. The mochi isn't sweet at all, just nicely chewy. Plus, whereas the Roll only had a little bit of spicy cod roe inside, the Oyaki was packed! I say this a lot, but truly, everything looked good. The display cases always have a lot to choose from, so it's fun to grab a variety of things to try. On our visit we picked up quite a mix: the milk bread loaf, cloud cream cake with strawberries, cheesecake, Guava Pie, cream cheese tart, Portuguese egg tart, chocolate muffin, blueberry muffin, caramel apple pie, fruit tart, and a cinnamon twist. The cheesecake was really good -- smooth, creamy, and nicely balanced in sweetness. The cloud cream cake with strawberries was light and fresh, and the milk bread loaf is incredibly soft and perfect to bring home for toast or breakfast. One of our favorites was the cinnamon twist. It was fluffy and delicious, almost like the texture of a malasada. The fruit tart was also beautifully made and a nice lighter option. Not every item necessarily stood out the same way, but overall it's an enjoyable bakery and a convenient local spot when you're craving pastries or want to bring home a mix of sweet treats to share. The shop itself is clean, well organized, and the staff has always been friendly when we stop in. Overall, it's a solid local bakery with a lot of variety, and a nice place to pick up desserts in Brea. Tip: If you're trying a few things, the cheesecake, milk bread, and cinnamon twist were standouts for us.
