I walked into Village Wye Center and found a pair I loved within 10 minutes. I was able to order the lenses in the custom colors I wanted. I got magnetic clip on sunglass lenses for them and a second set of clip on made especially for migraines. After picking up my glasses I walked around for weeks saying randomly to people that I loved my new glasses lol. I still feel this way. Recently I had to change my prescription. They were happy to help me do this, and even fixed a tiny bit of damage I had caused after dropping them. They were ready faster than predicted and they're perfect. I love this store.

I just had a 4-year old (ancient in eyeglasses years btw) pair of Warby Parker wide-sized eyeglasses called the Aubrey that I needed some work done on. I was greeted by a friendly lady whose name, sadly, I did not get despite the fact that she was so cool about bantering and making friendly chit chat. She also wore eyeglasses but other than that I'm sad that I can't be more specific. I told her that I needed some work done on my Aubrey and she proceeded to check me in. I was especially appreciative of her patience while I tried to figure out which one of my many email addresses was associated with the store. So anyway, she checked me in and then I just chilled on one of the benches with my mom for a short wait until Adam fetched me. He was super friendly and also down for chit chatting. I especially appreciated how cool he was with my awkwardly hilarious squinting at him and everyone and everything else while he worked on my eyeglasses -- yeah, my vision is unhinged. Lol. Anyway, this particular Warby Parker store had a great, welcoming vibe. I love the concept of checking in the customers and I love that there are benches where you can relax while waiting. Warby Parker is super modern in the way they do eyeglass retail. Love.

There was a small issue with syncing my previous exam records, so they had to contact support to get it resolved, but they kept me informed and handled it professionally. The email notifications could use some improvement--the scheduling link in the email went to the wrong system--but the scheduling link on the website worked perfectly fine. I didn't buy new frames this time since my prescription didn't change and I'm still happy with my current pair. They do have a wide selection of frames, and while many lean toward the expensive side, the quality looks good and there are plenty of nice options to choose from. Overall, a positive experience and I'll continue coming back.

They are relatively inexpensive as well for their products compared to other places I have shopped in the past (ex. Lenscrafters). Once you find a pair that you like and you're able to provide your prescription, your glasses will be shipped to your house within 7-10 business days. I've always gotten mine before the 10 days are up!

I recently lost a silicone nose piece for a pair of my WP glasses, and visited earlier today. A feature I really appreciate is that whether the shop is busy or not, upon entering I'm greeted by a representative who asks for my email address. Once given, I'm immediately placed in line for whatever service I need. I get a text instantly, letting me know I'm in the queue and will be served in the order I arrived at. This is really, really, important when the shop is busy. Each visit, I've been treated with respect and courtesy; and have been able to resolve my concerns with a minimum of effort. Abood was helping me today, and I've come to trust the staff at the Old Town Alexandria shop for all of my vision needs (although I still rely on my long-time opthalmologist to do the medical and vision exams each year). I'm very favorably impressed with the service, the staff, and the quality of the experience.

I went into the store early June and the staff were okay but clearly annoyed that all I was worth was a $5 sale. I didn't know at the time, but the person who helped me was the manager. I was told it would take a week or two to arrive and they would call me when it did. Three to four weeks goes by and I call for an update and a female employee answers, looks into it and says she expects it to arrive in the next day or so and will call me back. Another few weeks go by with no call and I call to follow up (it's now been close to 2 months) and the parts have arrived and have been in the store for god knows how long and of course no call. I ask for the name of the manager as I would like to share my thoughts on some pretty terrible customer service I've experienced. The female sales person suddenly is not so helpful, can barely muster the name or contact details for the store manager and tells me that I should call back another time as she is new and doesn't know any procedures on how to resolve complaints (e.g. no email, customer service process, when a manager will be back, etc.). At any rate, I recommend you go anywhere but to that location. They've lost a customer in me and I plan to tell anyone and everyone I know not to go there. That one day I may have been a $5 sale and nothing to write home about for your daily sales total or commission if you make any, but that's not to say I wouldn't have purchased more another day or recommended friends to visit that location in the future. Pretty darn poor customer service if I do say so myself and rather unfortunate that you think treating people like that in a customer service industry is okay.
