The store is located in the Tysons2 Galleria and in the third floor where elevators did not work nor this week. I suppose the third floor is the cheapest Tent of this mall as all high and Browns are on the second and first I arrived at 11 AM but had to wait until over 1230 because the lady forgot her store key. Been coming to the store for quite a while and this was my last visit as sometimes they will not charge you tax, but not today. One day the lady is in a good mood she would give you a 10% discount and manager would and I fear to say no...rude and not welcoming for $470 sunglasses you can get a better service elsewhere. Avoid.

Today, 4/23/26, I went in to waste time before my eye exam and peruse through the selection of new frames. I generally spend $2-3k a year on frames. When I walked in, no one greeted me or even acknowledged I was in the store. That was a first. Generally at this location everyone is friendly and helpful. Both workers were engaged in non-work conversation. My daughter and I overheard them speaking. There was no way they could have missed us. We were the only ones in the store. As we worked our way down trying on various frames, another Caucasian lady barely crossed the threshold into the store when one of the workers broke their conversation, and while walking briskly past us, screamed across the store, ' Ma'am, may I help you??'' I looked at my daughter and remarked to her that we'd been in the store for 5 minutes and no one even acknowledged we were there. I wondered if this was a racial issue. As the worker and the woman made their way closer to where my daughter and I continued to try on frames, the worked said, 'Could you move? I'm trying to show her something.' I said, 'Excuse me??' He responded, ' Move so I can show her something.' I said, ' Are you asking me to step aside??' He just waved his hand at me to move. At that moment, my daughter and I were convinced we were being treated poorly bc we're black. My daughter and I walked to the counter to find a manager bc that type of behavior will not be tolerated. A man walked from behind the glass and said, ' What do you need?' I asked him if he was the manager. He kind of agreed that he was kind of the manager. I explained to him what just happened and told him, and the other worker who had by then walked over, that his behavior was rude, dismissive and disrespectful. The worker half heartedly apologized and the so called manager said he would talk to him. I have no doubt the whole ordeal was forgotten the minute we walked out. I'd like to think LensCrafters is better than this. What I can say is that training is in order. I was absolutely livid and in all likelihood will never step foot in this location again. They absolutely do not deserve my business.

I recently (December 30, 2025) ordered a new pair of glasses through their insurance program as my current set was damaged. They said 2 to 3 weeks. Historically, they would deliver glasses in around a week to 10 days. Have been checking in since January 15 and have been told probably 10 times my glasses would be ready in 3 to 5 days. It is now February 5, 2026, and I was told today that my glasses weren't ordered until January 24 and they likely won't be ready until the week of February 16. The employees are nice but clueless. How can you say an order will be ready in 3 to 5 days for weeks and then tell me on February 5 that the glasses weren't actually ordered until January 24. All while I had spoken with them multiple times and was continually told the 3 to 5 days line? Meanwhile I am running around like a Cyclops with basically one good lens in my glasses. At least I am providing entertainment for my wife. I will be taking my future business elsewhere.

After waiting that period of time and not hearing anything, I called the store and spoke to someone who told me that they were still being processed and wouldn't be ready for a couple of weeks. They couldn't explain the discrepancy between their system and the automated one. Regardless, had I known about the extended delay (because I actually need them now), I'd have gone elsewhere. Frustrating.

I purchased my existing frames from My Eye Doctor. My ophthalmologist did not have an opportunity before the holidays to update my lenses with my new prescription and so I took my new prescription to My Eye Doctor to get my lenses updated. I received new lenses with the wrong prescription. I had trouble seeing to drive and fell on stairs (after a recent surgery with open incisions). I had my ophthalmologist double check the lenses and the prescription was significantly off. She put my old lenses back in the frames and I took the new lenses back to My Eye Doctor. The manager Devon Wilson checked the new lenses and came back with a different reading (still off from the prescription). He then proceeded to tell me they were NOT off and "most lensometers are not accurate." He also stated that he doubts the accuracy of my ophthalmologist's reading. He said they would not issue a refund for lenses that have already been made (even though it took two weeks to get the lenses). I told him I would dispute the $800 charge with my credit card company. He continued to repeat his previous comment -- the new lenses are "the correct prescription" - despite the ophthalmologist's reading and the fact that I WORE the glasses which made me dizzy, unable to see well on stairs, and distorted my peripheral vision while driving. The above facts reflect an absurd, incorrect business decision.

The first sketchy element is that the link my wife kept sending me kept taking me to a google search with an alternate name. It appears that they do business under two different names which is kind of shady. But the big problem is that when you try to schedule an appointment on their website, it asks you to choose three different times. This is really bad because in this area many people have jobs and families and you can't just bank on some random time MAYBE being available. So I tried to call in the morning and nobody answered. I tried to call again in the afternoon after I made the appointment and again nobody answered. This was for an appointment the next day. I got two auto-texts saying "sorry we missed your call" so I replied to the texts saying I have a job and four kids and I can't be left hanging on these appointments, and this is a bad first impression after my wife recommended this place. I get a call back FIVE minutes after that text from a someone sounding like a sorority chick who just got dumped by her boyfriend. Huge attitude immediately. She's like "Those are just APPOINTMENT REQUESTS, SIR! We have ONE appointment at 7:45am tomorrow." Okay, well the appointments I thought I signed up for were 2:15, 2:30, and 2:45. So I calmly asked why the website listed 12 appointments for tomorrow and 18 for the next day if none of those were really available. And she just kept replying to everything I said by getting increasingly loud and obnoxious so I finally said, "well I guess I will go to another practice then," and before I could even say thanks and bye, she hung up on me. After this conversation, a lot of stuff is even weirder as I think about it. If the appointments are "just requests," then why were there "no requests" listed today, "12 requests" tomorrow, and "18 requests" the next day? That's totally nonsensical because if nothing is guaranteed then why list ANY times that are definitely not available??? And if you're going to list some times, why not list them all? Still the worst is just the rudeness. If your instant response to someone texting that you made a bad first impression but TRYING TO RECTIFY THE SITUATION BY SETTING A FIRM APPOINTMENT is to call them back in a haughty tone, then perhaps you should not be employed in customer service. Or, maybe the front desk person was out today and I was called by a doctor. But that just makes things even worse. Anyway, imagine potentially gaining 5 new customers (the rest of my family) and instead losing one (my wife) with just one phone call! Amazing. Anyway btw I got an appointment at MyEyeDr in the Boro same day today and they were actually nice...

If I didn't pay for it, "...then we might have to dilate your eyes..." to continue the exam. I didn't appreciate the implication that I "might" require my eyes to be dilated...but that if I paid an extra $39 then I wouldn't. Doubt I'll be going back there. And it's unfortunate because I've been going there for years without this exam. Anything to make more money I guess.
