You know... I used to go to this location annually for glasses when I lived in McLean. My eye…read moredoctor is right next door and it was convenient. Today, 4/23/26, I went in to waste time before my eye exam and peruse through the selection of new frames. I generally spend $2-3k a year on frames. When I walked in, no one greeted me or even acknowledged I was in the store. That was a first. Generally at this location everyone is friendly and helpful. Both workers were engaged in non-work conversation. My daughter and I overheard them speaking. There was no way they could have missed us. We were the only ones in the store. As we worked our way down trying on various frames, another Caucasian lady barely crossed the threshold into the store when one of the workers broke their conversation, and while walking briskly past us, screamed across the store, ' Ma'am, may I help you??'' I looked at my daughter and remarked to her that we'd been in the store for 5 minutes and no one even acknowledged we were there. I wondered if this was a racial issue. As the worker and the woman made their way closer to where my daughter and I continued to try on frames, the worked said, 'Could you move? I'm trying to show her something.' I said, 'Excuse me??' He responded, ' Move so I can show her something.' I said, ' Are you asking me to step aside??' He just waved his hand at me to move. At that moment, my daughter and I were convinced we were being treated poorly bc we're black. My daughter and I walked to the counter to find a manager bc that type of behavior will not be tolerated. A man walked from behind the glass and said, ' What do you need?' I asked him if he was the manager. He kind of agreed that he was kind of the manager. I explained to him what just happened and told him, and the other worker who had by then walked over, that his behavior was rude, dismissive and disrespectful. The worker half heartedly apologized and the so called manager said he would talk to him. I have no doubt the whole ordeal was forgotten the minute we walked out. I'd like to think LensCrafters is better than this. What I can say is that training is in order. I was absolutely livid and in all likelihood will never step foot in this location again. They absolutely do not deserve my business.

Highly do NOT recommend…read more 1. The doctors are not the same anymore! Keeping only 1 doctor to show up once a month and acting like it is the same clinic is not right, actively confusing patients. 2. New management is all about money! Pay pay pay. Even with insurance. Make sure you double check AGAIN, or else, they may have worked with your insurance in the past, that does NOT mean, this new management is in the list. 3. Plan to spend 30 more mins. The original doctors did NOT sell your data to them, which is awesome. If you are like me, showed up without knowing everything and everyone changed, you will spend half an hour filling up endless paperwork and they don't bother tell you this beforehand intentionally, cause they don't want you to know it is different people took over the old-name. They just wanna continue getting the clients without disclosing the change. 4. Terrible service! Will treat you like an idiot and all the high-tech checkup is not anymore. Just go a different clinic, there are so many around. No need to stress with poor service, bad treatment and uncomfortable environment.

I went to this office last year so this review is long overdue. I am reviewing now because I just…read morefound the receipts where they billed me and my husband $638 for our annual exam. I also noticed similar trends/similar experiences of other patients so felt it my duty to include mine. The reception was a little impatient when I called in to book an appointment to look at available dates for Dr. Goldberg. In-person, all the receptionists seemed annoyed when we tried talking to them so my husband and I didn't feel very comfortable in the waiting area. At the conclusion of the exam, they advised us that they didn't take our vision insurance. This was a little upsetting, considering I had to fill out a form and provide them my insurance *before* they conducted the examination. It would have been nice to be informed that they didn't accept my insurance beforehand but since we were already there, I suppose they didn't want to lose out on earnings. We were billed a total of $638 for an annual exam ($319 each), which we paid out of pocket. No, I assure you that this did not include digital retinal screening or other advanced forms of technology. It was your typical vision exam. Considering the customer service and how average the examination was, I do not feel this merited the exorbitant price point. Although Dr. Goldberg was not involved in the incidents I mentioned above, I do still hold him accountable since this is his practice. The onus is on Dr. Goldberg to ensure that his staff are not lacking in integrity or alienating customers but it could also suggest that this type of behavior trickles from the top down. Either way, I do not advise on coming here.

I recently (December 30, 2025) ordered a new pair of glasses through their insurance program as my current set was damaged. They said 2 to 3 weeks. Historically, they would deliver glasses in around a week to 10 days. Have been checking in since January 15 and have been told probably 10 times my glasses would be ready in 3 to 5 days. It is now February 5, 2026, and I was told today that my glasses weren't ordered until January 24 and they likely won't be ready until the week of February 16. The employees are nice but clueless. How can you say an order will be ready in 3 to 5 days for weeks and then tell me on February 5 that the glasses weren't actually ordered until January 24. All while I had spoken with them multiple times and was continually told the 3 to 5 days line? Meanwhile I am running around like a Cyclops with basically one good lens in my glasses. At least I am providing entertainment for my wife. I will be taking my future business elsewhere.

After waiting that period of time and not hearing anything, I called the store and spoke to someone who told me that they were still being processed and wouldn't be ready for a couple of weeks. They couldn't explain the discrepancy between their system and the automated one. Regardless, had I known about the extended delay (because I actually need them now), I'd have gone elsewhere. Frustrating.

The doctor Susan Wiley, has very little patience to explain the differences between brands of contact lens. She appears nice and polite, but does not give concrete answers for any questions. I have been having blurry vision and dizziness for several weeks. When I went back to the store, the staff simply explain that "this is normal for new glasses. You will get used to it." But it never got better. When I asked if I could replace the glass on the contingency of something being wrong; the staff said " just wait to see what the doctor says, okayyyyy~~~".
