You know... I used to go to this location annually for glasses when I lived in McLean. My eye doctor is right next door and it was convenient. Today, 4/23/26, I went in to waste time before my eye exam and peruse through the selection of new frames. I generally spend $2-3k a year on frames. When I walked in, no one greeted me or even acknowledged I was in the store. That was a first. Generally at this location everyone is friendly and helpful. Both workers were engaged in non-work conversation. My daughter and I overheard them speaking. There was no way they could have missed us. We were the only ones in the store. As we worked our way down trying on various frames, another Caucasian lady barely crossed the threshold into the store when one of the workers broke their conversation, and while walking briskly past us, screamed across the store, ' Ma'am, may I help you??'' I looked at my daughter and remarked to her that we'd been in the store for 5 minutes and no one even acknowledged we were there. I wondered if this was a racial issue. As the worker and the woman made their way closer to where my daughter and I continued to try on frames, the worked said, 'Could you move? I'm trying to show her something.' I said, 'Excuse me??' He responded, ' Move so I can show her something.' I said, ' Are you asking me to step aside??' He just waved his hand at me to move. At that moment, my daughter and I were convinced we were being treated poorly bc we're black. My daughter and I walked to the counter to find a manager bc that type of behavior will not be tolerated. A man walked from behind the glass and said, ' What do you need?' I asked him if he was the manager. He kind of agreed that he was kind of the manager. I explained to him what just happened and told him, and the other worker who had by then walked over, that his behavior was rude, dismissive and disrespectful. The worker half heartedly apologized and the so called manager said he would talk to him. I have no doubt the whole ordeal was forgotten the minute we walked out. I'd like to think LensCrafters is better than this. What I can say is that training is in order. I was absolutely livid and in all likelihood will never step foot in this location again. They absolutely do not deserve my business. read more

On November 29, 2025, I visited your Tysons store to buy a pair of Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 glasses. The associate informed me that they would arrive within a week. However, when I returned the following week, they had not yet arrived. Today, December 13, 2025, I called to inquire about the order and was told by another associate that the glasses had been returned. I'm confused because I never picked them up, and I've been waiting for almost two weeks. To make matters worse, I haven't received a refund, nor have I been contacted about this issue. I need my glasses and will now have to place a new order. This experience has been very frustrating, and I'm currently on hold waiting for a manager to address my concerns - I've already been waiting for 15 minutes. I been a customer of LensCrafters for about 5 years now and a white hair gentleman always treats us (family) with a great attitude, respect and a awesome customer service. BUT this years we have an issue with one of our lenses and we went back for a how can we improve or avoid the nose pain of the lenses weight so "Ms. Wendy" went to help us, we explain the situation and after that she just ignored us jumping with taking care other customers, phone calls and leaving us waiting and waiting. At the end like 30 minutes after, she change the middle plastic lenses support for a bigger one and told us to come back if they still hurt. We come back a week after and again "Ms. Wendy" took us and like the first time she just walk away again, leaving us waiting on the register, but this time we got taking care with another gentleman .... For her treatment I will give a minus 10 but score isn't allowed. "Ms Wendy" is the worst customer service representative. Everyone seems helpful and friendly. They can be very busy but it might have been close to the end of the year. I got my pair of glasses from them. My prescription was a little off so I got them redone and Lens crafters replaced my lens for free. They're a bit pricey but I think they offer quality frames and great selections on name brand. read more

As a past customer, LensCrafters has been routinely emailing me promotional advertising; the more recent one stated that "you were here for us, now we (LensCrafters) are here for you." Generally, their ads offer special discounted eyeglass sales in their promotions. Over the years, I have bought 2 pairs of glasses from LensCrafters. One pair, which I wear all the time, had become partially occluded from a filmy protective covering they put over the lens. This covering has affected the clarity of my vision by creating splotchy spots on the lens. So I contacted a LensCrafters shop at Tyson's Corner Mall, VA, to ask them if they would replace the defective lens. I was not asking for a free service. Their staff was curt and adamant about my need to provide a new prescription before they could do it. Now, I told them that I don't need a new Rx because my most recent annual opthomologist exam indicated no change in my vision. Moreover, I was not asking for a different lens but rather only a replacement of my existing lens for which they have my Rx in their files. In short, the LensCrafters eyeglass lens had degraded over time because of the deteriorating covering that they placed over the lens. Apparently their above advertising was insincere because "they were not here for me." I had contacted their Luxottica Customer Care division on the matter but have received no meaningful reply. I would recommend that when seeking eyeware, new or replacement, that you patronize other Companies who have more customer-friendly practices. Contrary to their advertisement, LensCrafters is "not there for you." ----- In response to Matthew W, Business Owner: It appears that the "right hand does not know what the left hand is doing." I am giving one star to this store because there is no "Zero" star option. I ordered a sun glass for my dad and the sales typed wrong prescription to my order. We waited a week and got a sun glass with totally different prescription on it and my dad needs it immediately. I'm writing this review in light of the customer service and management. I walked-in to get my nose pads replaced. During the process, one of the employees accidentally broke my frames. He was very apologetic and assured me that they'll "take good care of me." The glasses held significant sentimental value as it was the pair that I was wearing when I was dating and adventuring with my wife-to-be, when I proposed to her, when I married her, and when I saw my child born. I was distraught. I had a chance to talk to Mike, the manager of the store, and he truly lived up to his employee's promise and made the process incredibly quick & easy. Arrived for my appointment as the doctor was leaving for the evening. Even after I showed my confirmation, the woman argued that I didn't make an appointment. Since I drove out of my way to come, I was not at all impressed with the lack of service. I understand the doctor had left, but there could have been a bit of an effort to make an appointment for me. This was my first time at LensCrafters, and I had such a pleasant experience. The women at the front desk were friendly and helpful, explained all of what my insurance covered. The doctor answered all my questions and was very polite. I've also never been able to leave with an order of contacts in the same day, so that was a great plus! A member of my family needed glasses and supposedly, the woman put in the order but when we came to pick up the glasses, we were informed that no order was placed. How is that even possible? It's annoying as a paying customer that you have to come in multiple times because a sales person lies to you. Also, be careful of the upsell. She was touting the benefits of blue light reduction on lenses and when I asked her for any articles she had that I could read, she told me to just google it and I should find something on the internet. I spent a god awful amount of money to buy glasses here against my better judgement after reading the negative reviews. I had a pleasant experience during the buying process but they charge 3 times what Warbyparker.com charges. Luxottica has a stranglehold on the corrective vision industry and they feel they can charge whatever they want and treat their customers however they want and we will just keep coming back. I should have just gone with Warby Parker because it's been 15 business days and I just got a call saying it's going to be another 2 days before my shipment arrives at the store. I was told 7-10 DAYS initially, but apparently that is wrong. 7-10 business days is apparently a lie that 4 individual reps told me and that those reps will now be scolded because the real estimate is 14 business days, one suggestion, don't feign as if someone is going to receive punishment over phrasing multiple employees have used. So, it's supposed to be 14 business days now? How convenient that the 14th business day was Friday. Too bad we are going to be at 17 business days since my initial order. Nothing but empty platitudes and worthless apologies. Steer clear of this place. read more

MY entire family has been getting glasses from this place for the last 5 years. the last 2 years they have hired absolutely the worst ppl in customer service. Last year Dianna charged me 200+ after using my insurance for glasses that cost $70 on Amazon. On top of that she was very rude and ignorant. This year I saw a different sales person, Mr. Sayed who rushed me and treated me like an idiot. After trying on 2 pairs of sunglasses, he said, you need to make up your mind fast please, just rude !!! We went to " foreyes " all 3 of us and got a better service and their glasses were priced less for the same exact brand and style. Never going back there again. I came to this location b/c I knew Lenscrafters accepted my insurance, was close to my work, and most importantly, sold Chanel eyewear. A few months ago, I walked in just to take a look at the Chanel eyeglasses they had to offer. A gentleman was working there who said he was filling in for a few days and usually works at a diff office. I found a cute pair I liked which was black and pink and had a flower, chanel logo and a bow on the side of the frame. He CONVINCED me this was the perfect pair for me in terms of size, design and fit. I was extremely happy that I found a pair I liked and he tried extremely hard for me to purchase them then but I told him I wanted my boyfriend's opinion and was going to come back. I ordered the exact pair online (authentic of course) and brought it in a few weeks later with my boyfriend and guess what? The lady that was helping me told me, oh no...these glasses do not fit your face well at all. These are too tight! These chanel frames were only size 50 and she said I would need 51-52 for the fit to be perfect especially because it was extremely snug on the sides. WUT?! Why did this guy convince me it was perfect then? Obviously he was only trying to make a quick-sale and I tried on the same pair at the store (to make sure it wasn't just the one I ordered online that wasn't a perfect fit) and they were pressing against my skin. I walked out of there that day extremely unhappy and decided to put off buying frames until I found the perfect pair. I just went back last week and found a pair that fit better and the girl that helped me find them was really sweet. They were a black on black pair of Chanels with the cameilia flower on the side. She was sweet, but not necessarily the type of girl that went out of her way for service ever. I asked her if there was a pair with a pink flower on the side (didn't know if Chanel even sold a pair like that) and she just shook her head no. Fine, I ordered and paid and was going to pick them up in a few hours after work. During work, I checked online for the style and found that they DID have the pair with a pink flower on the side...why didn't they at least check then? After work I went into the store and Theresa, the manager (supposedly) was there with my glasses. I asked her about the ones with the pink flowers, she looked and yes they have it in the system, but they do not have any in the store...she calls the warehouse and they do not have any and supposedly, they are NOT allowed to order from Chanel more (apparently, Chanel just doesn't like Lenscrafters but loves MyEyedr) while she's supposedly "adjusting" my glasses, she goes on and on about the cameilia flower and the whole lifestory of Coco Chanel...sorry I already know about her and the flower...but I put up with her chatter anyways. She gives me the glasses in the case and goes on and on about the nice quilted case...I already have one from my previous chanel pair you guys told me to buy but was yet too small for my face....I asked her...do you guys at least give a lens cleaning set? "oh no...we do not give those out with our chanels.." WTF? Chanel is the BESt and most expensive brand in the store...if you don't give them out with Chanel, what do you give them out with? I didn't feel like arguing with her because she was so bitchy and didn't give a crap about service (I really don't know how she got to be manager). I walk out of there and in the car, I realized..OH MY GOD! I didn't even get the Chanel box with it (only the case) and not even a chanel logo bag! I was furious! I'm paying around $400 still OUT OF POCKET, including insurnace and I don't even get THESe things that are supposed to COME with the pair of glasses? I go back in to ask her and she checks the back and she says, "sorry no box". The next few days passed and the more furious I got. I wore the glasses for a few hours while watching a movie and they kept slipping down. I was shocked because Theresa claimed she adjusted them to fit my face perfectly already. The more I thought about it, the more angry I got...I can buy my chanels from anywhere else and I would be receiving better service than Theresa and that Lenscrafters. I started to call a few places I knew carried Chanels and ended up going to MyEyedr in Clarendon. Everyone there was SUPREMELY friendly and I walked out with the order of TWO pairs of gorgeous chanels, with chanel logo bags, WITH chanel boxes, AND with the correct chanel cases AND lens cleaning sets. I tried on the original lenscrafters pair for the guys at MyEyedr and they said she basically did NOT even adjust them at all which was why it kept on falling off my face. I returned the glasses back to this place and I will never be returning to this horrific place with HORRENDOUS service from Theresa their so-called manager. I've been to other LensCrafters in Florida. I've always been pretty pleased with the service. I had also had a experience at this location in Tyson's Corner Center. I was greeted right away from an associate. The girl who helped me was very friendly and helpful. She showed me many different types of frames. She was very patient. I wish i could remember her name, We found a frame style that would look good on my face. I was very happy with the service. I was getting glasses again after not wearing them for six years. I first went to another High-End fancy fancy glasses place in the mall. And I turned around and walked out and asked "Isn't there a LensCrafters in this mall?" The prices were pretty much what I had expected. And they always have Specials and Deals here. My new glasses were ready in about an hour as promised. Which was very nice too. When I came back to pick them up the associate helped me right away. She was able to adjust them to fit my face right away. And she was also very friendly and helpful. And that's important to me. I really don't agree with the low stars from the previous review from 2 or 3 years ago. This LensCrafters was just an overall great shopping experience. All the associates really know stuff! My review is based not on knowledge of the technician, which was great, or the help offered and guidance given. It is based on the fact that we were told that this particular lens could take up to 10 days but that they would call when it was ready. Two days later we called to see if there was any progress and were told blithely that it had been ready in an hour. Why weren't we called? Because they don't call if it is just an hour. How were we to expect that when told it could be 10 days. Overall, I'd say they're pretty expensive, but the employees were helpful without being pushy or "helicoptering," and they took good care of me. I'm generally picky about glasses; I went to 5 or 6 different stores before I found frames that I liked. I found a pair at the Tyson's Lenscrafters, ordered them and they were ready in just over an hour. I couldn't tell if the RX was proper because I was wearing my contacts when I picked them up, but I noticed they were a little off over the next few days. I went back to my eye doctor, confirmed the RX was wrong and got a new one--Lenscrafters made new lenses free of charge (as their guarantee says) without asking questions; they were nice about it and after another hour I was on my way home with my new, much better glasses. read more

I've purchased glasses from this and other LensCrafters in the past with satisfactory results, although they are somewhat expensive. This time, I purchased a pair of glasses for my son, which were produced in an hour and were fine. However, within three months, the glasses developed a scratch, so I took them back to to store, expecting to pay for replacement lense. I was told that it was cheaper to purchase a new pair, and that the cost of a new lense would be more than I paid originally. We did speak with a manager, who reiterated that this was their policy. When I bought my son's sports goggles a month ago, the staff was very friendly. My son got a pair he liked and even though they were having a big "sale", we still spent $400- after they pushed hard for us to buy the warranty. We lost the strap that goes behind his head and I went in to ask if I could purchase another one. They told me I would have to BUY the $400 pair of GOGGLES AGAIN in order for me to get the stupid 2 inch strap. WOW. Not so friendly anymore! I looked on-line to see if I could buy them somewhere. Edmonds in McLean had them so I went in and the TRULY friendly staff gave me the strap off one of their goggles and said it would be no problem for them to order a strap from the company. I will NEVER go back to Lenscrafters. I regret purchasing anything from them. Really snobby people if you don't have a buck to spend! read more

This is absolutely the worst place to go to. I chose this place because they accepted my insurance and it was also close to work. When I first walked in, everyone was friendly. My purpose was to get an eye exam as well as trying contact lenses for the first time. The wait wasn't long at all. The doctor was pleasant. From there on, everything went downhill.The Doctor told me they would have to order my trial version of contacts because they didn't have it in stock. He specifically told me they would arrive next Wednesday (my appt was on a Friday). I said ok, and paid. First problem. They charged me an extra $35 dollars without explaining to me why and when I asked, the lady was very vague as to why she charged me that extra $35. She simply explained that I had an eye exam and a contact eye exam. In my mind, eye exam = both eye and contact eye exam. So I called THREE MORE TIMES and then she finally explained in FULL detail why I was being charged the extra $35. Then Wednesday came along and I received no response from them.. So I thought I'd give them a call to ask for a status. After all, the eye doctor did say my contacts would arrive Wednesday. A lady picked up and did a status order check. She explained to me that my contacts would arrive later that Wednesday and that she provided me the option of booking me the following day. Of course, I said ok. Worst idea ever. I should up that Thursday and the lady told me, "Oh, you're contacts haven't arrived. We usually call to let you know". Mind blowing, then I tried to explain to her what was said over the phone, and SHE COULDN'T EVEN LOOK ME IN THE EYE! She gave me the "I don't care" attitude and sent me away. She also mentioned that my contacts would arrive next Wednesday. I mean, I don't think it takes a week and a half to order contacts. Oh, it gets better. They called me on Friday (after being turned away on a Thursday.. this is all in the same week) to tell me that my contacts has arrived. This place is filled with people who are disorganized and have extremely poor customer service. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
