Where did Dr. Davidson go? He was here one day and gone the next. He is the only eye doctor our family has used in years.

I have been going to him for over 10 years. I have never had any complaints. Dr. Davidson is a very good optometrist and a very nice person.

Instead of…read moreupdating my prescription, she referred me to Eye Doctors of Washington because of supposed scarring on my eyes. The earliest appointment I could get was on June 23, almost a month and a half away. To make it worse, although I live in Tysons Corner, I could only get an appointment in their inconvenient (to me) Chevy Chase office instead of their Tysons office. At the appointment, instead of updating my prescription, the doctor prescribed medications for supposed problems that have never been diagnosed before. I now have to go back to that inconvenient office on August 31, which means I'm stuck with my outdated prescription until at least sometime in September -- unless they come up with another excuse to delay things even further. From first doctor appointment, it is going to take at least four months to get glasses with a current prescription. That kind of delay is entirely una.

Ekaterina, their front desk person, said she would not schedule my follow up appointment due to a balance on my account after I had previously asked for an itemized receipt and EOB. I had mentioned I was on my spouse's insurance and needed to follow up since I had been incorrectly billed and was trying to get that sorted out before I made payment since I had every intention in paying my balance. The other front desk person, Mia, overheard and provided me with the information I requested and apologized. I am honestly uncomfortable returning to the office because of this interaction. Ekaterina is unprofessional, displays attitude in conversation and tone and is a poor representation of the practice. Working in healthcare, I am well aware of frustrations with insurance companies and knowledge of social determinants of health, so it is disheartening to encounter other personnel in the field who are poorly versed in competence training and present judgmental, rude, and unprofessional demeanor in the healthcare office setting.

I recently (December 30, 2025) ordered a new pair of glasses through their insurance program as my current set was damaged. They said 2 to 3 weeks. Historically, they would deliver glasses in around a week to 10 days. Have been checking in since January 15 and have been told probably 10 times my glasses would be ready in 3 to 5 days. It is now February 5, 2026, and I was told today that my glasses weren't ordered until January 24 and they likely won't be ready until the week of February 16. The employees are nice but clueless. How can you say an order will be ready in 3 to 5 days for weeks and then tell me on February 5 that the glasses weren't actually ordered until January 24. All while I had spoken with them multiple times and was continually told the 3 to 5 days line? Meanwhile I am running around like a Cyclops with basically one good lens in my glasses. At least I am providing entertainment for my wife. I will be taking my future business elsewhere.

After waiting that period of time and not hearing anything, I called the store and spoke to someone who told me that they were still being processed and wouldn't be ready for a couple of weeks. They couldn't explain the discrepancy between their system and the automated one. Regardless, had I known about the extended delay (because I actually need them now), I'd have gone elsewhere. Frustrating.

Also, I could not help but notice the number of 1 star reviews on this page for this office. Very disparaging, so I am not going to go back. The nurse who checked us in put us in a room and made my mom struggle to transfer from her wheelchair to the exam table, just to tell her she'd then have to transfer back again and repeat the difficult process in the doctor's designated room. When we expressed the challenges with this, we were told that the doctor "can only see her patients in her room." For a medical office, everyone was completely ableist and disinterested in the needs and challenges to using a wheelchair. This practice should review its practices asap. DO NOT GO HERE.

Today, 4/23/26, I went in to waste time before my eye exam and peruse through the selection of new frames. I generally spend $2-3k a year on frames. When I walked in, no one greeted me or even acknowledged I was in the store. That was a first. Generally at this location everyone is friendly and helpful. Both workers were engaged in non-work conversation. My daughter and I overheard them speaking. There was no way they could have missed us. We were the only ones in the store. As we worked our way down trying on various frames, another Caucasian lady barely crossed the threshold into the store when one of the workers broke their conversation, and while walking briskly past us, screamed across the store, ' Ma'am, may I help you??'' I looked at my daughter and remarked to her that we'd been in the store for 5 minutes and no one even acknowledged we were there. I wondered if this was a racial issue. As the worker and the woman made their way closer to where my daughter and I continued to try on frames, the worked said, 'Could you move? I'm trying to show her something.' I said, 'Excuse me??' He responded, ' Move so I can show her something.' I said, ' Are you asking me to step aside??' He just waved his hand at me to move. At that moment, my daughter and I were convinced we were being treated poorly bc we're black. My daughter and I walked to the counter to find a manager bc that type of behavior will not be tolerated. A man walked from behind the glass and said, ' What do you need?' I asked him if he was the manager. He kind of agreed that he was kind of the manager. I explained to him what just happened and told him, and the other worker who had by then walked over, that his behavior was rude, dismissive and disrespectful. The worker half heartedly apologized and the so called manager said he would talk to him. I have no doubt the whole ordeal was forgotten the minute we walked out. I'd like to think LensCrafters is better than this. What I can say is that training is in order. I was absolutely livid and in all likelihood will never step foot in this location again. They absolutely do not deserve my business.

Been coming to this vision clinic since 2019, totally forgot to schedule appointments in 2023 so…read morethe last time I was here was shortly after they got purchased by a PE firm. My experience this time was poor for the lens fitting exam and better the next day for the annual eye exam. For the lens fitting exam, it's been a while but I remember the time back in 2019 when I first came to See Clearly, it was a doctor who did most of the vision test (reading the letters, using the instruments to check 1 or 2 is better, and doing the pressure test), now that's all done by an assistant. Which is fine I guess, to free up Dr time to save money and see more patients. After the assistant got a prescription and came back with a pair of lenses for me to try, the right eye was seeing a lot crisper, the left side was better but not as crisp as the right. Assistant said he'll get Dr Williams to check. Dr. Williams came in and did the 1 or 2, 3 or 4 process again and I guess my eyes were performing differently, after we did all that came back to the same prescription that the assistant got. During this process Dr. Williams was very impatient, got really annoyed at me for asking to see the different settings again and you can just tell she was not happy by the tone of her voice that I wasted her time. I'm just seeing a much crisper image with the right eye than the left, it seemed like it can't be improved anymore. Wish she were more patient and more understanding, I hope it's just an off day. I saw Dr. Williams in 2022 and I had a great experience, I recommended my coworkers and partner to see her and See Clearly in general. I've only had good experiences with the other Drs here over the years. Can only imagine that now being owned by a PE firm the practice has to hit higher profitability goals and have to see more patients with same number of hours from the Drs. I'm sorry that there is more pressure, hopefully things will change for the better. I came the next day for an annual eye exam and Dr. Baveja was very attentive and understanding.

The person at the eyeglasses counter examined the glasses and said that she would speak to the practice manager about replacing them, possibly getting the manufacturer to replace the frames for free. I've called four times to see where we are with this. The eyeglasses person now no longer works there, and every person who talks to me says they will check with the practice manager and get back to me. Never happens. I had thought I could shame them into doing the right thing but now I see that this behavior, treating their customers like dirt, is how they do business. I will call this one a loss and move on.
