I HIGHLY recommend this practice! I see Dr. Nicholas Marotta annually, but have also seen his wife. Truly knowledgeable optometrists with a kind, caring touch!! I also go to two wonderful ophthalmologists for some more extensive issues, and I can tell you this practice is every bit as good in terms of diagnosis and care!! I have been going to Greenbriar Vision Center for 20 years and always get the best possible treatment and service. The front desk staff, lead by Holly, are awesome, extremely nice and very efficient. Dr. Nick Marotta has been my eye doctor from day one and the continuity makes a huge difference when you go for your yearly appointments. Over the years I have gone there for contacts, glasses and then follow up treatments after having laser eye surgery, not to mention check ups. The technology is always kept up to date so GVC always has the next level equipment to check your eyes. Over the years Dr. Marotta has become more like a friend than my eye doctor as we enjoy catching up with each other and discussing our families and lives. I went today with my girl for 11:35 appointment today. But when we got there found out office is close, I totally understand if office close due to weather ( snowing today) isn't predictable, but a least need to let the customers who have appointment know, then we don't need to drive out in this bad weather. read more

I did not have any experience with the doctors there but took a prescription to have glasses made. It took over 2 weeks to receive them. They are very expensive. My biggest issue with this office was that the optician was trying to sell me life insurance. Which in my mind is a big red flag. read more

I only go to Greenbriar to have my glasses made. I found Greenbriar in 2010 through my vision plan at work because of a problem I had when a pair of glasses I had made elsewhere were defective and my insurance company suggested I take them to an in network provider to make the correction. I can not say enough good things about the staff at Greenbriar. They are extremely knowledgeable about insurance plans, they have all the information they need to submit the bill for payment. They are very good at explaining and recommending features and the type of frames you need for your specific situation. I have been having my glasses made here every year ever since and I am always pleased with the level of service and the incredible care they take in helping me pick the right things for my needs. read more

I went to Greenbriar Vision Center on 10/11/16. I am so happy I found this practice (so I wanted to make sure I mentioned it on Yelp). I was going to My Eye Doctor but found that the Doctor I was seeing kept changing. Due to the fact it is safe to assume, I am going to need to see an eye doctor on a yearly basis it was important to me to be with the same doctor. I felt that the eye doctor at Greenbriar Vision Center spent a lot of time with me. He didn't seem annoyed or ready to leave when I kept asking questions. I also felt the same about the front desk staff who were friendly and very knowledgeable. I also loved the fact that Greenbriar offers evening hours for patients. It makes it a lot easier to schedule a yearly exam when you don't have to take time off work. (If you need an evening appointment call ahead it appears from how far out that I schedule they book up fairly fast.) Yelpers have mentioned that they is an "upcharge" at this practice. I have been wearing both glasses and contacts since I was 10. Greenbriar Vision Center prices seem comparable to what I was paying with vision insurance at My Eye Doctor. In fact both the Doctor and the front desk staff went out of their way to find me a rebate coupon for my contacts when I was checking out of the appointment. (I couldn't redeem it in the end because it conflicted with my insurance but I really appreciated the gesture to save me a few dollars.) In nutshell, I am fairly confident I will be a patient at Greenbriar Vision Center for many years to come. read more

Don't go to this Vision Center. I purchased a pair of glasses. Before I left the Center, I noticed that one of the lenses was scratched. They ordered a new lens to replace the scratched lens. I then noticed that the replacement lens was also scratched. Did the laboratory scratch the lens or did the Optician scratch the lens? I think the Optician scratched the lens as she was not cleaning the lens wet. That is not the way lenses are cleaned, but she argued that it was acceptable. My family's experience has been very good. We have been coming here for checkups for a few years now. Dr. Sandra Marotta is thorough, we have never felt rushed during an appointment. She is also great with my kids. The staff is efficient, helpful, knowledgeable and PATIENT with kids who don't really know what glasses they want and kids/teens who need to learn how to put contacts on. They do offer all the options for glasses, but don't "push" the extras, they just explain what everything is and what they would recommend are important to get. read more

We have been going to Greenbriar Vision Center for a few years and have always gotten the best service and attention. Last night they knocked my socks off. My daughter broke her fist and only pair of glasses and I brought them in to see if they could be fixed. Within hours they helped me find a new back-up and get the first pair replaced through a warranty. Amazingly helpful and fast service! As always! read more

Greenbrier Vision is wonderful place and has a great atmosphere. From the moment you walk into the office the front desk staff warmly greets you, they are prompt, organized and friendly. I saw Dr. Church and can't say enough great things about her. She creates a warm and inviting environment, making sure you feel comfortable and relaxed, she spent plenty of time with me explaining everything in great detail, I had lots of questions, but she was very patient. The final person to put the icing on the cake was Anita, she was juggling 5 other patients and not once did I feel like I was being ignored, she is beyond pro! She is extremely personable, and wants to ensure you like your glasses and they fit perfect. She stayed late for me and a few others, making sure everyone was taken care of. This place is the real deal, the whole package, the friendly feeling of a family owned business without losing the professionalism and maintains a high level of quality and skill. You should certainly try them out! read more

I will not be back. Dr Marota seems very nice but the upselling is terrible, particularly because I have never had prescription glasses before. It took another vision shop to explain that I did not have to pay the $400 above what my insurance would cover, that there were other lenses available that I could afford. The staff is brusk at best, I always felt I should thank them for talking to me. They did not update information and thus sent emails to an address no longer vaild. read more

Unprofessional! Wasted my time! I gave them my insurance over the phone to verify they accepted it. They called me the next day and kept me on the phone for almost 10 minutes- asking various questions. They said they were going to call insurance company to verify coverage and would call back if there was a problem. They never called back. When I show up for my appointment 2 days later, they tell me they don't accept my insurance. I don't appreciate having my time wasted. Beware! read more

They did not honor their written warranties with me in regards to a lifetime warranties on a pair of frames I bought from them. I would NOT ever do business with them again. read more

The front desk staff is extremely rude and unfriendly especially the Office Manager. They never listen to the patient and talk very harsh. On number of occasions, I found them very unfriendly and do not service the patient. They over charged me for the services provided. Initially the practice misdiagnosed my eye problem, and charge me office visit and prescribed me very expensive medication ($ over 100). Then the problem never went away, and then again I had to go for check-up. They charged me office visit again even for their own mis-diagnosis. I end up in spending over $300 due to their fault and they are not ready to listen (that is the worst part!). My experience was very bad. read more

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND: My company's VSP insurance covered this company, optometrist within my network. I thought it was the most comprehensive exam I've ever had but ironically when I went to fill my prescription for lenses, the sales girls (in the office and retail center) were less than helpful, the Frames were priced out over cost leaving me with over $150 expense (NOT including lenses)! When I inquired about full costs for Frames AND Lenses (prescription) the Sales Girl would not provide an estimate. I choose to fill out my prescription online with a partner company my insurance provides, when those were incorrect I called Greenbriar for a fitting. Today I was told that this would be an additional $50-60 fitting fee and warned that it was because I purchased my lenses outside of their office and retail store!!! Ironically, my other lenses are nearly as blurry for Nearsightedness, I needed no prescription for my reading but received a +1.75 on my prescription anyway! During the exam, the doctor fixed my vision so well I could read the smallest lines in both eyes but with my prescription lenses I could hardly read the traffic signs I was reading prior to the office visit!!! (!!??) I would NOT recommend this Optometrist! read more

The waiting area - where you probably won't need to stick around long, since they seem to keep appointments very well - has comfortable chairs, and is well stocked with magazines. The staff is very polite and helpful, as was my optometrist, Dr. Sandy Marotta. I had a general eye exam and was fitted for contacts - and was in and out in less than 45 minutes. We were referred to Greenbriar Vision by a friend. We were very pleased with the whole experience. The staff is friendly and knowledgable. I am a bit of a baby about anything being near my eyes. The doctor was extremely kind and patient with me. I was also impressed with the technology available in the clinic. I had thought that my eyes had gotten worse since my last exam and was expecting to have to order new glasses. The doctor explained that new glasses weren't necessary yet. It was refreshing to visit a practitioner who was so thorough and honest! My husband was also impressed with his experience and very happy with the care taken with him when fitting his new contact lenses. I definitely recommend Dr. Marotta and his staff!! read more

Great doctor and service but unfortunately I can't rate five stars. After I purchased frames and lenses from Greenbriar Vision Center a few months ago, I wanted to buy some inexpensive frames online to have them just in case, so I had to ask for a copy of my prescription. They gave that to me, however the pupillary distance (PD) was not provided. I called and asked them for PD, as the information has been collected already and exists on file. I was told that I have to pay $35 so doctor has to disclose that number to me. That attitude sounds pretty greedy to me and I will look for services elsewhere in the future. To make it clear, me and my family are customers of Greenbriar Vision Center for a couple of years and doctor earned thousands of dollars from claims and my pocket. Holding an information about a measurement I already paid for leaved me speechless. read more

Honestly it's between 3 and 4 stars. Everything went well until they were doing the glaucoma test which the girl who was doing it didn't seem to know if it was really required or not. Afterwards I met up with the Sandra Marotta. She knew exactly what she was doing and did a wonderful job. Got ordered glasses everything was fine. After looking over my paid statement I had to return and get it fixed. The receptionist was looking at me like I grew another head when I told her my name was spelled wrong. It wasn't until another coworker told her it was wrong she actually believed me. =/ When I asked her why the PD weren't on the sheet she told me something completely different from what I wanted... Which is part of the reason why the rating is lower. read more

I called Greenbriar Vision Center at the last minute due to 4 year old's finger (my son) finding its way into my eye. They were EXTREMELY helpful, fit me in between appointments within 30 minutes, and the staff and doctors were very helpful, knowledgeable and professional. I would highly recommend them for vision care and will not go back for regular eye exams rather than my previous optometrist. read more

Found this vision center thru my vision insurance website, so decided to give it a try. I had not received an eye exam in over a year so I wanted to get back into a routine. Making appointment was easy and hassle free, even after I had to make a change to the date. Upon arriving at the center, I was greeted by a friendly staff. I was early for the appointment, but was taken in the back for the standard exams and then the advanced imaging of the eyes. After a very short wait I was greeted by Dr. Nicholas Marotta and brought back for the consultation and more exams. The Dr was very friendly and explained everything to me beyond any other eye exam. Dr was knowledgeable and seemed to listen to my concerns. After all was done my vision had not declined and my previous prescription was right on. Paid my insurance deductible and that's it. There was no pressure from the Dr or his staff for me to get another pair of glasses. The staff actually priced a pair of glasses for me and I walked out under no obligation.
