I got magnetic clip on sunglass lenses for them and a second set of clip on made especially for migraines. After picking up my glasses I walked around for weeks saying randomly to people that I loved my new glasses lol. I still feel this way. Recently I had to change my prescription. They were happy to help me do this, and even fixed a tiny bit of damage I had caused after dropping them. They were ready faster than predicted and they're perfect. I love this store.

Keeping only 1 doctor to show up once a month and acting like it is the same clinic is not right, actively confusing patients. 2. New management is all about money! Pay pay pay. Even with insurance. Make sure you double check AGAIN, or else, they may have worked with your insurance in the past, that does NOT mean, this new management is in the list. 3. Plan to spend 30 more mins. The original doctors did NOT sell your data to them, which is awesome. If you are like me, showed up without knowing everything and everyone changed, you will spend half an hour filling up endless paperwork and they don't bother tell you this beforehand intentionally, cause they don't want you to know it is different people took over the old-name. They just wanna continue getting the clients without disclosing the change. 4. Terrible service! Will treat you like an idiot and all the high-tech checkup is not anymore. The reception was a little impatient when I called in to book an appointment to look at available dates for Dr. Goldberg. In-person, all the receptionists seemed annoyed when we tried talking to them so my husband and I didn't feel very comfortable in the waiting area. At the conclusion of the exam, they advised us that they didn't take our vision insurance. This was a little upsetting, considering I had to fill out a form and provide them my insurance *before* they conducted the examination. It would have been nice to be informed that they didn't accept my insurance beforehand but since we were already there, I suppose they didn't want to lose out on earnings. We were billed a total of $638 for an annual exam ($319 each), which we paid out of pocket. No, I assure you that this did not include digital retinal screening or other advanced forms of technology. It was your typical vision exam. Considering the customer service and how average the examination was, I do not feel this merited the exorbitant price point. Although Dr. Goldberg was not involved in the incidents I mentioned above, I do still hold him accountable since this is his practice. The onus is on Dr. Goldberg to ensure that his staff are not lacking in integrity or alienating customers but it could also suggest that this type of behavior trickles from the top down. My initial experience with EyeCare About Eyes started off great. I was able to easily schedule my appointment online. When I went to download the New Patient forms a few days later, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that I could do all of the paperwork online, using a secure connection of course. I had a comprehensive eye exam today performed by Dr. Alicia Kim of EyeCare About Eyes. Dr. Kim was very thorough and quick in her exam and she has excellent patient communication skills. @ Drs. Chen & Chen...you need to keep this one if possible. I didn't wait long at all before my exam commenced. Unfortunately, I didn't get the young lady's name who performed some initial screening. She was very personable. The facility was clean and modern. I especially liked the exam chair because it was very comfortable to sit in. Three things I would recommend as areas for improvement. First, replace the plastic chairs with nicer chairs. The plastic chairs aren't very supportive or comfortable and that's coming from someone with spine issues. Second, consider greatly improving your selection of eyeglasses. I would have liked to give you the business for my eyeglasses purchase, but there wasn't enough of a selection for me to make a choice. If you want to see an example of a great selection of eyeglasses, visit Crestwood Optical in Manassas, VA. Last, get rid of the mask policy. I despise having to wear a mask unless I choose to wear one. Bottom line, count me as a continuing customer, at least for eye care needs.

He's the 100% opposite of the "express" vision care shops that have become predominant. He is committed to making sure you get the right solution. And his prices are very reasonable, too. Brought my own frames to get lenses replaced. Had no problem with the prices and ordered the lenses. After spending ~$1200 they (manager?) seemed insulted that I asked for a receipt. He said "we've been here for 40 years!" Seriously? So what? After I insisted he begrudgingly printed one for me. When I picked them up they had not applied the edge-polish I had ordered and paid for. The salesperson took them in back and applied a slight buff, not a polish. I asked her to apply a polish and she went back and did it correctly. The thing is my lenses had an AR coating. Applying a polish to an AR lens can damage the coating - it's supposed to be done before the AR is applied - maybe that was the lab's fault. Nevertheless, I spoke with the salesperson about a different pair of lenses I was interested in, one for strictly reading/computer distance. I told her my working distances and knew just what it was I interested in. She proceeded to insist that that was not what I wanted, finally raising her voice and saying "fine, whatever you want!" Lots of glowing reviews on this site and that's fine for them - not for me. And, as background, I was a licensed Optician for 25 years before I stopped practicing to go to law school. I knew what I was talking about. The Rx/lenses were fine, but the attitude was a total turn-off. I'll never go back even though they're right around the corner from me and I'll never recommend them.

While I was almost at Tysons Mall, I received a phone call from the front desk asking if I was going to be there. That's how I realized i put down the wrong appointment time. So I asked the front desk should I reschedule the appointment. Knowing I was already almost in the garage, the receptionist told me I can still come in. So I arrived 10 minutes late for my actual appointment. When I arrived, the technician promptly took me to do a quick examination and sent me to the room for Dr Son to arrive. Dr Son came in without any greetings, no facial expressions. I immediately apologized for being late. He had no response to my words. Immediately he started the vision test, but very obviously not as thorough as before. He finished the examination quicker than usual and told me my vision hasn't changed a bit. I told him I feel my current contacts can't see far enough, I wanted to adjust it more for driving. He told me I can see far enough according to the test he just did. Then walk out without a word. I looked at my watch, from the time I walked in until Dr. Son left the room, it's less than 10 minutes. For all the years I've seen Dr Son, this is the only time I had the schedule wrong and arrived late. I don't think I deserved the passive aggressive attitude from him. If I was really that late or caused any inconvenience for his time, they could simply reschedule me. Not going there again.

The doctor…read moresupposedly found some scarring on my cornea -- nobody had ever said anything avout scarring before, and nothing has happened in many years to cause scarring. However, the doctor refused to provide an updated prescription. instead, she referred me to another eye doctor that has been playing its own games with me. Best case scenario, it's very unlikely that I'll have glasses with a current prescription until at least September. Four months to get new glasses is entirely unacceptable.
