3.20.22 This location is much larger than the one by my house. It has two levels whereas my local store has one. This location also has a large selection of designer merchandise for apparel, shoes, and skincare. It also has a large selection of sunglasses, which I am on a mission to purchase a new pair of cat-eye style. I didn't find one that I liked so the quest continues. My friend and I tried Herve Leger dresses, which we only found in the XS size. They also had a few pairs of Gucci, Valentino, and Jimmy Choe shoes. I had sticker shock looking at the price tag even though it was discounted. I could never bring myself to buy a designer brand unless I got it from a second hand store or consignment shop. It's a two floor location within a building and they have their own parking garage. It's free to park inside. Elevator is a bit slow, but they have two. It's right next to Tiffany's so if you're in the area, you can swing by. They have a lot of space here, but the selection isn't that diverse in my opinion - especially for deals. I have been here several times now and nothing really jumps out at me like it was a deal that is too good to be true. I always ended up going home empty handed. Just liked wandering around a bit. Also, for the cosmetics, it's always a good idea to check the expiration batch code. You got to find the number and check the batch code and when the item will expire. Some cosmetics lasts 1 year and some last 3 years. Just make sure you don't buy something that is just about to expire. read more

This used to be the place to shop for items that didn't sell out at Nordstroms. As a Nordy member, I still came here to find great deals with excellent service. Unfortunately service in the mens area went in the toilet the last couple of years with one exceptionally rude older man. But even if service was elevated to the Nordstrom standard, Rack has become less of a place to find quality items than it is a Ross or Marshalls. Now they have their own brands that don't hold up such as Penguin, WestZeroOne, etc. They shrink and fall apart within a couple of weeks, and lack any style. The designer racks only have a few items. For a while Peter Millar and nicer brands would funnel to the Rack. Now it's row and row of Penguin junk. Too bad. Nordstrom should probably give up on the Rack concept if the goal is to deliver Marshall's quality clothing. read more

I was leaving Tyson's Corner to head to the Friendship Heights location & caught this store in the nick of time before getting on the freeway. Two level store that is in immaculate & organized order. I enjoyed myself amongst the spacious displays & a clutter free retail environment. For an early Saturday morning there was a full staff & Briana was helpful throughout my perusing & such. & if you can't find what you need or want to spend more money, you can head across the street to Nordstrom's. Not my favorite location, and not the worst location. The location is self, is actually great! They have a garage that you park in and you can catch the elevator to the 1st floor where the store is located and go right in. This location has 2 levels and everything is neat and tidy. What I did not like was the variety wasn't as good regarding the brands I'm used to purchasing as well as the many options that are normally available. I love Max Studio, all I saw was short sleeve Max Studio dresses. It's 28ﾟoutside and very cold, I have no interest in short sleeve dresses. Outside of that 1 little hick up, everything was OK. Neat & well lit dressing room, great customer service and a clean ladies room. Just wasn't used to the floor plan and having to search for my things the way I had to. They were very very limited w their cosmetic section and that was a bummer. They were also were limited w their hand bag selection. Typically I don't purchase handbags from here but today I did wanna look because I do need a black handle bag. It's decent, but I used to like it more. I'm not sure what's going on with Nordstrom Rack stores. It's not just this one, but the ones I've been to. They used to have more mens clothing and the like. Got some nice dress shirts, and no longer can find them. This could get me back to Jos A, as their clearance section can be legendary. They still have some deals on ties here, and some mens accessories. Their cologne section is decent, but lately even this is not so popular designer house rejects. Burberry and Tommy Hilfiger were good ten years ago. The staff that they have on duty are helpful, and as a caveman type of dude, they've been kind enough to assist me. This location is busy and parking is what it is. A conditional recommendation, but lately losing its vigor, and time will tell. read more

This Nordstrom Rack might slightly have a larger selection and a larger quantity in designer wear than the one out in Fairfax. They have an underground parking garage, which is quite convenient; you just go up to the 1st floor, and the store is right there. The women's clothing is upstairs, along with the shoes and the lingerie. Again, with any Rack/discount stores, you need time to peruse; if you're lucky, you might find some great deals, but it takes a lot of patience to sift through the racks! For the most part, the sizes are in their correct places, but some may be misplaced, so you just need a quick eye! I opened an acct. at Nordstrom Rack in downtown DC that took 45 mins. to arrange because the sales clerk didn't know how to do this and the desk and phone system was not set up for anyone's convenience. Meanwhile, because I went paperless, I somehow never received any on line notice of my acct. Months later, I then somehow received notice that my acct. was overdue by 6 months amounting to large overdue fees. Did I write that I never (in Spam or anywhere else) got ANY notices from card services. Which ever company is responsible for card services for Nordstrom's is diabolical. Once out from under their clutches I had to go through hoops to cancel the card! A lengthy phone conversation and no email confirmation but a letter to come 7-10 business days. Do yourself a favor, do not apply for a Nordstrom's credit card. read more

At stores like this, it is very easy to get lost in all the craziness and clutter but fortunately, this location has always been clean, organized, and the workers are extremely helpful and attentive! Their purse collection is pretty relevant to the season (for the most part) and their shoe collection is the area where you can find the biggest bargains. They also offer a limited selection of home goods and discounted perfumes/colognes. Children, mens, women's accessories and home goods sections are located downstairs and women's clothing and shoes upstairs. Also, the registers are downstairs, but conveniently an employee can check you out from the portable devices from anywhere in the store! I popped in recently to return/exchange some clothes I had purchased online and to also pick up an order I placed. I had never been into this Nordstrom Rack before but was impressed by how big, spacious, bright, and clean it was. The bottom level is mostly men's clothes so assume that upstairs is all women's. My package was readily and easily found and picked up. They also held onto the jeans I brought in to exchange while I shopped and tried things on. The dressing rooms were perfectly clean. They had a little bit of everything--boxers to socks to t-shirts and jeans to more business appropriate clothes. There was also a lot of outerwear and masks. It's essentially a mini Nordstrom with more discounted prices--there are deals to be found and in general the prices are lower than Nordstrom. That being said, they don't have every size of everything. I don't do a lot of clothes shopping anyway but I love having the option of Nordstrom Rack as an alternative to more reasonably priced, higher quality items. Still, I was able to find what I was looking for and made an even exchange. The staff with whom I interacted were all masked and polite. This is probably the most organized Nordstrom Rack that I have ever stepped foot into! Opening their doors earlier this month, Nordstrom Rack is across from Tysons Corner Center and also offers free parking in their garage. It's two floors -- children's, men's, accessories, and other random things like makeup and bath products on the first floor, and women's on the second. Most of the racks are color coordinated, and they have separate sections for high-end designer shoes. Although there wasn't much selection in clothing, their shoe selection is on point -- plenty of sizes and everything is in their correct brand boxes! (I bought Nine West wedges from another location that were in a Tory Burch box...) There are registers on the first floor, but employees wearing green are able to check you out from anywhere in the store, which was pretty convenient! read more

They have a good selection, and I always end up finding way too many things I like here. I'm dinging them by one star because they don't have a petites section, and their athletic wear section is really small. My second favorite Nordstrom Rack (first one is Sterling), the Tyson's Corner Nordstrom Rack boasts a decent selection of Nordstrom brand, mid-tier, and designer merchandise. Things are a bit disorganized and you often have to rummage around in the racks, but there are good deals to be found for the intrepid and patient shopper. I bought a Kate Spade dress for less than $30 in a "clear the rack" event (usually right around any holiday). Highlights: Watches-- I have purchased several watches from this location and find that they have a solid stock of Burberry, Kate Spade, Movado, and Shinola timepieces on hand at any given time. Part of the fun is to see what bargains have made their way into the inventory and are featured at "clearance" and "clear the rack" prices. Shoes-- The new arrivals feature decent and varied selection with affordable prices. Stuart Weitzman over the knee suede boots for 40% off the retail? Check! Tory Burch flats? Check! Badgley Mishka Pumps with rhinestone embellishments for a holiday party? Check! From those comfy Cole Haan commuter flats we wear to traverse the Pentagon to the sexiest little strappy sandal to formidable Ugg boots for schlepping through the snow, I always find something I want to take home. Customer Service: Almost always I get great service here. You can get a Nordstrom Debit that debits your purchase amount right out of your bank account with no pesky bill to pay at month's end and still earn Nordstrom note dollars for future purchases. BONUS! Also, if you lose your receipt and want to return, Nordstrom looks up your purchase based on your account (this even works for purchases on the HAUTELOOK Nordstrom clearinghouse website!) and refunds are a snap! Drawbacks: The only gripe I have for this location is that the parking lot is underground and often people drive carelessly around the curves that wind down to the lower levels of parking. But other than that risky run from my car to the elevators, I have no complaints about the Tyson's Nordstrom Rack and find affordable luxury almost every time I visit. read more

Horrible staff, horrible store. They're clearly understaffed and have completely given up on finding suitable cashiers or training them. No name tags, rude, incompetent, discourteous staff and managers aren't much better. Yesterday cashier took over an hour to return about 20 items. She told me they stopped accepting Nordstrom returns 4 months ago, turns out not to be true. She made my day a nightmare, she was clearly intent on being awful. The worst part is that all these horrible cashiers eventually make their way across the street to Nordstrom at Tyson's Corner Mall and are just as awful there. I've learned not to buy anything at Rack as of about 5 years ago all their sale items turn out to be "final sale," but typically not labeled as such until either checkout or after payment was made online. The store in general - and this one in Tyson's / Vienna in particular - is just a disaster. read more

She went out of her way to assist me with an issue I was having and even though I started out irritable, she was patient and kind and really changed my mood (which is not an easy thing to do once I'm annoyed). Hot diggity dog, this place is the bee's knees! Super organized, well-stocked, and great, great prices on their stuff. I didn't even realize that Nordstrom Rack carried home accessories and beauty products until my most recent trip here, and being able to shop hot beauty brands like Bliss, Philosophy, Stila, It's a 10, and more at hugely slashed prices was like a dream come true. I saved probably a hundred dollars or more over what I would have spent on the same products at Sephora or Ulta. Who knew?! I also walked away with a sweet jacket that looks identical to one I was literally JUST looking at on Nordstrom.com last night, for a great price. Finding staff on the floor was a little bit difficult at times, and the Kate Spade watch that I ended up falling in love with had a dead battery. But the saleswoman offered me a 10% discount because they couldn't replace the battery for me, and she was able to remove a link from the watch band for me, so I really can't complain. I'm super glad that I stopped off here, as my body is about to be bathed in many various beauty products, and I'm already set for winter with my new faux-fur hooded coat. A great place to shop when you love brand names at reduced prices! Nordstrom Rack has some great deals- you just have to have the time and patience to browse to find things that fit your size and aesthetic. They have two stories filled with racks of things to go through. They have a really large shoe selection, which I really enjoy. I like that they are sorted by various pricepoints- they have designer racks, regular racks, and clearance racks, all sorted by size. I would say this is a great place to pick up nice gifts. You can buy purses, scarves, home decor, or clothes for your loved ones! They have fun little trinkets to tempt you while you are in line too, like fun pom pom keychains, tassel phone chargers, eos chapstick, and panda pouches.... Overall, the store is pretty organized and is a fun place to shop. Free parking is a plus, too! Make sure you sign up for their free rewards program to earn points for "Nordstrom Notes" which are basically gift certificates that you can use in store. You just have to give your phone number! I love Nordstrom Rack as a whole. But this location... is one of the best. Parking is fairly simple, they have a parking garage below that is free of cost. It's just a matter of finding a spot, with the awful drivers that can't manage to park efficiently. if you can get through that part, you'll find the shopping experience even more rewarding in the end. Upon walking in, you get greeted by the fresh not yet worn out Nordstrom Rack employee, who has only worked here since the opening day which was fairly recent. So it's the best time, these employees aren't yet jaded and worn out from working here. Get them while they're fresh! The service is good, and the check out point is fairly quick and pleasant to get through. The first floor is Men's and Children's. Along with women's accessories. The second floor is where it's at. Although this store isn't that big in size. They carry some damn good merchandise in this specific store. They are organized and categorized better than other stores. I can't even tell you how much merchandise I wanted to throw onto my credit card, I probably could have maxed it out. I had to refrain. I could look through here all day. Ugh.... read more

Okay first of all of when me and my family went into the store everything seemed pretty organized and quiet until I brought my dog with me and I put him in a carrying bag because I don't want to put him on the floor. When I was with my mom on looking for clothes for my sister because I have a graduation ceremony coming up soon and I was hoping to find something nice for her to wear, until this one lady kept walking back and forth and kept stalking at me and my dog and every time when I go to a different section she keeps following me, and when I was waiting in the fitting room for my mom and my sister the same DAMN lady kept stalking me and my dog and she was trying to get close to us, and I was 3 seconds away to take a picture of her stalking us so I can upload it here but no I'm not going to do that cause it's not that big of a deal, And once my sister and my mom came out we were going to the cashier and the AGAIN!! she was heading towards the cashier too!! But I don't know the cashiers name but she was extremely sweet and she liked my dog and she seemed okay about me bringing him. But I couldn't tell if the stalker was the manager but she seemed rude because she didn't even bother to say Hi how are you doing cause she would say it to the other customers or her employees. $250 Sunglasses for only $79? Don't mind if I do! The BF and I stopped in last night because we have both recently lost our sunglasses and we needed a few things for our cruise next week WITH HIS ENTIRE FAMILY! (eeek!) This place is so organized so you can quickly find what you need without spending tons of time sifting through racks a la Forever 21, Marshalls & TJ Maxx. We were in an out of there in less than 30 minutes and we made out with Sunglasses, and 4 "parent friendly" dresses for me. I always reward myself with lip gloss or nail polish while waiting in the checkout line. They have great clothing, shoes, picture frames, and purses!!! Like usual, i went straight for the women's shoes. Although they did not have what i was specifically looking for, they did have a great selection in all their departments, including luggage, which i don't think I have seen in their stores before. Although their clearance sections were a little small, i was able to snag a few things at some really great prices. I went here instead of Nordstrom's because they have a better selection of women's suits. I was helped quickly upstairs but everyone I interacted with seemed to not like what they were doing because no one was smiling or acting happy! I went to checkout downstairs and my jacket didn't have a tag. The woman checking me out called her manager who then came downstairs, grabbed my jacket, went back upstairs and grabbed another jacket and the tag, then came back downstairs to check me out. It was pretty inefficient and took about 10-15 minutes. Once the manager came back down, she and the woman at the checkout were discussing other employees and why some were running late, why there was only one person checking people out, etc. It was very unprofessional in my opinion. From the outside it looks huge but once you go inside, it's not as big. It has two floors. The bottom floor contains children's items, men's items, and accessories. On the top floor you will find the woman's items along with junior items. I didn't like the selection of clothes but I did like the shoe selection, there were tons of shoes. Found some really nice things here over the weekend! The store is two levels so the goods are not jam packed on top of each other. They seriously have a huge shoe selection. I wear an 11 though so sometimes I have a hard time finding something good with any regularity. (Those with smaller feet will fair extremely well!) It looks like her first date best behavior has worn off and I'm seeing the real Rack, less perky and eager to woo me. Last Sunday evening there wasn't a single person on the floor offering to check customers out. We had to wait in a pretty long line. I was eager to buy stuff but only found socks that represented a good value. The men's jeans in particular seem to only be luxury brands (that I've never heard of) that are overpriced, even at their discounted rate. On the plus side my life partner found a very good value winter coat and they are now stocking men's pajamas!! I'll come back to you Rack, but a little more wary next time. I stopped in here for the first time today and was duly impressed. The parking garage made parking a dream, and easy when you're schlepping two kids who like to dart into traffic all the time... I found some sweet deals: Donald Pliner tall boots and minimalist NB sneakers for me, Kenneth Cole shoes for the kids, and a couple of small backpacks for the kids to tote around. Extremely well organized store, with all the right sized shoes lined up exactly where they were supposed to go for women and kids! The staff was helpful when I walked in, and the check out line had no wait (pays to get there on a weekday/holiday week morning, but still...) Just be sure you duck right onto the access road as soon as you see the Nordstrom Rack sign when coming down rte. 7. It's easy to think you need to go farther and then it's a pain the turn around after you pass over the Beltway. read more
