They told me that adding a pad under my foot and a non-slip band on the strap would solve the issue. It helped a little, but not completely leaving me somewhat disappointed. In addition to not receiving a complete fix, what really disappointed me was the service or lack thereof. The man working there barely looked up from what he was doing and never asked me to try on the shoe to see the problem for himself. He gave short, vague suggestions and seemed uninterested in actually helping. I had to walk back and forth to the shelves three separate times to find the products he mentioned, rather than him taking a moment to show me where they were. The whole interaction felt dismissive and rushed. The shop itself is tucked away inside Tysons Mall, so it is easy to miss unless you are looking for it. While it is convenient if you are already nearby, I would not make a special trip back. For a store that specializes in shoes, I expected more attention and care. The experience left me unimpressed and still struggling with the same pair of shoes.

They have a wide selection of not just Birkenstock but other brands like Hoka. One thing that immediately stood out was the customer service. I really wish I remembered her name to put in the review, but she was excellent. Even though I thought I knew my size, she suggested I use the foot scanner machine and proceeded to educate me on my foot pattern. I got to meet the owner and his adorable little dog, Winston. He was very personable and showed me all of my options, including some sale options that were past season. He has a great selection. I purchased another pair when I went to return them. Their prices are on par with the Birkenstock USA and Amazon.com. I think most pairs of Birkenstocks go for $120-$140. Many pairs are on sale (10% off), and they advertise in the Clipper Magazine (check your mail: 10% off purchases under $150, 15% off purchases $150-250, 20% off $250+). All things considered, you will probably break even or save by shopping here. I purchased a pair of Birkenstock Boston clogs and a small item for $128--yes, that includes tax! Right now, these shoes alone retail for $140 on the Birkenstock USA website and Amazon.com--not including tax! All the sales clerks wore nautical outfits down to the deck shoes. They are friendly as a few greeted me yet at the same time, they weren't hovering, which I appreciated. The one I went into was named "skip jack tuna". Both shirts were way too big so I tried the next smallest size. So, who was I to argue? I found another one in a different color. I guess he figured that since he just bought some clothes at Macy's (Macy's is the cheap store at the Galleria) that I might as well buy some, too. I washed the shirts when I got home and they held up very well plus the care instructions were not complicated---always a plus! Each shirt had their logo, which is a whale, on it.
