I have called Sundial Locksmith in numerous occasions to get a cost estimate on getting new Key FOBs for our vehicles. They will not tell you anything over the phone, instead they want you to come in to their store or dispatch a mobile unit to your location. I took my wife's vehicle in to the store to reprogram 2 key FOBs that I purchased on line. They charged me $65 for the first one and $35 for the second one. This included cutting of new Keys that are stored inside of the FOB for emergencies. The whole job took 15 minutes and the young man helping me was very courteous and polite. Today, I called to ask for pricing on replacement key FOBs for my Vehicle and got the same treatment, no answer on pricing , just come down. Again, I went down to the store and had them check the FOBs to make sure they were actually working. I had one new key FOB that I bought online that needed to be programmed to my vehicle, expecting the same $65 price. The tech looked at me and said $100 (to program 1 Key FOB without cutting an internal key). I walked out. Had he given me the $65 price, I would have probably given him the job. I will never understand why people in this line of work want to take advantage of and Gouge their customers that are simply looking for a little help and Honesty. Sundial, you need to Post and standardize your prices. Pricing should not change depending upon who's behind the counter on any given day. read more

I went in on a Friday with Emmy 4yr old. What should of taken a few mins took a few hours (not their fault). My car battery died and it caused chaos. But they did not give up, they did everything possible get the job done. My car was not playing nice. They even had to take out the battery. But again it was just my car that decided to be terrible. I would give them more stars if I could. I locked my key in the trunk of my car this morning, and I couldn't get someone out to help. I was told that a locksmith would be a lot of money, but this place was surprisingly affordable. When I called, I was helped swiftly, the customer service was on-point. I got a call back within the hour, and a guy was at my place in no time. The guy who came out to help me was a rockstar!! He was nice, concise, and the whole thing took maybe 6 minutes. Amazing experience. I honestly had no idea how great the other end of the Trader Jones plaza had become. I had waited all day for another shop to come to my house and then they just ghosted me. I was only here for 2 days and need some keys programmed. I called them at 4:30, arrived about 4:45 and was out the door a little after 5. Programmed 3 keys for me, in my car with his tablet. This isn't some old style smoked filled locksmith. I had a busy day and asked this company to change my lock. I told the person I spoke with I would have someone there that I would not be available. The "owner" arrived over 30 minutes late with an OUTRAGEOUS fee. He was upset I could only text (which I communicated to the original person I spoke with). I did not agree to the fee. He then tried to charge a trip fee in a very rude way and then proceeded to install a $600 lock when I told him in writing the person there did NOT have authorization to install and the message was read (I have the screenshots). No employees were wearing masks as required by Tempe city mandate. I was quoted a price for a key on the phone only to be told in person that it would be an additional $35 to have the key programmed my car. He couldn't figure out how to program it to my car so he had to "clone" a chip to a different car key. I looked it up on YouTube and ended up doing it myself on the first try! Don't bother Update! After my negative review I received an angry call from the business owner. I have since blocked over 15 calls from him as I don't have time to waste on things like a car key. I have included a photo of the crappy key I got from him with no rubber buttons (would you let out of your business?). I also included the Google search so that he can program Toyota keys moving forward. I would also cast doubt on the amount of google reviews this business has as most of the reviewers have limited reviews and knowledge of grammar making me guess that they are bought and paid for reviews. I got locked out of my house this morning on my way to a client site. I googled locksmith and Sundial was the first one to come up. They got here in 30 minutes as promised and were able to unlock two doors (security and front) in about 5 minutes maybe 10 minutes tops. It didn't require any special tools. Actually, they sprayed a foam in the lock, and used a small tool, and both doors were opened. They charged me $329. It was $50 for the service call and $279 was the unlock fee. I'll update if the situation improves but so far, 3 stars is being nice. The guy that answered barely spoke English, kept "correcting" the street names I gave him (he was totally wrong and I spent most of the call repeating the same three phrases.) He was unfamiliar with the area (not what you want when locked out of your car in a strange part of town and you specifically called a local because they are local and I'm not.) On top of all that, he was also a mumbled that let the last part of his word/sentences trail off. In the end I called another locksmith because I couldn't figure out if I even had someone coming to help, the call was that confusing. The locksmith showed as promised and was super nice/personable and quick. Good dude, makes me feel guilty for the three stars but their phone people need to move to match. I would contact the tech directly if I could. I don't think I'll use Sundial again until they fix the call center. read more
